Bertín Beyti Special Pide We asked for no mushrooms and they were able to accommodate! Sooooooo delicious!!!!!
Patricia A.

The Beyti special Pide was so delicious. The Turkish fruit canned juices were great! Hummus was tasty with the warm bread! The Beyti mixed grill was delicious with a variety of meats. The service was great too MUST TRY! WILL RETURN!

I came here for dinner with my brother. The restaurant inside is one big open area with tables, no dividers, no privacy, and it's cold in there so dress warmly. If you're a couple and looking for a romantic restaurant, it is NOT for you. The service was courteous but very disorganized. They forgot some things we ordered and charged us for things we didn't order (of course, not on purpose). Also, parking was a challenge. You have to find parking on the street and it's a busy area. However, the food was delicious. I ordered the sea Mediterranean Sea Bass and my brother ordered the Mixed Grill. The sea bass was a whole fish (with the head) and had lots of bones. I was disappointed with that because I spent half my meal taking the bones out. The portions were generous. If I had to come here again, I would order takeout.

Nice decor and warm feeling

New location just next door to the old one,i loved new place more ,cozzy, warm and authentic feeling..same good quality food and lovely experience, highly recomended...service was so friendly i tried adana and i can say it was like the same one i tried many years ago in original city of adana.

I used to go to Beyti years ago, but their selection of food was better. THe place is nice, remodeled, redecorated and it looks elegant. Service was great, but I wish they had more selection of food and beverages as well. I went with my dad and he was having a hard time with the orange soda they offered. It was good, food was good, place was clean and nice. I'd like to come back one day. My best friend in Oregon loves Beyti, hopefully we can go and eat some good food :).

Food is ok. Didn't really enjoy it. Very dry and expensive for the quality. Place looks beautiful and the service is good.

Kunefe. A dessert that must be eaten at least 100 times in a lifetime? Perhaps.

I have been here several times and always love it. The atmosphere is unbelievably comfortable, thanks to the large space and soft seats. Especially like the couch the most. Sometimes they will bring out this huge puffy bread, I think it depends what you order. What I recommend the most from my visits are the Mediterranean salad (you will get very full on the large), and the kunefe, one of the best desserts ever invented, which is shredded wheat, stuffed with gooey cheese and doused in honey (or syrup?). If you get meat, I recommend a lamb dish since to me lamb is always tastier at just about every Mediterranean restaurant. Just my opinion anyway.

Service charge and higher prices without disclosure than on menu. Glad I kept the receipt

Since the beginning of the pandemic , I made it a point to support the small local restaurants in the area . But I will not be ripped off. This place was open but I had to grab a menu from the inside. On the menu , it clearly states 15 percent off dining in . When I pointed this to the waitress , she brushed it off as take out only despite the print saying otherwise. I split one platter , one app(18 dollars for some bread and 6 heaping spoonfuls of babaganoush and hummus) ) 2 sodas, 2 desserts (1 of which was 3 bite size nibbles of store bought baklava) , and 2 thimble size shots of Turkish coffees . Food was typical nothing great. Bill came out to 88.00 . I did the math really quick and figured the total pretax and tip to be 64, which I thought was high to begin with. I pointed this to the waitress and she told me that the pricing for the dine in menu was more than the take out and gratuity was added in the bill and she magnanimously told me I did not need to tip her . Service was for a table of 2 and I was not told before hand that gratuity is added and pricing for dine in was higher. This is usually reserved for large parties and every place I know clearly states this . The waitress did not think of telling us this as we read off the take out menu. And the service ? Besides not acknowledging me at the door in a restaurant with no other diners, she did not check in once to refill our drinks or ask how our food was. So I challenge the owners of this place how they can justify charging gratuity and increased prices without notifying the customer first? Maybe they thought I was a one time tourist who they can scam . No . You messed with a local who thinks nothing of spending 30 dollars a week on shaved ice at Sunshine Ice. You proudly state that you have been in business since 81. Next time I am in a mood for kebab, I will go to Cliffside Park. Update : Submitted to the BBB of both your server not wearing a mask and your dishonest pricing policies . Update . This is my receipt . Note the service charge and higher prices

Burnt pita

I really liked this restaurant. But I ordered delivery last night- chicken sautee (19.99$) . The portion size has always been smaller for the price but this used to be good quality food that justified the price. But not now, they sent me burnt pita bread along with food. Have attached a picture. Very bad food. Hope they improve someday. Chicken sautee was decent - 7/10. The portion sixr is really small though.

