I got the lamb plate this time. It came in a small container. It was very good but the amount you get is quite disappointing. I'd only go back for the gyros because I get more filled up with the pita bread lol. Service was fast. The store is large and clean. There's plenty of seating. They don't have water cups though. We live in Sacramento. My relative lives in Oroville. Yuba City is about halfway between the two. We wanted to take her out for her birthday. Falafel Guys was perfect. She's vegetarian so she had the falafel plate. We ordered lamb gyros. We all really enjoyed our food. I asked for spicy sauce for mine. That gave it a little extra kick. This place is nice and clean, they do take care to make sure the dining area is clean. I had high hopes for this place and maybe my expectations were out of line for the restaurant concept but I was hoping for freshly made food. I got a combo gyro with lamb and chicken with tzatziki sauce and spicy as well as a piece of baklava. The sandwich had a decent flavor but when biting into the meats you can tell none of them were freshly cooked, had a reheated leftover flavor and texture. The rest of the sandwich was good but I really wish it had freshly made meats in it. The baklava came on a small tray and it wouldn't come off of it. The piece was completely stuck to the bottom and cold throughout - no clue how long this piece was kept like this in a refrigerator or out on the display stand. This is definitely not a freshly made piece and it was dry and stale as if sitting over a week or two. 2 stars because the place is clean and inviting when you walk in but the food can use some big improvement. If freshly made, the food would shine a lot more but it's not and that really disappoints. read more

Falafel Guys definitely know how to make a great gyro. I got mine with spicy tzatziki sauce, which was delicious! The vegetables tasted awesome, so fresh and crispy. The lamb meat was delicious, tender and flavorful. This was my first time trying baklava and it was soo good. I read that you should eat it upside down in order to capture all the flavors correctly, which I did. So glad I came here today. It's a cute little restaurant, with plenty of seating, and a quiet atmosphere with great lighting. The chairs were very comfortable. Normally, I don't mention something like that, but they were so comfortable that I had to give them a shout out! The customer service was friendly and very fast. Good people running this establishment. I asked for a modified salad with sliced tomatoes & onions instead of diced cucumber and tomatoes, and they obliged. Though the onion wasn't the freshest. The lamb plate was very filling. Add a slice of pita bread and you'll be full. The tzatziki sauce was nice and did well with the add-it-myself Sriracha. The rice missed the mark for me on taste, but was cooked perfectly. The lamb was cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely. Restaurant is clean and well-lit. Just might need to grab a napkin and wipe off the messy Sriracha spout. I think the best part of the meal was the pita bread added for $1! Staff is nice but the food wasn't the best we had the chicken salad the lamb fries and a gyro and it was ok. The lettuce was a little wilted and there wasn't much to the salad the lamb was really odd it was like lamb meatballs but with a weird texture. Basically if you are ok fast food quality this isn't bad at all but if you are wanting a little higher quality I probably wouldn't recommend. The price is pretty good as well. read more
