Location Just off 301. Parking Large lot-lots of space. Service Easy online order. Omar was very friendly and provided outstanding service. The executive Chef was there to greet me and attend to the food. Food We had the lamb kabob-very tasty. Omar offered us a variety of sauces which were all tasty. They substituted the spinach for cabbage-which was fine with us. Amazing! Served with pita. The rice was light and fluffy. The large salad was large-chopped well, and fresh. Summary Local, easy to order, friendly and attentive service, healthy food that is definitely gourmet! Delish!

Good Day good people! We have another spot that I needed to review,. If you been with me, you know how I like to do it, we rate, atmosphere, service and of course FOOD!! Let's get into it! Atmosphere (4.5 Stars) from the outside, it looks very dingy, for the longest I didn't go because I judged the outside (I normally don't do that lol) but I'm new to the area so at first it didn't do it for me. However inside it's definitely a friendly vibe. Service (5 Stars) the cook and the gentleman behind the register are great and friendly! Every time I go they have me laughing and make me feel like my business is important. If I could give them 10 stars I would for service! Food (5 Stars) I am NEVER disappointed! Everything is flavorful and seasoned!! This isn't just edible, it's actually GOOD! There's a difference. I had the Boneless Chicken chunks with rice and potatoes, wife had Tikki Marsala, with Naan.

I was craving some food on a random day and decided to do research on yelp and came across this establishment. It had five stars so I knew it had to be great. However, I was not impressed unfortunately. I ordered a lamb chops, which came with rice, a vegetable and a salad and of course the non-bread, the food was average. I cannot comment on the service and or the ambience in the establishment as it's just a carryout and I do not recommend eating there.

Hubby and I were craving some lamb one COVID-mandatory-quarantined evening and KabobBQ was a top local result! We placed our orders conveniently online (I got the lamb kabobs with chickpeas and a side of potato curry and my husband ordered the lamb chops) and made our way for pick-up. Upon arrival we had to wait about 5 additional minutes (in our vehicle) which was no biggie at all because the kind gentleman brought out our food once it was done. The ride home was the worst - argh! My food was finger licking! The lamb was done to perfection, my chickpeas were seasoned perfectly, the potato curry was drool worthy (mind you I was going out on a limb ordering this as I had never had it and I'm glad I did), my side salad was FRESH and the perfect compliment, and the buttery naan was pillowy soft!!! I truly enjoyed my dinner! My husband on the other hand said his lamb chops were too spicy, but I disagree. I'm kicking myself for always passing by this spot and not stopping in until now. This was my first visit but def not my last!

The food at KabobBQ is delicious. That's not my issue. If you order online you pre-pay. I love the lambchops but literally 50% of the time I order either it charges me but says the restaurant didn't get the order or it charges me then I get a call saying they're canceling because they don't have lamb chops. There has to be a way for them to not let you order if an item isn't available. Today I ordered the shrimp skewer meal and added an extra skewer and the shorted me 1 shrimp. The skewers are 4 shrimp each but I only got 11 shrimp. I have only had one occasion where there wasn't an issue. Again, the food is delicious so I'll go again but I won't go out of my way for it because of the fear of disappointment