What a terrible place placed order on line went to pick up 1 hour later for a girl with a terrible attitude to tell me that not only did they not start it but they were out of three items. Everybody makes a mistake but what a nasty person I truly hope people read this and don't support this local business there are so many other Turkish restaurants in the area thought i would try again after 4 years and a remodel my mistake

Old piece of meat in vegetables

Ooo, I'm definitely disappointed with this place, I was excited to try it after my coworkers have been raving about it. I ordered the Okra dish which was pretty decent, and I got a side of steamed vegetables. I opened the steamed vegetables and immediately I noticed a strange rotten scent so I figured there must have been a spoiled veggie in there somewhere...I'm picking through the vegetables and I find a pretty big piece of old meat (so old I couldn't get my fork to go into it) - to have a piece of meat fall into a steamed dish is rather weird but things happen however, to have an old rotten piece is just repulsive.

BYOB Raki, MIXED COLD APPETIZER SM
Kaan E.

I haven't been to this place for the longest until recently when we decided to go for my best friend's birthday. We paid a fixed price per person (tax and tip included) for live music, main course, mixed appetizer, fruits, and BYOB drinks. The live music was phenomenal and the main course was good too! What I liked about the appetizers was that instead of bringing one per table, everybody got a plate with a mixed variety of appetizers. I would've preferred actual dessert over the fruits, but it is what it is. Definitely would come here again!

I think that negative reviews are from the competitors. This place is off the hook!!! Restaurant is very comfortable, it has high ceiling, full of lights and amazing sound system. A hostess welcomed us right after we entered. Servers are very friendly and welcoming. It was out standing they served salads and appetizers to our plates. Taste is not something basic, all dishes have their unique taste. Plates are very good size. We got a dessert called kunefe is delicious. I bet you may love this place.

Yes, I am a fan and mostly because it is close to home. First, the food was great- I cannot recall if it was authentic but it really was great. Plus, I took home leftovers. The decor is beautiful like brand new aqua lights beautiful. If you're interested, the food and decor is gram worthy.

Really wish I took photos - therefore just like the great convos with the wonderful, extremely personable and educational counter gentlemen - will be coming back real soon with photos Review: Hudson Kebab House isn't just good--it's memorable. I had the gyro wrap, my wife had the chickpea salad with falafel, and both dishes were so on point they brought me right back to my time in Istanbul. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. The wrap was balanced, not greasy, and the falafel had that perfect crisp-to-fluff ratio. But what really stood out? The person behind the counter. Not sure if he's the owner or just part of a family-run operation, but his energy was magnetic. He checked in with us--and with everyone who came through the door--like we were all regulars. Friendly without being overbearing, helpful without the upsell. He made the food taste even better, if that's possible. This spot has soul. It's the kind of place you return to not just because the food is excellent (it is), but because it feels good to be there. I'll be back very soon to try the kebabs, and when I do, expect a full deep dive--possibly with pictures, definitely with passion. 15/10 - must try. Strong BUY, erm, sry, not investing.. STRONGLY RECOMMEND

First time trying yesterday and I was delighted. I got the mix kebab plate and baklava. Tzatziki was full of mint flavor and perfectly complimented the charred meats and buttery rice. Wow, I am bummed that I waited so long to come to NAR. I was talking to a Turkish friend at work…read moreawhile back and he recommended I try this place as we were discussing Turkish restaurants. I added to my list but didn't try it until this week and I was blown away! The restaurant is lovely and has a great vibe (although it is a little loud due to the low ceilings). Service was great reflecting exceptional Turkish hospitality. My friends and I started with small mezzes (all delicious) and zucchini blossoms, which I could have had as a standalone meal. I had the Turkish delight meat dish and that was super. My husband had the beyti and it was the best I've ever had. We all ate way too much and waddled out of there way too full. Prices are about what you'd expect in that part of town and it's worth every penny. I will definitely be back. I recommend that you go here too and am confident you'll find everything is cok guzel!

