I came in on a Saturday early evening. I ordered the lamb platter to go. The naan was a bit hard and the salad was not the freshest. The lamb and the rice were ok. The lamb is grounded with seemingly some type of filler. So it wasn't the lamb that I'm used to that comes on the gyro. Just average food overall. The 2 sauces that came with it were not my favorites. One was red and tasted like a mild hot sauce and the other was green for the salad. Why could I not get tzatziki sauce? I was a bit disappointed that there was none in the bag. I wouldn't think I'd have to ask since I ordered lamb. Yes, Yes, Yes! I recently decided to become a vegetarian, so I have been seeking out vegetarian foods and restaurants in the area and this place did not disappoint. A Happy Accident! A friend and I wanted to meet halfway between our homes and we chose this restaurant. We were the first Customers of the day, and both our meals were delicious and well-plated with very fresh food. The portions were ample, perhaps even generous. We ate inside, and although the interior is a bit spartan, it was nonetheless comfortable. Since tipping for service was not an issue, we both agreed that we had received great value for our spend. This used to be my favorite restaurant back in 2017 but I'm truly disappointed because of how they changed overtime. After a few months of starting their business, they were serving beef Koobideh that weren't fresh because you could get that sour ish musty smell. I have complained to the manager twice and they just said "sorry, next time we will take care of you." But that next time never came because they forget what they tell you. Also, I don't expect discounts on my food, I just expect good food. Then, they reduced their rice portion from entrees significantly but increased the price instead. After a few months, they stopped serving the salad they used to, which was my absolute favorite because of the vinaigrette dressing they used. Instead, they started serving a precut dry salad with no dressing that never tasted fresh. I still didn't write a negative review because I thought they were going through a transition and will go back to how they were at the beginning of 2017. Then there were multiple times when my wings were undercooked or burnt, they even charged me for 2 wings one time but didn't pack 2 orders, instead packed 1 and denied that they made a mistake. Finally, I just got my iftar from here 3 days ago when I realized they don't give you two skewers of chicken Koobideh anymore, instead it's just 1 skewer but 3-4 inches longer, not thicker though as you can compare from the pictures. When I asked the cashier, she said they add more meat to 1 skewer and it's really thick and long enough to make it the same portion as 2 skewers. I posted the picture here and you can decide if I've been lied to or not. I ordered the shawarma as well and they gave me a lighter portion but charged me for the regular portion. The meat for the shawarma was so dry that it was hard to swallow. The wings were great which is why I added the second star here but nothing else was up to the mark. I believe this is not professional at all that they charge you more money than before and give you such poor quality of food and service. I truly request the management to change their service and food quality or else my friends and family cannot order every weekend to support this local business. For $13.99 you get about 6 chunks of lamb (minus the kakbob skewer) a side salad and choice of various rices. I chose the vegetable rice. Ordered the lamb medium. It was well cooked and a tad on the spicy side which to me is perfectly fine. Heads up I guess if you get it ordered "hot". The salad was fresh with a variety of vegetables mixed in. You have choices of sauces for your meal, but nothing necessarily for the salad except the "green." The rice was pretty full with a nice flavor. The lamb, cooked well, had quite a bit of fat on it. They provide a Halal friendly menu that includes gluten free dishes which are egg and nut free. I have been here a few times now and I really love it. The flavor of the food is consistently delicious. Whether you are in the mood for Fish, Chicken, Beef or Lamb they satisfy your craving with delicious foods skillfully prepared in a clay oven, the Tandoor or over the open-fire grill. Couple of my personal favorite dishes from here are Chicken Tikka Kabobs made of boneless chicken pieces marinated with yogurt, garlic, ginger and spices/seasonings, served with Vegetable Pulao Rice. And the other favorite thing is the Lamb Kabobs made of boneless Lamb pieces cooked in Tandoor with spices/seasonings, served with Saffron Rice. The food is so good, it is so tender and juicy meats. I think the prices might be a TAD higher than entrees from some other places, but you get a lot of food for your money. The service is also pretty quick. The manager noticed that my coworker and I had been there before and came over to check on our food. He honestly cared about our answer and even after we told him we were totally satisfied, he let us know that if we didn't like something we ordered, he would switch it out. He also gave us some free sampling curries they do for to-go orders. They do have some yummy sauces over the table to well mix into your meal. I liked the one which goes with rice, which is called as Green