Came here for lunch. It was about $18 (after tax) for gyro meat, rice and some salad. Service: considering I didn't stay to eat, it was good enough. Took about 10 minutes to make my food. Ambience: some people had lunch inside. The place isn't big, but there was plenty of space. It looks like you may get more food when dinning in. What I liked: the rice. It was well flavored and perfectly cooked. What I liked less: the gyro meat. It tasted like it was mixed with stuff, probably gluten. The salad was also on the plain side although I liked that they shredded some pickles into it. Overall, not bad but if I come back I will probably try something else of the menu. read more

My first review ever. And only because I truly can't believe this place . Every time I say never again, they keep reminding me. Here's the deal. And I truly can't understand it. Everytime I order, they conveniently forget something. And I Just can't understand it. Either they forget the Pita, or the sauce , or the rice or The actual meal. This time I ordered two Kubidas. and I ordered extra bread with the humas knowing they would forget the pito as in the past! Grant it , this meal cost me over 70$ with uber eats. My bad. this time they decided to exlude the rice. When I called it asked why , the ladies answer was because I ordered extra bread so they assumed I didn't want rice.! I mean , seriously? Our food arrived hot and freshly prepared with a minimal wait. Kashk-e-badamjon tasted wonderful with just the right amount of kashk and mint atop the eggplant mixture. My moist, juicy chicken breast kabob arrived on a bed of specialty rice, zeresh polo. The zeresh berries could've used some sweetener to accentuate the sharp tangy flavor and meld it more with the rice. My husband's kubideh kabob made with lamb hit the spot for him. We topped off the meal with excellently flavored Persian ice cream. The dining area looked clean and neatly set. However, the whole area smelled musty. They really need to freshen the air there! The prices are very reasonable and the best dish is the marinated steak pieces. The chicken is great too but steak is a favorite, and very flavorful. The basmati rice with saffron and sour cherries also a favorite. For dessert, love the Saffron and Rosewater flavored ice cream. It's very refreshing and not heavy. Everything was absolutely delicious, especially their Ash soup. Currently researching the recipe to make myself because it was that good!! I was excited to try Kabob On the Cliff out for lunch after finding there was a Persian place nearby. Maybe it was because it was delivery, but I wasn't as impressed. I ordered the falafel, hummus, shirazi salad, beef kabob pita, and gheimeh bademjan stew. The falafel came warm and crunchy and the hummus was nicely seasoned. I asked for Persian flatbread for both orders, since they each came with accompanying bread, but got one order flatbread and one pita. The shirazi salad came with a separate lemony vinaigrette, but it didn't save the salad from being disappointingly bland. The beef in both the kabob sandwich and the stew were sadly dry. The gheimeh was pungent and slightly tart, which came from the lime, and the split peas were perfectly cooked. The fried eggplant on top was tender as well. My other complaint is the mismatch between the online menu and the delivery menu. I wasn't able to order on the phone, as when I called they directed me to place it on a delivery service, but there were no lunch special options available on Grubhub. Some menu items don't appear on the delivery menu as well. Overall, it was a hit or miss depending on the items. Not sure if the experience would be different in person. read more

Saw people recommend this place on the Facebook group and I decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint. The chicken kebob that I ordered is tasty and flavorful, it's chicken breast meat but it doesn't taste dry at all. The rice, bread and side salad are also very good. I didn't give 5 stars because I ordered 2 extra tomatoes but they didn't give them to me and I didn't find out until I were already home. Fortunately, the extra tomatoes is only 75 cents each, so it doesn't hurt too much! Will return again! read more

This Persian restaurant was amazing. We tried their Barley Soup which was so good, we had to buy one to take home!!! The Persian salad was very good. My only complaint about it was it needed more dressing. The balsamic mix glaze wasn't enough for me since I need dressing on every leaf; if I'm eating more dry greens than moist... it's too dry for me. I would have asked for more dressing on the side. The Kabob combo for 2 was delicious. We got lamb Koobideh but looking back we would have gotten beef since the platter already comes with lamb (which was the best part of the platter). The chicken skewer was good but was probably my least favorite item on my table. The rice was on point! I hate rice but this basmati rice which is topped with saffron is A1. Finally we decided to get the Iranian Ice cream & it was sooo refreshing!! I could taste the rose in it and the saffron gave it a great taste. Would definitely come back here or order out when we are in the mood for some Middle Eastern food. I didn't see pork on menu so place might be a good place for those seeing more Kosher like restaurants. The waitress was polite and helpful. Best Persian around town. No fuss, cozy, local restaurant. I go almost every week and food is consistent for the most part. I've tried a few different dishes and the bread they give you is crack! You should get one of their dips to go with it. Street parking is right around the corner. They have delivery but I suggest eating there. read more

