Moderately priced and oh so good. I wonder if they cater???? My man ordered beef Kabobs. It came with rice, hummus and cucumber salad. He loves it. I literally watched my man lick the plate!! I ordered a Greek salad with chicken and without turnips and olives. I know right, it's not exactly a Greek salad without olives but what can I say..... iHate olives. Anyhow, the chicken was so tender and Juicy. I should have ordered a second kabob because it came with only three prices of chicken. My boyfriend ate one piece so I was left wanting more. Weekday. Lunch time. Miracle Mile across from LACMA. A line of food trucks with sushi, burgers, mac and cheese, tacos and kabobs. I was warned that these taco trucks, despite their convenience, were not cheap and I found that to be true. $9-12 and you have to eat standing or perched on a piece of available concrete. With that in mind, I wanted something that didn't require a table to eat it. I wanted the Lavash Wrap with falafel but, given my messy concerns, was told that it isn't actually a wrap, it's more like a taco with the filling piled high on top. So I ordered a falafel burrito. It came in a plastic container with a couple of small salads which were fine. The burrito though was so dry that I could barely swallow it. There was some sauce in it but it was all at one end. I thought they would have given me something to dip into but there was nothing! I love falafel and eat it out at every given opportunity so I can safely say this was far from the best. Just ordered a lulu kabob plate, opened the box, and got back the 3 tiniest kabob pieces that I've ever seen . I looked back at the picture of the plate on the side of the truck, and indeed, the kababs are exactly the size that you see, but in the picture of the dish there is a piece of pita that covers the bottom portion of the 3 kababs, giving you the illusion that the kababs are much longer pieces, only tucked under the pita. So I consider that picture to be intentionally deceptive. Food was ok, a bit salty. But $12 for such tiny meat proportions and a drink is way too much to pay for the food truck experience, particularly on the heels of the deceptive imagery. read more

First off, the food was actually good. I made a lunch stop at this truck while it was parked at Grand Park and ordered the gyro. The gyro cost $8.00, and it came with a generous amount of meat, a cucumber side salad, and some pickled vegetables. The gyro was tasty, and I felt that it was worth the $8. I knocked the stars off due to the wait time. The truck was understaffed for the lunch service, and I ended up waiting 30 minutes to get my food. That is a really long time to wait when it comes to food truck lunch service. I'd be willing to eat at this truck again, I just hope the wait time improves. read more

Pleasantly Surprised! On my way home from my spray tan yesterday I saw these guys parked on my street. We ordered the Beef Gyro plate ($12) and the Chicken Shawarma plate ($9). Both came with a generous portion of basmati rice, cucumber salad, hummus and pita bread. We enjoyed our dinner and were impressed with the big portions. read more

Normally when I do a review I post it to the Twitter wall of the truck I'm reviewing. I'd love to do that here but it appears this truck has no web presence. Well they are new! But judging by their food and service, they're going to be around for a while. I caught this big blue truck for lunch in El Segundo and i have to tell you, I was surprised! Their food is way better than I expected. They were fast and friendly, I could find nothing wrong here. I tried the Lavash Wrap and what a great choice that was. Filled with Shwarma meat, rice, hummous and some vegetables this wrap has a spicy kick that just won me over. I'll caution you on this one, if you're not one for hot & spicy food, ask the guy at the window for a recommendation because this wrap is not for the faint of heart. I was walking around work after lunch with a full on forehead sweat going on! Good one guys, I will say this, as good as this food is, i didn't go 5 stars because there really wasn't anything innovative here, just very good quality Middle Eastern food. From that standpoint... Flavorwise doesn't stand out (I've had better) but it's decent enough to fill up a hungry belly. Just had the falafel plate and the food is horrible. The falafels were soggy, the hummus sour, the rice tasted like it's been made 2 days ago and the cucumber & tomato salad was soft, warm and tasteless. Also came with some pita slices which I was hoping they might at least be decent but they were cold and tasted almost like uncooked dough. My mom had the chicken shawarma plate and her's was just as bad. I have no idea how these people are able to stay in business. No wonder there weren't any customers. I will definitely be avoiding this truck in the future, don't want to throw away my money. read more

I got the chicken shawarma plate. I didn't think the chicken flavoring was very good, and it wasn't much like other shawarmas I've had. The pita and hummus were great, but chicken is supposed to be the centerpiece of this dish, so I wasn't impressed. read more

Kabob Kings truck is one of the best Mediterranean food I ever tasted. I tried the shawrama and the lula kabob and they were delicious. I received great service everyone was very helpful if I had a question about a certain item. I recommend it you must try this truck! They are usually in front of the LACMA museum. read more

Not worth the price honestly, I got the gyro sandwhich, 6.50, but barely had any gyro meat inside. The taste wasn't anything special. If they are reading this, I advise them to put more meat in their sandwhiches, and also include the tzatziki sauce INSIDE the sandwhich (the way it is made traditionally) and leave the hummus on the side. read more

This food truck was very delicious! I would definitely go back if I ran into them again. I had the chicken kabob wrap and the whole plate was good. From the cucumber & tomato side, pickled onions (I think it was) to the actual chicken kabob wrap, it was simply delicious. The pita was great, the chicken was juicy, and on top of that, the people working the truck are extremely nice. It's also one of those food trucks where they don't hold back on the portions. I know how food trucks can be on the pricy side with little to offer, but this truck is of the exception. Worth my $8. read more

These guys were very accommodating and subbed rice for the pita I did not want. The falafel has a bit of heat to it and the rice is nicely flavored, not overwhelmingly spiced. Service was quick and efficient. Prices were moderate for an L.A. food truck, not out-of-line. I paid cash, but I'd think they accept cards as well.... read more

The falafel plate was disappointing. Too much salt not enough flavor. The rice tasted like it was made in a microwave. Salad was not fresh.

Pretty pissed that I wasted my lunch on the gyro platter from Kabob Kings. The meat was burnt to a crisp and dry. There were pieces that were literally too hard to eat that I had to throw out. Not pleased Kabob Kings. You need to step your game up. Probably the worst gyro I've ever had. Hope you all get it together. read more

They did not open on time. Then when asked how long it would be until they would open, it took twice as long as they said. When the food finally arrived, it was such a tiny portion that I now have to go find somewhere else to get additional food. I ended up waiting 25 minutes for a meal that was insufficient. I would give them negative stars if I could! I ordered a falafel pita. They handed me folded over pita with 3 falafels, lettuce, tons of red onion and some chopped tomato. There was a red onion, tomato and lettuce salad in one cubby and another couple of lettuce leaves and something red I could not identify in the other. No hummus, no yogurt or another other kind of sauce. The pita was dry! As if this wasn't bad enough, what was there was basically inedible. The red onion over powered the other ingredients (and I like red onion), the salad had an unappetizing dressing with a bitter after taste, etc. The most unsatisfying meal I've eaten in over 5 years! I paid $8 plus $2 tip for what ended up tossed into the garbage. I'd say that the chef need to work on learning how to be a chef. It's not about putting a bunch of stuff on a plate and calling it a meal, it's about cooking something people want to eat once, twice, three times.... In case there is more than one truck, this one was parked across from LACMA. read more