Sauce, a mint based with yogurt and spices. The other one was a pretty hot sauce, tasted just like mostly Sriracha I guess. The restaurant is very nice and bathrooms are good enough. I like the view into the kitchen, that is not something you get to see at every restaurant. They have free refills with that high tech Coke machine where you can choose between a multiple flavors of your choice. They also have outside seating with covered top area with nice decor. It would be nice in hot and warm weathers. As this place is located in a shopping strip, the parking is ample and free in front and around the restaurant. I stopped by to grab something quick to eat around midday and was not disappointed. I ordered a koobideh kabab wrap and I must say it was quite delicious! It was seasoned well, had a bit of a spicy kick to it but not overwhelmingly so. There was a good amount of sauce in it. The meat was juicy and they definitely do not skimp out on that! My wrap was so full that it eventually ended up falling apart. It was a messy but very tasty meal. There is plenty of seating area, is well lit and decorated, and it seemed pretty clean. My food did take a while to prepare but my server apologized for that as he was handing me my meal and also mentioned "that's how you know it's fresh". I was in town from Texas visiting my daughters. We decided to meet here for lunch because it was close to one of my daughter's job. The woman at the register on 10.25.24 is rude. I beleive her name is Patika(sp). The description for one of the menu items is cut off. My daughter asked what was included in the dish. The woman proneeded to tell her what was included. However, my daughter didn't hear her clearly. There was a guy on the phone in the background and she didn't hear the woman. My daughter asked could she repeat it as she couldn't hear here. Patika's response was "It's what I just said". I responded and said "She couldn't hear you". Her response to me was "Yeah". Then she turns and has a side conversation with the cook. He's looking back at me as Patika speaks with him. Hmmmmm. I should have canceled my order and left at that point. However, I just wanted to try enjoy the time with my girls as opposed to have an exchange with the woman. The food came quickly. However, it was mediocre at best. You cannot order food after 9:30, but you can walk inside. Most restaurants offer all of their services until closing time, and have their staff remain to wrap up after closing, but I guess kabob-ish is just business-ish. Their advertised closing time is perhaps the time employees get to leave. Why i, as a potential customer would care about that, I'm not sure. This place has been on my bookmarked list for the longest time. I eventually went when my buddy suggested this place and how it was really good. I heeded his wisdom since he's particular about his food. I ordered the chicken tikka, and though it had 2 chili peppers, it was only mild. I was pretty content though since I eat small portions. The chicken was tender, and the flavors were good as I always fear a flavorless chicken piece when I get it. The half white and white & saffron rice along with the small side salad helped fill me up. I sampled a little bit of my friend's beef koobideh, and the beef was really tender and yummy. It wasn't salty like some places. The seasoning and flavors were right though. I will definitely give this a try next time. The prices were pretty good as well. The cooking time was a little longer though, but it's because they cook it for you. Service was good as well as there were hardly any customers at this 8 PM ish hour on a Tues. I Stepped inside didnt see a crowd looked over the overhead menu board then, looked over a few yelp reviews and decided to order. Food looked fresh being grilled right behind the glass near the counter. I asked what was the guy grilling and they said Tikka chicken, so i ordered exactly that. #2 comes with 6/7 pieces of grilled red colored tandoori chicken breast. Its red because of the delicious spices. You choose your rice and it comes with salad. You can sit inside/outside seating is plenty. Off to the side near the register you can choose 4 condiments there is also a freestyle drink machine. I was hoping for a taziki sauce but i didnt see any. I believe the green sauce is their specialty its good, a yogurt/mint type sauce it goes well with the chicken. Love them will be back as often as i can. read more

Kabobish is a fast-casual Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Indian restaurant specializing in flame-grilled and tandoor oven-cooked meat kabobs. The restaurant is located in the same building as Jeju Sauna, not far from I-85 exit 104 (Pleasant Hill Rd) and Gwinnett Place Mall. I like this place because it's quick and casual and the meats, which are affordably priced, are quite delicious. Kabobish opened on October 2, 2014. Even though I had this restaurant bookmarked for months, I never got around to trying this place until a Yelp OTP Elite Event on July 19, 2016 (https://www.yelp.com/biz/yelps-taste-of-international-kabobs-kabobish-duluth). At that event, we got to sample several of Kabobish's offerings including hummus, three kinds of rice, chicken tikka, beef koodibeh, spicy chicken koobideh, grilled shrimp, lamb chops, paneer tikka, and homemade milk cream and mango popsicles. Generally, I