My wife and I have been looking for good Indian food. This restaurant serves an Afghan version of Indian food. The vast majority of their reviews focus on the kabobs. They missed some great food here because this place is more than just kabobs!! We tried 8 dishes on 2 visits: Lamb Curry, Chicken Tikka Marsala, Lamb Biryani, Beef Wrap, Salmon Kabob, Shrimp Kabob, a side of spinach, and a side of Naan. The Naan is made in-house. On the first visit, it was hard and inedible. We told them on our second visit. We were given a second naan for free. That was great customer service! It was chewy and a little crispy hard around the edge. The flavor was typical white flatbread. It was not worth the price. The spinach dish had boiled spinach with a blend of simple seasonings like salt, pepper, and maybe garlic. It was bland. The Palak Chaat or Palak Paneer might be better. The Shrimp Kabob had 4 shrimps. They were 21/25 size shrimp. It had a strong grilled flavor with a peppery marinade. They were tender and moist and the shrimp flavor was good. It's definitely worth getting! The Salmon Kabob was one slice of salmon filet, about 4 inches long. It had a slight grilled flavor and a moderate salmon flavor with a hint of salt and pepper. It was tender and somewhat moist. A simple dish that was good tasting, but not great. The kabobs came with dipping sauces. There was a green sauce, a white sauce, and a hot sauce. The hot sauce was ground red peppers in water. It was extremely hot. It's that simple. The green sauce tasted like it had mint, salt, pepper, vinegar, and a leafy green herb flavor. No heat in this sauce. The white sauce tasted like a ranch dressing that was sour and peppery. These sauces were interesting and different from other Indian dipping sauces that we've had. Did we love them? They were okay. We've had better. The Lamb Biryani had pieces of lamb, basmati rice, and yellow curry. It was spicy hot and flavorful; however, the overwhelming heat from the hot peppers in the curry needs to be reduced a little so the spices and seasonings can be appreciated. The basmati rice was cooked well. The lamb was tender and had a slightly gamey flavor. Overall, this dish had a pleasing combination of flavors that worked well together except for the excessive hot peppers. You can ask for a specific spice heat level. It ranges from 1 to 10. They use jalapeño peppers for heat. You can ask for no hot peppers also. The Lamb Curry had chunks of lamb meat in an onion spice sauce. It came with basmati rice. We asked for heat at a 5 level. It was crazy hot! So, what is a 10? A flame thrower?! In between bites, with some milk to drink, I could tell that the curry had many complementary ingredients of herbs, spices, and seasonings. With less hot pepper, this dish would be delicious. The lamb was moist, tender, and not gamey in flavor. My wife didn't mind the heat, so she loved it. The Chicken Tikka Marsala had marinated chicken meat pieces with chopped onions in a tomato cream sauce. It came with basmati rice. It was slightly hot even though we ordered it without hot pepper. That was a mistake on their part. But we enjoyed it anyway. The chicken was tender and moist. This dish had a flavorful blend of spices and seasonings in the sauce and chicken. The tomato and cream flavors were balanced nicely. The flavor profile was well-rounded which made it satisfying and tasty. The Beef Wrap had a soft corn tortilla filled with lettuce, tomato, onion, a piece of ground beef, and white sauce. The tortilla was huge compared to the filling. There was a small amount of tomatoes, onions, and lettuce. There was one strip of beef made of seasoned ground beef. It was small in size. The beef flavor and seasoning were mild. Basically, it was a corn tortilla with a little flavor from the filling. It was not worth the money. The dining room and restrooms were clean. There were 9 tables and 19 chairs indoors. There is no outdoor seating. Omar, Chef Hashim's son, was friendly, helpful, and informative. You can watch kabobs being grilled while you wait. It took some time for food to be prepared, like 35 minutes for a biryani, 2 kabobs, naan, and spinach. Good food takes time to make. We were pleasantly surprised to find some outstanding dishes here! We'll be returning for our favorites and to try some new dishes.

I love this place. I love the flavors and the customer service. Both of these dishes were great. Seasoned perfectly. I personally like the drier rice but I know some don't. Just keep that in mind. They give you fresh Naan bread with your platters. Their green sauce and the spicy one are both delicious. Ask for extra if you use a lot of sauces. NY favorite side dish is the curried chickpeas. They are flavorful and tender. The spinach is awesome as well. I didn't give it a 5 because I think their prices are a little high for the portions they give. Otherwise, I love them.

What a hidden gem! This place may not look like much on the outside but it's worth a visit. I picked up a to-go order and the car smelled amazing the whole drive home. We loved the chicken kabob--cooked perfectly, with barbecue crispy outside, and juicy meat inside. The curries were also deliciously bold with plenty of seasoning, aroma, and creaminess. The sauces that accompany the dishes also enhance the flavors. Highly recommend for a decadent dinner!

