The prices are very reasonable and the best dish is the marinated steak pieces. The chicken is great too but steak is a favorite, and very flavorful. The basmati rice with saffron and sour cherries also a favorite. For dessert, love the Saffron and Rosewater flavored ice cream. It's very refreshing and not heavy. As for the service, very good and attentive staff. Ambience is nice.

If you are looking for authentic and delicious Persian food, you must try this place! We ordered the Kashke Bademjan as an appetizer and the Ash Reshteh Soup and chicken Breast kabob as our entrees. Everything was absolutely delicious, especially their Ash soup. Currently researching the recipe to make myself because it was that good!! Lol Not sure if it's a family run restaurant but it definitely felt like it. Service was welcoming and attentive. 5 stars! This location is right off palisades avenue and street parking is available. Another top restaurant to put on our list.

I was excited to try Kabob On the Cliff out for lunch after finding there was a Persian place nearby. Maybe it was because it was delivery, but I wasn't as impressed. I ordered the falafel, hummus, shirazi salad, beef kabob pita, and gheimeh bademjan stew. The falafel came warm and crunchy and the hummus was nicely seasoned. I asked for Persian flatbread for both orders, since they each came with accompanying bread, but got one order flatbread and one pita. The shirazi salad came with a separate lemony vinaigrette, but it didn't save the salad from being disappointingly bland. The beef in both the kabob sandwich and the stew were sadly dry. The gheimeh was pungent and slightly tart, which came from the lime, and the split peas were perfectly cooked. The fried eggplant on top was tender as well. My other complaint is the mismatch between the online menu and the delivery menu. I wasn't able to order on the phone, as when I called they directed me to place it on a delivery service, but there were no lunch special options available on Grubhub. Some menu items don't appear on the delivery menu as well. Overall, it was a hit or miss depending on the items. Not sure if the experience would be different in person.

Saw people recommend this place on the Facebook group and I decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint. The chicken kebob that I ordered is tasty and flavorful, it's chicken breast meat but it doesn't taste dry at all. The rice, bread and side salad are also very good. I didn't give 5 stars because I ordered 2 extra tomatoes but they didn't give them to me and I didn't find out until I were already home. Fortunately, the extra tomatoes is only 75 cents each, so it doesn't hurt too much! Will return again!

This Persian restaurant was amazing. We tried their Barley Soup which was so good, we had to buy one to take home!!! The Persian salad was very good. My only complaint about it was it needed more dressing. The balsamic mix glaze wasn't enough for me since I need dressing on every leaf; if I'm eating more dry greens than moist... it's too dry for me. I would have asked for more dressing on the side. The Kabob combo for 2 was delicious. We got lamb Koobideh but looking back we would have gotten beef since the platter already comes with lamb (which was the best part of the platter). The chicken skewer was good but was probably my least favorite item on my table. The rice was on point! I hate rice but this basmati rice which is topped with saffron is A1. Finally we decided to get the Iranian Ice cream & it was sooo refreshing!! I could taste the rose in it and the saffron gave it a great taste. Would definitely come back here or order out when we are in the mood for some Middle Eastern food. I didn't see pork on menu so place might be a good place for those seeing more Kosher like restaurants. The waitress was polite and helpful. She helped answer any questions i had and always kept her mask on when we sat in. A Must Go to Restaurant!!

Amazing Persian restaurant. Good service and food at a mostly reasonable price. Could have more variety and more specials, but the main courses are authentic and taste fresh. Recommend to any Middle Eastern food lovers. The hostess Ati she's adorable and very nice and kind.

Best Persian around town. No fuss, cozy, local restaurant. I go almost every week and food is consistent for the most part. I've tried a few different dishes and the bread they give you is crack! You should get one of their dips to go with it. Street parking is right around the corner. They have delivery but I suggest eating there.

The Cofte kabob is juicy and amazing. Rice is devious. Chiken was good. The chunks were ok. Good spot for authentic Persian food.

Was also impressed by the roasted cauliflower, the flavor was incredible with the pickled vegetables, shallot yogurt, and tomato & chili glaze. Sofreh bread was also delicious with the cauliflower. Jewel rice was also delicious, think I would prefer the saffron rice next time as the candid orange was a bit overpowering for me. Lamb shank was delicious, but the star of the show was definitely the pomegranate beef ribeye. Insanely juicy and flavorful. Loved the roasted tomatoes and grilled onions (had a nice acidity to them), and the pomegranate pieces were the perfect complement to the ribeye. I would skip the persian rosewater sorbet as it was incredibly limey and tough to finish due to how acidic it was. The cardamom rose cake was moist and unique though! I also really liked the persian black tea and the ghand. I liked their downstairs bathroom more as they have footage playing on the projector. Service was really lovely and warm from all the staff here, we got an extra cup of tea on the house when we ordered just one cup. Thank you for the delicious meal and wonderful hospitality!

We had to keep ordering bread to make sure we finished every last drop of sauce in each plate (and the bread is fantastic too). Cocktails are very good as well and not badly priced. The price-to-quality ratio has me planning my next visit!

It disappeared within 4 bites. Maybe that's a good thing? The kashke bademjan (eggplant, $23) is smothered in yogurt and other toppings. Would say this is more worth than the carrot, on a flavor per bite basis. I would hardskip the potato tahdig ($18). Convince me that this is something more than an enlarged hashbrown with fancier ketchup. The baseline was on a dollar menu. This evokes the "this is chicken nuggets" meme after someone prepared a "breaded chicken piccata." The kabob koobideh ($25) comes with 7 small cubes of beef/brisket, and some rice. Can you taste or experience the wagyu? What are we doing here? You receive 1 bone marrow and 4 pieces of angus short rib with the ghormeh sabzi ($48). Good, yes. Worth it? Questionable. Overall, delicious, but I'm biased toward Persian food and feel like it has a high floor. I don't think Eyval stood out compared to lower-priced Persian options, which made me feel like the visit wasn't justified.

The staff is so friendly and so many persians were there, I was quite pleased at that! You don't typically walk into any restaurant in Chelsea/Flatiron and find that half the people or more in the restaurant are of that culture (unless we're talking cheeseburgers or wings here). Their wine list is extensive and interesting. They don't have everything on it, but that's okay, we had a fun Artadi wine from Spain - a winery we've been to, which was what I was going for on the list. The cocktails didn't speak to me, but that's okay, persian cocktails can be great or confused. These seemed more on the confused side. The fresh herbs were served as an app, and they were great. Just like my grandma always has on her table. The feta stuffed dates were fantastic, again a nice treat that reminds me of something my grandma might serve me. The labne was stellar with pita bread, and the kashk e bademjan was really good, though not like any I've made before. But that dish can be wildly different anywhere you go. I asked for Tahdig and got some, but I got ghormeh sabzi dolloped on my tahdig which was interesting - like ghormeh sabzi nachos. I do wish the ghormeh sabzi was better. However I may just be extremely partial to our own ghormeh sabzi at home. The cornish game hen kabas were out of this world! sooooo juicy! Definitely worth a visit - you'll enjoy it - but I don't know if tahdig and ghormeh sabzi here are the way to go.