Super glad I got to try out NAR and I hope it does well, because the food is straight up amazing. I started off with a glass of the Cotes d'Avanos Narince Blend from Turkey and I highly recommend! It's medium bodied and acidic, with mineral, stone fruit, and citrus, and would go really well with seafood. For food, we began with the mezze sampler, which included babaganoush, muhammara, and hummus. This is a great way to start the meal, especially since Nar serves a delicious bread (crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside) as a complementary starter. My favorites were the muhammara, an intense, piquant spread made with roasted red peppers and pomegranate molasses, and the ever-smoky babaganoush, which was served with pomegranates. The hummus was great, too; I just thought it wasn't a standout. -Aegean Style Cherry Vine Leaf Sarma (stuffed vine leaves, cherry yogurt, pine nuts, currants): Delicious. The savory, salty sarma are tasty on their own, but best when lightly sweetened with the cherry yogurt and tart, juicy currants. -Beyti Kebab (hand minced lamb wrapped in lavash, yogurt, confit tomatoes): This was the most flavorful lamb - juicy, smoky, perfectly spiced - I've had in a long time. The lavash (bread) that it was rolled in was also spiced, the yogurt was cooling, and the tomatoes and bell peppers a fresh and flavorful accompaniment. We finished off the meal with ice cream and Turkish coffee. The coffee took a while, so they took it off of our bill, which was a kind gesture. The ice cream was a different experience! It was made with goat milk, so the flavor was distinct, and it was extremely thick. High-quality and fun to try, but just a little too thick for my preferences.

However, this time my craving was so bad I had to cave and resort to my handy dandy Seamless app to fulfill the needs of my stomach and taste buds. My go-to dish is always Iskender Kebab, so that's exactly what I ordered. Though not the same as the one I get in Brooklyn (because let's be real here, nothing will ever compare to a restaurant I've gone to for 15 years), but it was still very good. It was meaty, saucy, and creamy (from the yogurt) just the way it should be. The only downfall of ordering this dish for delivery, and that's not just from Ali Baba's but from anywhere really, is that the bread that's lingering at the bottom of the dish is supposed to be fried and crunchy when eaten, but because of the delivery time, it gets a little soggy. Ali Baba arrived right on time, the food was good, I have no complaints!

Think of a huge falafel stuffed with lamb, served with sauce on a bed of lettuce and tomatoes. If they had an entree of this, I would be so happy. -Lamachun-Turkish style pizza with ground lamb, spices, basil, onions, tomatoes and lemon. Ask for extra spices to make it super yummy. -Iskender Kebab-Lamb kebab with yogurt and pita. My suggestion-ask for rice pilaf instead of pita because they serve the pita under the meat and it gets very soggy. -Lahana Dolmasi (Stuffed Cabbage) with lamb. This is handmade so be prepared to wait awhile but ohhh it's so good! Go during the weekday because this place is packed all the time. You will find Turkish people eating here so you know it's good. If you want straight up Turkish street food go to Patterson which in my opinion has the best lahmacun. I wish they served bulgar rice instead of rice pilaf. I only know of one restaurant that serves bulgar rice and that's in Long Island. Overall, this is def the best Turkish restaurant in Manhattan.

As far as the meal I ordered the lamb chops and it came with the rice with the rice was perfection. It was completely cooked better than any other rice I've had in a long time. I must say the lamb chops I would say was mediocre, but I mean the price is such a good price that it is kind of what it is. I mean one seemed to be overcooked. The other three was edible and tender.