My husband and I drove 50 minutes to try this place out due to the reviews. We easily found it located right off 301. The parking lot has an odd layout but that's not a big deal. The place is relatively small inside with about 5 tables. Right when I walked in I noticed two things, how cold it was and this loud, high pitched whistling noise. That's ultimately why I took one star off because we dined in and both the cold and sound were bothersome. That aside, the food and service were great. We both got a combo. I had the shrimp and salmon kabob combo. The combos come with salad, rice, bread and a vegetable. It's a great deal. The shrimp and salmon had great flavor and were cooked perfectly as were the rice and potatoes. The potatoes could've used a bit more salt in my opinion. They gave us ranch for the salad but I noticed unlike traditional ranch it had a bit of a kick. They also gave us 3 sauces, a vinegar based sauce, one yogurt based, and a spicy sauce. I loved the spicy sauce but beware, it's spicy like ghost pepper or reaper, not jalapeño or even habanero. I tried to order the palak chaat but they didn't have any unfortunately. We took a rice pudding and baklava to go. The rice pudding was ok but the baklava was amazing. My husband and I agreed it was the best we've ever had. We will definitely be back when we're in the area.

Phenomenal. Service was quick and the staff was friendly and very attentive. Did the Chicken and Shami and both paired perfectly with the included bread and rice. WOW ! This place has the Best most authentic Mediterranean food I have ever eaten if only I wasn't 20 miles away I would eat here everyday for lunch I recommend the spicy chicken thighs also the pita bread is so amazing the people treat you like family not a customer best customer service ever thank you so much to the staff for being so charismatic they also threw in a couple free drink will 100% come back 10/10 food was so good it didn't stand a chance for a picture read more

Lunch was amazing! Got it to go and the portion size was surprising. I was so full after eating. I've been looking for a good, local kabob place and I found an amazing one. I got the combo 2 (chicken reshmi and shami) with chick peas and spicy sauce. Their sauces were delicious and very flavorful. They give you a huge piece of naan. This became one of my favorite restaurant instantly after i tasted the food. We ordered the combo 1, boneless thigh and lamb chops. Food was amazing. The potato was awesome. I don't think I've enjoyed potato curry anywhere and enjoyed that much. Owners were great too. Felt like the Restaurant was new or may be redecorated and reopened. The chairs and tables were new or well maintained. Definitely this will be my go to spot if I'm in the area again. Update: I came here 2 more times and They didn't budge from my fav list. read more

As part of my ongoing support for local businesses during the pandemic, I opted to check out Kabob BQ. I'm so glad that I did. This takeout spot is clean and staffed with friendly people. An assortment of kabobs and other reasonably priced fare, this venue is great. I ordered the Chicken Kabobs with a side of spinach. Everything was fresh, well spiced and delicious. And the naan...I am ashamed to admit that I ate the whole thing. This venue will be in my regular rotation. It is a wonderful gem in Waldorf. read more

Large menu encompassing a number of different preparations and tastes. Staff was extremely helpful in helping with choices and generally friendly. Prices were reasonable but not cheap. With the exception of the pre-seasoned entrees they give you a choice of heat, from 1-10. I chose a 6 on the lamb biryani and it moved the needle without being overpowering. read more

I've lived in Waldorf for three months and I'm overwhelmed with joy to find and authentic restaurant here. I can't stand big chain restaurants/franchises. We had Chickpeas, lamb curry, beef kebab, rice and naan. Everything was amazing! I order chick pea dishes everywhere I go and let me tell youuuuuu, this is the best!!! The naan is fresh outta the tandoor with burnt marks and all. The lamb was spicy and so fresh. The Kebobs are huge and flavorful. I could drink the little container of green sauce they serve with everything. I'll be here once a week from now on. Also the people who work here couldn't be nicer. I went in hangry and left with a smile ready to enjoy my food. It's the kind of food that feeds your body and soul. I'm writing this after a 3 hour food induced nap if that tells you anything. My only regret is not going sooner read more

