I've been coming here for a while and I love their bone-in chicken, bread, and the green sauce. However, these guys are becoming cheap and cheaper by the day! I mean who or what Kabob restaurant charges you for a tiny container of green sauce??? None that know of...but you must pay .50 cents, which is not a huge deal but as a matter of principle and to prove my point. One evening, I also attempted to call like 4-5 times to place an order so that I may pick it up. Yes, I was calling 20-25 minutes before closing but my goodness...no one would pick up the phone. I'm assuming they probably didn't want to take a last order and go home! Not good for business and regulars such as myself. I'm going to continue to eat my favorite bone-in here... Finally, the end of coming to this place from this moment. I just walked out because I was informed that they didn't have the bone-in chicken; the only item I order and have been ordering ever since the inception of this place. They also charged my card $14.25 before checking and was given a refund but now I must wait to receive it. I also had to give the cashier a lecture on a simply damn request that he just could not understand!!! I asked for my chicken to be put on top of the bread, not in the plate! It took me about 3 minutes to keep explaining this very simple request! Another surprise were the new prices! It's $12.25 for an order of chicken kabobs with tax it's $14.25. Wow! Tom N has been raving about this place for quite some time now, so I decided to indulge him after he endured nasty public transportation and the crowded streets of NYC to appease me. Kabob Corner certainly lived up to its reputation and proved to be as much of an indulgence for me as it was for him. The kabobs here really need no introduction, as every other reviewer will tell you how awesome the assorted meats are. Let me instead direct your attention to some meatless treats. The aushak, or pasta dumplings, despite being submerged in yogurt sauce, was excellent. Not sure what others look for, but I want my dumplings thin-skinned, plump, and identically-shaped. These leek-filled morsels met and even exceeded all my requirements. I could easily devour another appetizer portion of those, maybe more. I also tried their tomato-based vegetable curry, which was very flavorful and came in a heaping portion. In general, portions at this joint are extremely generous, and you definitely get bang for your buck. The family-owned business has mostly friendly and helpful staff, aside from this one frumpy-faced woman who almost cost the place a star. Then again, she's easily replaceable while the family recipes are here to stay. I could do without her attitude, but it's a very minor thing that can be ignored. I've had the food from Kabob Corner twice now and they really do a solid kabob. I've had the K6 - Skewer each of chicken, kubideh and lamb kabob, marinated in herbs and spices, grilled. And the K7 - Tender and juicy marinated lamb chops, grilled. While the K7 was decent, I've had better. I did really enjoy the combo plate the first time I had it. A friend from the office recommended this place and I took her up on her offer to pick something up for me. I ordered online, which was super easy, but didn't give me an option to select my side and that resulted in a guessing game for the people picking up the food. I ordered the beef kubideh wrap and it was pretty lame. The kubideh itself was a little dry and the veggies weren't condusive to the wrap environment. i.e. they were enormous chunks more suitable for a salad as opposed to thinly sliced for a wrap. All in all, it was a very awkward wrap. The accompanying french fries were straight from ore ida, so okay but not great there. Yeah, meh works. If you are looking for an excellent experience at a clean modern place with great food. Kabob Corner is it. The staff is friendly and willing to answer all questions about the food. The tandori chicken is good. Tender white meat or bone in thighs both are delicious. The cubideh (ground beef kabob) also is well seasoned and moist. Their specialty really is lamb. You cant go wrong with the lamb bone in Lollipops or the lamb tips. The naan is fresh and delicious and is hands down the best thing in the joint. I also have tried and liked the sambosa (peas, onions, ground beef, in a crispy fried shell). The hummus is fresh and has a nice lemony flavor and amazing texture. The sides could use a little work. The rice is fluffy and has great flavor but the toppings (spinach, pumpkin, chickpeas, meat sauce, and others) sit in a steam tray and all tend to have a "stewed" feel that I am not a fan of. Having said that, the flavor of the sides is not bad, and their quality far surpases the mediocre offerings found at similar specialty meat places (BBQ Joints ect.) The salad is