We were so fortunate to find Martha's Deadwood Doghouse. She worked with us in terms of dropping off time for what was going to be a full day of day care but a very short notice turned into an overnight stay. She made sure to follow all of the instructions we had in terms of food, water and sleeping arrangements for our little ones. She also communicated with me all throughout their time with her and even sent me a photo so that I could know that they were doing great. In all honesty my dogs don't do boarding all that well they're normally pretty freaked out by the next day. However, when I picked them up the next day they were both calm and relaxed which was a wonderful surprise. With her being located less than five minutes from deadwood it made getting back-and-forth incredibly convenient. If we're ever in the area again we absolutely will use her services and wish she was located closer to our home so that we could have someone that reliable and amazing to look after our dogs all the time.

I was told we were all good that we just needed my vet records from MT. I provided my records, called and verified that they were all good and was told they were. I get a call today telling me one of my dogs was past due on one of his shots and was told not a big deal they can give it to him when he gets there. Keep in mind I got the call today and was supposed to drop dogs off at 10 tomorrow. I get a call around 3 today telling me the lady who called me earlier was wrong and they cant watch the dogs under any circumstance. So 17 hours before my trip they cancel on me I understand the reasoning but had they done there job correctly I would of had 4-5 days to fix the situation instead of 17 hours. Definitely some incompetence somewhere at this place!

Dr Ireland saw Zuni, took some labs & came back with a reasonable diagnosis. She eliminated Giardia & bacteria issues & started her on Metronidazole, probiotics & an ID diet. After a few days of this protocol, Zuni is doing much better. Dr Ireland was very instructive, patient, and thorough. I will follow up with my vet when I reach my home, but appreciate Dr Ireland immensely with her diagnosis & help. I would recommend this practice, as staff & vet were kind & professional. Practice was extremely clean & organized.

I anticipate expense when it comes to good veterinary care, so honestly, the cost doesn't bother me. I had a vet tech once who was very intimidated by my German Shepherd and actually said it outloud that she didn't trust German shepherds. That was the only somewhat negative experience I've had there. Otherwise, it's always been great!

I was very excited to bring our dogs here on our cross country move & with this being our 3rd…read moreboarding stop, I assumed it would be the same outcome. Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience. Upon picking up our 2 dogs (who have been kenneled many times before without incident), we noticed that the smaller dog's head was very wet & the person who gave her to us simply said "That must have just happened." It wasn't until we got her outside that we could see her head was ripped open. We took her back inside & they simply said "I guess she got a scratch." We then took her to a local vet to have her checked out & had to spend $160 to have staples put in her wound. (see photos) I am very disappointed in their apathy for our dog & her injuries incurred while we entrusted them with the care of our dogs. We will make sure that we don't let any friends & family in the area risk their pets at this business. Update: received a call from owner expressing apology & a suggestion to kennel my dogs separately. Thanks....
