I hardly drink and did not get even a baby buzz from the drink. The Margarita was OK. The service was OK. Each drink was $300 MXN or around $17 USD. Maybe I visited on an off day? There's plenty of other places in the area, this place would be a last resort.

Lets get to the food shall we. Chapulunes Tacos - Yes I like this stuff. I adore the preparation. The avocado doesn't really do much for the rest of the taco, but sauced up its a 6.8/10 Mushroom Taco - I couldn't stress enough about my partiality to vegan food. I adore the texture and the taste. I feel they put all the effort on this taco. 8.7/10 Al Pastor - It's nice and juicy. The the pineapples are present. Taste does fall a little short from the ones I've had before. 7.6/10 Service was pleasant. The ambiance was a total vibe. I would definitely recommend. If you ever make it to Tulum, do give this spot a proper go at it and let me know what you think. Hit that like and follow for more food and travel adventures by yours truly. Stay: We took a garden view room, for 1315 USD$ for 5 nights. This is during thanksgiving break so prices were higher. In my opinion don't waste your money on beach view rooms, this is a small establishment walking to beach from any room is barely a minute and you won't even get any beach view because of trees. Rooms are nice, the bathrooms are a bit old. Hot water is not available all the time. One water bottle is refilled every day, you can always refill it at the reception. The staff is nice, no bickering or complaints ever. 2. Amenities: They have cycles to rent for few pesos a day. You can book excursions through them, easy and convenient. We booked one to Chichen Itza, for 100$ USD per person just a day before no hassles. This was after going a lot of back and forth and the lady was not annoyed with us at all. Always there to help! 3. Food and drinks: You'll get a complimentary breakfast, don't expect a spread you'll get breads, fruits, granola, yoghurt and boxes of cereal. You can order one drink and a food plate from the menu. In short breakfast is good and sufficient. Never had lunch here, but sat on beach ordered beer and smoothies with guacamole and chips, again a nice experience no problems. 4. So why 3 stars: We saw other resorts and somewhere we fealt despite nice staff, good service, amenities and okish rooms we have over paid our stay. I will rate them 5 stars if they were priced 150$ per night. 250$ per night for Rosa Del Viento is a little over kill. Misc: They have a bbq night on Thursday and Saturday it's good, I took a tuna wifey took just guacamole nd chips. We also took a massage with them nicely priced but it's not extravagant.

The…read moreprice was the same ( slightly higher actually 1600mxn for 2 -550 gets applied to the food per person vs 1200 in mamasitas - the same consumable amount ). Have to compare the two as they're side by side and have the same product offering . Service - 4 vs 4.5 ( the other is more attentive , they constantly replenished our ice / water bucket, I didn't have to flag the server). Food - 4 vs 3 ( the burger here was quite good but the nachos tasted stale , food was on the small side especially the chicken wings at the competition) Ambiance - 3.5 vs 4.5 ( the other place is more Modern , have a swimming pool, they have a dj and dancers). If they reduce the amount they charge, are more attentive, the whole experience will be better and more would consider coming here . It's a good alternative especially because it's beach front ( both are )

You get a tranquil atmosphere and just a few paces away from the sea and this restaurant/bar is completely open-air so you can feel the breeze and soak in the ocean view. The menu is a Mexican culinary experience elevated and with an emphasis on the grill and crafting the food by hand. There's a wide array of unique signature drinks and cocktails influenced by the tropical atmosphere and nature. We ordered the cocktails. One was a chocolate milkshake and a whirlwind of dessert flavors. Very satisfying. The is more citrus based but just as delicious and is the perfect drink on a hot day. We really enjoyed watching them make the guacamole at our table by grinding oven roasted avocados into a flavorful mashup. Then they bring out the tostadas fresh off the grill and it is heaven for guac lovers. Also, their papas are really good. Thick slices of potatoes dressed in a delicious sauce. Service at the restaurant is also excellent and they really aim to please you. Enjoyed both our meals here very much.