Good food and awesome customer service to match! Started going here in 2020, during the pandemic and they always went above and beyond to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. The manager is always friendly. Food is always fresh, hot, and ready on time. I've continued to visit and found them to be accommodating and attentive to detail with food orders. Wheww this place NEVA and I mean NEVA disappoints! I love this type of food and I've finally found another place to get it in this area. The staff are ALWAYS nice and helpful, never had a bad experience and I have been at least 5 times in the past month. The food is a little expensive but the quality of worth it. I always get the spicy chicken thighs or regular chicken and shrimp skewers. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The food is cooked to perfection, the chicken and shrimp are always super juicy! The chick peas have a hint of what taste like curry in them which adds a little more heat to the dish . I have nooo complaints! I usually split the food up and eat half then and then half later! I'm so glad I found this place!!!! read more

I've driven by this place countless times, never venturing in. Don't be like me and wait so long to check it out. I had the lamb and chicken kabobs - both excellent. Having not dry white meat is impressive in and of itself, but a kabob? Whatever the secret is to a juicy, white meat chicken kabob, this place has figured it out. But then I got to the lamb, which was amazing and perfectly spiced, and it was even better than the chicken. I went with family members who, while intrepid eaters, can also be a bit snobby. This place is not fancy at all, but the food is amazing. The family members definitely said they'd be back again. Personally, this is going to be my new go-to when I'm out near that area. This is the BEST Kabob spot in Waldorf!! I was hypnotized by the aroma alone when I walked in! The staff is so nice and allow you to try the sides before you buy them. Everything I tried was AMAZING! Y'all, let me tell you.. the food is seasoned so well. Like somebody's grandma is back there cooking! I ordered the salmon/ shrimp kabob. It was cooked to perfection! The salmon was great quality, just moist, juicy deliciousness!!! Lord Have Mercy! My sides were cabbage, which was so great, chick peas, and butternut squash. All the sides were the BOMB.com!! The naan they give you is HUGE!! Mango & milk pudding, as well as baklava are the desserts... And it's ALL GOOD. The food is worth EVERY penny, so don't y'all go complaining about the prices. Quality costs money!! And I frequent another(won't say) kabob spot in the Dorf that used to be my fav, but they've been slacking big time! Kabob bq is #1! Umer , the owner, is very compassionate about his food and customer satisfaction. These guys are so wonderful! Please check them out and support our local businesses! This was our first time ordering food from here and let me tell you...I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! Online ordering was a breeze and my food arrived earlier than expected. We all got combos...chicken and lamb. The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked...not too spicy as my 9 year old devoured her meal...however, she did not like the spinach but I did. The lamb was tender and well seasoned and the chickpeas were delicious and the baby ate them up! The naan was huge and good...wish they had garlic naan which is my favorite!! It was my first time eating here and I was a fan. I got the Combo #5 (I believe). It came with chicken, beef and lamb kabobs. All were super yummy and made my mouth zing, in a good was. The hot and airy bread was great, dipped in the stewed chick peas. All the sauces were flavorful and this place had great customer service. read more

Open now, new management! I had just sides of the Kabuli Chana and Pumpkin for today, and a simple salad but MY was it good! It was seasoned/flavored well, the chana were just spicy enough, and the owners are quite charming! Will definitely be back with my family in tow! I will update my review when we come back! Great customer. Great food. What more can you ask for. We went for the first time today and the owner gave us a sample of one of the sides (butternut squash) and it was absolutely amazing. I had a chicken and a shrimp kabob with potatoes and my husband had a lamb kabob with chickpeas and neither one of us had any complaints. I'll definitely be back! read more