I was there for lunch! $10 sandwich and drink! I live walking distance from this place, i rarely go there. After having lunch here now I want to come back more often. I took the sandwich to go, the server was nice smiling all the time , the atmosphere is ok. I think some Persian music would be nice. Now the food. I got the first item from the list. Its like Persian style kebob. It comes with hot sauce and white sauce like the halal guys do in the city. The hot sauce is amazing. They had more sauce in the sandwich too. They gave me a option of whole wheat or white wrap. I got whole wheat. I like that they have the red seasoning on the table if you want to put more its called summak in Middle east. More than terrible service. The waiter is incredibly rude and disrespectful and with no manners. When asked a question about the menu he is like about fight with you for asking a question!! One of the workers, sneezed in the middle of the dining room with NO MASK!! He (the waiter) said to him don't worry about it, it's fine!! When I said, no it's not fine can you please open the door; he turned to the worker and said: don't worry about it and he ignored me!! I called the owner and spoke to his son about the incidents, he was receptive and apologized, but the waiter continued being rude and disrespectful. We eat in this restaurant for years never seen a waiter like the one they have now. The food is good and the owner is a good person. I tried this place because of its 4-star review on Yelp. Now I am seriously doubting whether all these reviews are real. I ordered chicken kebab and lamb kebab, which comes with salad and rice. When I ordered, the host told me it would take 30 minutes. To my surprise, the food was ready after 15 minutes. Not bad, right? Well, little did I know the horror was about to start! I went home and quickly realized the rice portion was so small that the rice only covered the bottom of the container. Onto the meat, they were so dry that I had a hard time believing they were freshly cooked. The salad was unbelievably stale!! The first red flag was that they came directly from the fridge in containers. To top it all off, the host told me to use the lemon dressing for their salad. I felt so ripped off and upset about my experience here. If you live in the area, there are better Turkish restaurants nearby. Please avoid this one at all cost. read more

Had lunch here. The service is EXCELLENT! The decoration is clean but hideous, i came without my significant other, she would not like the looks and probably would not go in. Lunch special Kabob was very good, served with a roasted tomato and flavorless rice. Not a bad dish, not great. I ordered a diced salad with Cuke, tomato, onion & pepper. Went here on weekday around dinner time. It's a medium-sized space, and a few tables were taken with diners. However, there was some weird smell around the restaurant, can't say what exactly but it was unpleasant. I ordered the chicken breast kabob (see pic) which comes with rice, salad and a roasted tomato piece. The salad was pre-made and stored in containers in the fridge, so they just put one in your to-go order. Even though it was premade, it did taste somewhat fresh. The rice was a bit stale and I would have preferred a little more flavor to it, instead of just plain old white stale rice. The chicken breast pieces (cubes) were cooked well yet soft and had a nice taste. They also gave a bread piece, which was soft and went great with the white sauce they give. The chicken, white sauce and bread were good. The salad was okay. Rice was bad. The ambience of the restaurant was okay, but the weird smell made me decide to take my food to-go. Honestly the owner is driven by greed behind closed doors. Constantly holding the worker's hard earned week pay. Don't even get me started on how overworked his workers are and getting paid jacksh.t because the workers aren't from the states. You know, I used to love this place. But, now .. I can't even get through the ordering process with this cashier/hostess who takes the orders over the phone and works the front. She seems utterly clueless when I try to order simple menu items that are listed in the menu right infront of her eyes. I spell out what I want very concisely and she doesn't seem to comprehend my request for a menu item, often responding to me with "so you want (insert menu item that I didn't just say)". It started when I ordered a combo kebab platter that came with chicken, a choice of lamb or beef, and koobideh, i told her "i don't want lamb, I want beef as the choice" she didn't seem to understand that the menu listed a choice between beef or lamb and just ended up giving me lamb. Then when I went to pick up she tried to pin it on me as if I made a mistake. I got so pissed I just left. She seems like a nice enough person, but jeeze, I don't think she should be working here lol. I gave it another shot just now before and it was a whole problem all over again fumbling my order right on the phone and not understanding that there's an item on the menu, and giving me a choice back that I literally didn't say. I asked to speak to another person there respectfully so I can get this order ready as I am working, and they just hung up on me lol. NICEEEE! I have been a customer for many years (2012) and order at least 3 to 4 times a week from here. But the last year or so the waitress that takes your order has increasingly gotten ruder over the past year. This last experience made me reconsider giving them my business. If the business owner sees this please speak with the hostess about customer service. I would hate for you to lose a customer.