thought everything I tried was tasty and I've since returned to Kabobish as a regular paying customer. The restaurant has what looks like a Chipotle-style ordering setup. However, you actually have to wait on your order since some meats are skewered and cooked fresh. The wait is worth it. What's neat about the interior is you can watch the chefs grill your meats. A spit, open flame grill, and two tandoor ovens are located behind big glass display windows for your viewing pleasure. Rice, vegetables, and other sides are located on and plated at the ordering line as well. If dining in, orders are plated on disposable plates. If ordering takeout, orders are packaged in disposable boxes. Drinks, condiments/sauces, and disposable silverware are available self-serve at a station next to the register. For drinks, they have a mini Coke Freestyle machine and tea. Sauces include a green sauce (contains dairy), red hot sauce, balsamic vinaigrette dressing, and ranch dressing. The latter two are used for the salads which come with most plates. The restaurant is clean and modern looking with simple design and decor. The interior dining room can seat about 50 and there's an outdoor patio as well which seats about 20. The patio is coverable on all sides which is nice during cold, windy, or inclement weather. The menu features 20 items that include chicken, lamb, beef, gyro meat (lamb/beef combo), salmon, shrimp, and paneer cheese at about $7-14 per plate. The food is halal. Plates come with three choices of rice: dill and lima bean, vegetable pulao (pilaf), and white and saffron. The plates are pretty filling. I recommend #18, the koobideh sampler. Koobideh is an Iranian-style meat kabob. The skewers look like small swords. The meat tastes terrific, particularly the beef variety. Both the beef and chicken have been finely minced and ground, creating a tender, soft, and appetizing texture. The meats have been cooked and seasoned with a variety of ingredients, making them extra flavorful and savory. The cocktail chicken kabobs (#1) weren't bad, though I'm not sure I'd order them again. The koobideh is just that much tastier. The cocktail chicken kabobs are made with minced chicken mixed with herbs and spices. Our pieces fell apart easily. I think all three rice options are good and don't really recommend one over another. Though Kabobish's rice varieties aren't among the tastiest I've had, they're still solid and can be addictive. Along with meat and rice, kabob plates come with a small side salad made of iceberg lettuce and chopped cucumber and tomato plus raw white onion and lime wedges. I will say that I didn't like how they only serve foundation drinks, as I don't drink sodas or juices with high fructose corn syrup inside. There's a dining room with plasma tv's so you can sit and enjoy your food. The place was clean an employee was sweeping when we came in. Now to the food You order at the Counter and they give you a buzzer when your food is ready you go pick it up at the counter. So I ordered the chix tikka sampler with saffron rice and my fiancé ordered the Jamaican jerk chix with saffron rice I also got a side of hummus. Or food was made to order the grill meat right there in the front! Soooooo good nothing beats meat fresh of the grill seasoned to perfection. The jerk chix is spicy so if that's not your thing don't do it or do it might change your life. Everything came out hot n fresh with rice, two types of salad and your meat. I gave it 5 stars due to the following: Location: it is right besides JeJu spa on Pleasant Hill, outside of Gwinnett Place Mall. Very convenient for us, since we live down the street. Service: the minute we stepped into the restaurant we were greeted by the manager. Since it was our first time there, he went above and beyond to give us samples and make sure we were satisfied. He gave us a plate of 4 different meats and 4 different rices because we were indecisive of what we wanted for lunch. He also gave me an ice cream after lunch as dessert. We also had a couple of sample pieces of hot wings. Super friendly and great service to new customers. Food: You have to order your food at the counter and they will give you a pager. The pager will buzz when your food is ready for pick up. It took a little bit because they make everything to order. At least you know you're not eating old food that has been sitting out all day. The food were all delicious! I had the grilled beef shish and my bf ordered the sample plate, which came with a strip of chicken and beef. I love the sauce that they have next to the drink fountain. We tried all 5 sauces, but I like the spicy one the best. Make sure to get the mango Popsicle! It was Omgosh so goooddddd!!! Price: the prices were cheap! My beef shish dish with a salad was only $9.99 and my bf's sample dish was roughly around the same price - can't remember exactly how much. Cleanliness: I like that the manager was walking around cleaning up after people left to make sure that everything is nice and clean for the next mass of customers. The restroom was also clean. A total plus! Good job guys! Seating: they have ample of seating inside and out. Since today was so nice, we sat outside. Overall, I would definitely go back to this place for some good Indian cuisine. Service, food, and prices were all great. One of my favorite new places for lunch. read more