Excellent! I was pleasantly surprised. The out side of the building does not look like much, but the food was great. The ingredients were fresh as advertised. I ordered the lamb, chicken, and shrimp combo meal which included Middle Eastern styled rice, spinach, chickpeas, unleavened bread and a small salad. For dessert I had baklava. I reached the moon but I am still looking for the stars. This is truly the kabob wonder of the world. Folks, we have been here at least 35 times, traveling 1.5 hours one way. Translation: we have traveled so far a total of 105 hours over the past 8 months to a never disappointing meal. We were there today and ordered the ground beef kabobs and spicy chicken thighs as our first bite into the Tang Dynasty, the flavors were so explosive. For our next course we had their chicken tikka masala. It blew me away beyond the stars. The chef has mastered how to use spices to the maximum flavor without overwhelming the dish. The vegetables (potato curry, spinach, chickpeas, butter squash, and lentils) are unbelievable. At previous visits we have had the following: The lamb curry was to die for. And let's not forget the lamb chops and tandoori salmon. A+. The paneer shashik was cooked to perfection as was the shrimp kabob. The chicken reshmi, yummm. And don't forget the green mint sauce! It's so hard to find really good middle eastern food let alone without paying a premium. But there's a good reason why Kabob BQ is busy, they're absolutely fantastic and pretty cheap for what you get. Every time I've been their staff has been super friendly and laid back (in a good way), and conversational which I like. I've ordered from there several times now and have yet to find something I don't enjoy. Even my father who hates the taste of most currys really likes their curry. If you decide to swing by (which you should) the Chicken Tikka Masala is on par with ones Ive paid over $30 for at other places. It's become a regular place that I order from (almost weekly at this point) and I think it would be for you too if you give it a shot. read more

Oh my gosh. This place is so unassuming from the exterior but the food!? ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Definitely not a greasy spoon!! Everything is so fresh!! I've eaten curry all over the world and today I am so glad I took the time to swing by this joint and give it a try. The owners and staff are absolutley a pleasure to chat with and made sure what I ordered would work for me(pregnant making me more sensitive than usual). The Lamb curry is melt in your mouth and delicious. (level 2/3 heat) and the chicken Tikka masala with chicken thighs instead of white meat at a level 3 heat is phenomenal. The interior is quaint and the music is lively. The menu is all things seafood, in all ways. Most of the dishes come with one of the varying sauces from garlicky to spicy. As a starter we got oysters; grilled and on the half shell. Both were delightful. The snapper was incredible, flavorful and cooked to perfection. The sauce that I got, I believe doable wasn't too spicy and had just the right spice. The server was kind and answered all questions asked of him. I would definitely return.

The food is consistently delicious the brisket is tender, the pulled pork is flavorful, and the sides (especially the mac & cheese and coleslaw) never disappoint. I also love the patriotic atmosphere and how they honor our military and first responders it really sets them apart. Portions are generous, service is fast, and everything is always fresh. This is definitely one of our go-to spots for a satisfying, feel good meal.

The moment you step foot inside the restaurant, your hit in the nose with the beautiful smelling aroma of the kabob sizzling away on the grill. The rice is so fluffy and cooked to perfection! The curry potato is so soft and seasoned well. And the shami kabob is seasoned beautifully well and has a smoky flavor from the grill. Great food and very friendly service! I got lamb kebabs, and my spouse got chicken kebabs. The kebabs come with rice, a salad, a choice of veggie (potatoes, squash, or spinach) and a large piece of naan. Everything was really delicious. They were out of the pudding dessert, so they asked if we wanted baklava instead, and gave us a 2nd order or baklava free. Definitely will be coming here again. read more

Finally. We don't have to go to Virginia to have some good kababs. This place is new but looks like it will be successful. Tasty Kababs. Nice friendly staff. Decor is simple-more like a fast food place but food is good and portions are generous. They also have the traditional Pakistani and Indian dishes besides kababs.
