Chicken Chicken Tikka Masala Curry and Rice

Came in for lunch. We saw it driving past so on our way back we decided to swing by to check it out. We had originally thought it was a fast food spot but it was actually a restaurant that you could order takeout or eat in there. We decided to eat in. It was a cute little spot. The menu has a lot of options so it was hard to choose. We ended up getting the chicken masala and the meat combo plate. We also ordered naan bread. It all came out quick and really good portions that we came home with leftovers. Not a bad place to find.

Got all the way home to enjoy my Chicken Platter.. no sauce on the platter at all... no garlic sauce no Brazilian sauce.. that's what make this entire meal come together.. check your order before you leave if you live far away.. very dissapointed

Definitely not what you expect from the outside appearance. The Gyro Hub is located across the street from KFC and is so new, it still has the grand opening sign on full display. As you enter, you are taken aback by the beautiful interior design and the one of a kind ceiling. The tables are wonderful, and the ambience is definitely relaxed and spacious. There is only 1 hostess, and she was responsible for taking orders, acting as a cashier, seating, bringing out food and answering calls. The cooking crew act as waiters as well... Upon entering, you are thinking this would be a dine in experience, but you quickly discover that the operation is more alike fast food. Everything is ordered up front and paid for in advance. Your food is brought out to you, and that's where the service ends. The dress appearance of the staff is definitely at odds with the appearance of the restaurant. Cooks are walking around with sweat pants and casual sweaters, and the operation is lacking -- confusion rears its head and you hear cooks asking aloud whose order is whose instead of referring to order numbers. I ordered the "bomb burger." The meat was definitely delicious. The drinks, however, come in cans, and the fries are frozen grocery store quality. The buns on the burger fall apart, and for the price paid, $14 for this burger... a toasted brioche bun would be better. The pickles and the tomatoes tasted flat, and the special sauce was fantastically hidden, as if scared of itself. Definitely worth a try though, it has an egg.... I will be back to try their platter plates and unique offerings. So long as you eliminate your expectations for service, its not bad at all. just think eating in at McDonalds, but sitting in a beautiful dining room and paying extra for something different. Definitely worth a try

We didn't know what to expect here but the food was fantastic. The exterior of the building is kind of a hole in the wall but the staff was friendly and the flavors were excellent. The owner came out and made sure everything was satisfactory and it was a nice personal note.

Food was delicious and we felt it was appropriately priced. The service is okay girl was friendly enough but it's a quick serve vibe no one really checks in after they bring out the food. I think from the outside you're like ok cool little kabob place but inside it's just awkward. The vibes are just all over the place and it feels kind of lacking in thought/planning. I know other business have previously failed here and I feel like it's partly fault to the lack of esthetic and branding. My two cents... Have happy hour with more small plate options. Big Cafeteria style tables would be so cool here! Ditch those over sized booths they do not go with the industrial vibes of the building. Paint it one color! Get ride of the Mismatched decor Add lots of live plants there ya go... cool trendy vibes! It has so so much potential! I hope you all make it and create a cool space out of it.

Each plate came with two skewers of meat, rice pilaf, pita bread, tzatziki sauce, and a Greek salad, with the option to substitute fries for the rice. The rice pilaf was especially good: soft, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. In my opinion, the steak could have used a little more seasoning and salt, but it was tender, and the tzatziki added a lot of flavor. The salad was also delicious, and I'm pretty picky about salads! The lettuce was super crisp and fresh, and the vinaigrette gave it so much flavor. It was also the perfect size--not too little, but not overwhelmingly large. The souvlaki plate is a very generous portion, and you could easily get two meals out of it. I was only able to finish about half, so I definitely think the price is worth it. My husband ordered The Great Greek Gyro for $13.99 and loved it. He said it was flavorful, filling, and a generous portion. We also ordered the kids' cheese pizza meal for $9.99, which comes with a choice of rice or fries. We chose the fries, and they were crispy and delicious. Even though we ordered everything to go, the inside was cute, clean, and spacious enough that it didn't feel crowded or suffocating. There is also a restroom inside. The employee at the front was extremely nice and helpful. I told her it was my first time and that I needed a little time to decide, so she handed me a menu with pictures. It was much easier than trying to read through the menu above the counter, and I really appreciated that. The location is convenient, with plenty of parking, and it's right next to Chipotle and Raley's. We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, everything else missed the mark. I ordered the seasonal watermelon salad and was surprised to find only four small cubes of watermelon, a handful of very thin cucumber slices, and four small pieces of feta. To make matters worse, the dressing had leaked all over the inside of the delivery bag, so everything arrived messy. I also ordered the lemon soup, but it tasted more like a basic chicken and rice soup. I couldn't taste any lemon at all. I've had some outstanding Greek lemon soup over the years, and this just wasn't close. The gyro saved the meal, but the salad and soup were disappointing enough that I'd probably only come back for the gyro.

The closest dish available to fulfilling our ultimate goal was their Loaded Gyro Bowl that came with their 2 sauce combination and mixed beef/lamb cube meat (they don't have the sliced meat version). I was skeptical at first but a worker (owner?) allowed us to sample their cubed-shaped meat and oh booooy.. delicious and succulent! We ordered 4 Loaded Gyro Bowls along with hot sauce on their side. Had a couple of desserts to go with it. Every bite was absolutely and incredibly delicious! 4.4 stars rounded down to 4. Why not 5? The meat portions of the 4 bowls. The meat portions were just too small compared to Falafel Corner's corners competitors. The Loaded bowls seemed to be primarily rice and hardly any meat to go with it. Don't get me wrong - the taste was precisely what we were looking for and comparative to the Halal Guys. Gotta have more meat per bowl if charging a hefty price. For example, just take a look at the photo - see how gorgeous the meat is? Unfortunately that's all the meat you get - nothing under it except for rice. That top layer of meat has no extra layers of meat underneath. Biggest advice I could provide if ordering their bowls: Ask for another scoop of meat (or perhaps on the side if they charge extra). Ask for extras of their two sauces that come with each bowl. Along with their hot sauce on the side, you're going to want to mix in as much of the extra sauces as possible to hit that perfect spot you're craving for if you're familiar with those Halal New York carts. 1. Extra meat per bowl 2. Extra sauces per bowl (the 2-part white sauce) 3. 1 hot sauce on the side for each bowl Service was fantastic, place was clean and tidy, parking is plentiful in a plaza that's not overwhelming, enough tables for a few parties to dine in, ambience is cozy, and they prepare your orders upon placing them so the food is always fresh. Kiosk in front to order promptly or simply order the old fashioned way if you'd like assistance. Incredible Mediterranean food and if you're looking for something (very) close to The Halal Guys, this is it! It'd be a perfect 5 stars for me if they just had included more meat per order. Regardless, definitely worth a go if you haven't stopped by yet!