small but excellent with great dressing. If you are looking for quality, fast, delicious Kabob with established NOVA pedigree (the owners are from the same family that runs Corner Kabob in Annandale) in or around Farifax City this is the place. Regardless of my review of the food the proof is in the pudding. Since they opened a few months ago, my family returns at least once a week. Several of my friends and co-workers have also made it a part of their weekly rotation, making a point to return. My father brought leftovers to work, 4 of his coworkers, impressed with the smell agreed to make the trek from arlington on their lunch hour the next day. All 4 now are repeat customers. Just made an online order for like 10 people for my workplace and they got our entire order PERFECT! I was in a rush and didn't have time to check the orders but they were all perfect. The food was delicious, the lady who helped me was really nice and thorough. She did NOT charge me for the white sauce as one of the review stated he must've just asked for extra sauce. The chickpeas were good, the naan was freshly made, and everything was grilled to perfection. I would've personally liked the green sauce to be a bit more spicy but I understand some people can't handle the heat. Their staff is extremely nice and genuine, reflecting true Afghan hospitality. Food is great, ordered the bolani as an appetizer and then got the chicken kabob for my main course, which comes with seasoned rice, salad, and tandoori naan. I dated a Iranian woman for a few years, so I was introduced to kabob and other regional dishes through one of their own. Of all of the places I have tried since becoming a homeowner in Fairfax City, this one is the best. No one else comes close. My reasons for this are fivefold: 1) High quality food. Prepared in a way that shows they care. The salad is crisp and not an after thought. The bread is perfect, crisp and doughy. The kabob meat is tender and juicy, never dry. 2) Great selection. Not just kabobs, but also flavorful afghan favorites like quabili palau (brown rice, carrots, raisins, lamb). Usually at least five sides from which to choose. Several desserts including funnel cake! 3) Clean, modern decor. This is not your typical dark, dingy kabob place. There is plenty of lighting and seating, and a big LCD TV for watching a show or football while you wait for your food. 4) Friendly staff and ownership. I'm always greeted with a smile and some conversation. It's never just a transaction. 5) Reasonable price. Kabobs are $7.95 and up. Entries are $8.95 and up. Desserts won't bust your wallet either. When I'm in the mood for this cuisine, I wouldn't think of going anywhere else at this point. I used to go to several places and Kabob Corner has them all beaten. read more

Ok, I must admit, I tried about 8 other kebab/kabob places in the area before my overwhelming initial opinion proved me right: Kabab Corner is THE place for kabob in Fairfax. One reason I love it so much, it reminds me SO much of the PROPER kebab I use to get living in Holland. These folks do a proper gyro, or kebab brodje that KICKS ASS. It is a meal in its self, comes with crinkle cut fries and while the wrap isn't CRAZY OVERSTUFFED with food (it doesn't NEED to be), It is a tandoor fresh naan with the meat of your choice, a WONDERFUL fresh salad mix w/ incredible refreshing dressing, cucumber, tomato, mint and is just delightful! I. LOVE. IT! I am dead serious when I say I get diner from here 3 nights a week: k6(sub dark meat/chicken thighs), meatballs for my side, and if my special ladyfriend is here, then an extra side of rice and extra naan and LIFE IS GOOD, we BOTH have enough for dinner. . . . .but, I do end up craving more, OK SO I'M A PIG! lol. I love Kabob corner. I generally eat the lamb kabob which comes with rice and the nan bread which is super amazingly delicious! They are quick and friendly. I'm not a big fan of gluten, but that bread is so good I am unable to resist its charms and generally eat most if not all of it! The only reason I am not giving 5 stars this time is the web ordering system on their web site. I have generally called and picked up my food but this time I tried ordering online. On the bright side, I was able to pay in advance so there was no fiddling with credit cards and signatures once I arrived at the restaurant. We just tried this place for the first time tonight, for take-out. Tried both beef and lamb kabobs. Portions were generous. Rice and bread were very good; we're saving the leftovers of both. But the kabobs were quite disappointing. Meat was overcooked to death: no meat flavor, tough, dry. But well-seasoned! Also (I guess in the Afghan tradition?), kabobs are meat-only; no pepper, onion, or tomato. Salad was iceberg with a few slices of tomato and cucumber.
