We stopped at this kabob place on the recommendation of a friend that specifically liked their chickpeas. My wife ordered the Super Combo Deluxe (lamb, shami, and chicken kabob platter) and I had the chicken breast kabob, both with a side of chickpeas (of course). Service was great, and the food oustanding! My chicken was tender and tasty, the nan bread freash out of the oven, and the chickpeas taste and creamy, deliscious! I did not try my wife's dish, but she was eating very quietly, which for her is the greatest compliment! Bottom line, our Farfax Kabob experience was great! We loved it!

As you can see in the picture it literally doesn't even look like a kabob. At first, I thought it was a piece of meat. I have eaten from here a few times before. I had an issue once but I said to myself let me give them another try. Not surprised and disappointed once again. What happened to you guys? Your food used to be so good. I almost paid $18 for this no drink included. The taste was absolutely average. I dont like to put any business down but please improve the taste and flavors of your kabobs. Food was super oily. Maybe it is the rice. Literally looked like a dry meat pieces. I dont think I will be returning. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their ambience for dine in is not bad at all. Nice seating too[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] but food tastes for the area. Eh!

I chose spinach as my side, I could have chosen eggplant or roasted potatoes.

Went here for lunch because it was recommended by a co-worker. Was not disappointed! Food was delish. Place was immaculate. People were friendly and helpful. Coworker said, "Get extra white sauce, it's delicious you will want to drink it on its own!" Well not sure of drinking it by itself but it was delicious! The hot sauce will make your nose run. Both come on the side so you can use as much or as little as you like.

Food is fresh and delicious. Service is great. Folks are very friendly and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is casual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Goid music on the background.

Food: definitely a go-to when it comes to kabob take out. They have mango lassi which is always extra points for me. I love their lamb and ground beef combo but their chicken kabob is also great. The quality of meats is consistent, juicy, and well seasoned, making it a great place to be a regular at. The rice has a slight sweetness (maybe a raisin was added while cooking?), which I find compliments the kabobs nicely. Service: order at register and pick up the tray when it's ready. Ambiance: I don't really recommend dining in if you're looking for a pretty place to eat and get pampered at.

    Delicious fresh wheat bread.

Oh My! That manti is to die for. Also, the vegetarian platter is delicious and I'm not even a vegetarian. It's fullfilling. All the dishes taste like homecooking as if someone really cares about them. This is my second visit and will be plenty more to come.

Got a combo of chicken kabob and shami kabob along with a side of their borani banjan/eggplant dish. The eggplant was honestly one of my favorite things- it's a must get in my opinion. Homey dish with incredible flavors! Their naan is fresh and pairs well with it. The chicken was good, but I've had better honestly. The shami was a little disappointing as I expected more flavor and it was slightly dry, but good. Their rice was so tasty and I loved the sweetness coming from the carrots an raisins. Of course, the sheeryakh was great- quite a big portion for one person, but I loved the texture. It tastes very similar to the Indian/South Asian/Pakistani ice cream, "Kulfi." CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK: Service needs improvement. The whole time I was there I had to keep looking for waiters to make eye contact with to ask for menu, water, paying, etc. It took about 10 min or more for me to have to call a busy waiter over just to look at the menu- no one came over on their own. Things just took time for a Saturday night- plus they were hosting an event on top of this. Needless to say, I've never had service like this, but the vibe and food made me be not as harsh. Despite the service, this place is a must try for authentic Afghan cuisine. Can't wait to try more of their menu (and the borani banjan again) in the future!

We were also a party of five but were only given one menu to share so not very convenient. I ordered the Chicken & Shami Kabob and it came with a choice of white or brown rice, one side, and naan. The meal looked nothing like the photo on the restaurant's website. The portion was overwhelmingly rice with very little meat. None of the garnishes shown in the picture were included on the rice. For $24 I expected a much better presentation and a more balanced portion. Oh and the meat was kind of dry. Parts of our order were missing, some dishes that came out were incorrect. The experience felt disorganized and the food didn't justify the price.

Taste of Istanbul was a delightful experience. I ordered the combination kebab platter to sample a bit of everything, and not a single item disappointed. The real standout was the chicken, it was cooked to perfection, incredibly juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Even the rice exceeded expectations, as it was well-seasoned and genuinely delicious rather than just a side dish. The service was attentive, with the staff offering thoughtful recommendations and ensuring we had everything we asked for. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, and the outdoor seating makes it an especially enjoyable spot when the weather is nice. The mixed mezze platter was another highlight, offering generous portions that were easily enough to share among a few friends. The bread was fresh, warm, and crisp. It's also worth noting that they're open until midnight on Sundays, making Taste of Istanbul a fantastic option for a satisfying late-night meal.

The only thing I didn't like is the Soda that supposed to be from Turkey. The version of the Coke that was $3 for little bottle was not that appealling. The Lamb Shish Kabob 5/5 $ 24- Omg so good serve with rice and pickle vegetable, also come with flat bread if you want. The Lamb was cook perfectly and full of flavor, the rice was mix with some sort of grain that was a interesting texture but good. I would come back even know the price is above normal what I pay for lunch, but the food is good.

The puri arrived hot and perfectly puffed--golden, light, and crunchy on the outside, yet soft enough to soak up every bit of flavor. Then came the Punjabi murg chole, and that's where the magic really happened. The chicken was tender and deeply seasoned, not overpowering, but rich with warmth and spice. Paired with the chickpeas, it created a hearty, comforting balance--earthy, savory, and incredibly satisfying. We all know halwa puri with chole is a classic. It's nostalgic, it's comforting, it's expected. But adding Punjabi-style chicken into the mix? That took the entire experience to another level. The chicken didn't compete with the chole--it elevated it. Every bite with puri felt intentional, layered, and indulgent. This wasn't just breakfast or brunch--it was a vibe. A bold twist on tradition that felt rooted yet exciting. If halwa puri is comfort food, then halwa puri with Punjabi murg chole is comfort food that decided to show up dressed sharp and confident. A combination I didn't know I needed--but now won't forget.

I was really craving baba ganoush but unfortunately they didn't have any eggplant based dip. We ordered the red pepper dip and the meat shindig. Red pepper dip - came with warm pita and was pretty good. A mix of savory and sweet from the pomegranate. Shindig - came with trumpet mushrooms, steak, lamb-beef kubideh and chicken. The proteins were all cooked well but unfortunately under flavored making the use of the sauces a necessity. I also wish there was more pita. The rice, although a beautiful vibrant value, lacked the aroma and flavor of rice from the Mediterranean. This dish was not a good value for what it contained. Further, the inside of the restaurant is suffering from the effects of wear and tear. Both bathrooms were out of order. This lack of care is incongruous with the intended vibe of the restaurant. I don't think I will be making a return visit.
