Very nice, small, restaurant. Steak shawarma was really good. Chicken shawarma needed to be seasoned better. Great falafel. They were out of tabbouleh so I didn't get a chance to try it. They definitely need to work on service. They were very nice, but slow... especially for a place where you are ordering at the counter. I'm guessing it is because they are so new they are still getting used to everything. My major suggesting to them, for your wraps, if you are an authentic middle eastern restaurant, use a middle eastern wrap, as opposed to a tortilla. I will definitely try it again. The owner (I'm assuming he was the owner) was really nice. He asked for feedback on our dinner. Not just, a simple, "how was your meal? We got the kabob wrap and a beef shawarma platter. Both were on the dry side and not very flavorful/juicy. The fattoush "salad" and fries were equally disappointing. Had high hopes for this place, hope their recipes and quality improve since there aren't a ton of halal places in the area. read more

My first time here they were off to a slow start (thanks apparently to a very large unexpected take out order of falafel ahead of me). The owner/manager was extremely gracious and comped me a free side of my choice for my long wait. I will definitely come back here though. Came in on a friday around 6pm and was real excited about trying this place for the first time. They were not busy at all. I ordered the "premium combo platter" That included a sampling of all meats with falafel over rice and whatever toppings and sauces you desire. They do not skimp on quantity at all but it doesn't really matter when all the meats we got were dry except the kefta kebob. The beef kebob and beef shawarma were especially dry and rubbery like what I imagine eating pencil erasers would be like. The portion is big but what does size matter when it's not good. The food we brought home didn't travel well. The falafels included were on the thicker side and didn't taste good all softened up. Maybe they were just having an off day, cycling old meat to save money, but for my first impression it was a huge let down. This was my first experience and it wont be my last. I ordered the Premium Combo Platter. Good portion sizes, maybe a little too much rice. The chicken was juicy, the different shawarma meats were tasty, the grilled veggies and rice were very good. The beef was a tad on the dry side, but I find this typical of kabobed meats. I loved the different varieties of meats and was very pleased. Lastly, I placed my order from the Yelp site, which seems to be part of Grubhub. The menu prices and the delivery fee were less when compared to Uber Eats. Ordering through Uber Eats would have been $7.00 more. read more

Stumbled onto this little gem today in a quiet low-key strip mall. Wow. Loved the food! And the employees (especially the owner) couldn't have been nicer. Ordered the Combo platter which had a very tasty persian-style yellow rice, succulent chicken kebobs (delicious), beef kebob (very tender meat), and kofta kebob (seasoned ground meat grilled on a skewer). The biggest surprise for me was how amazing the felafel was. I wasn't even going to order it, but one of the servers offered me one to taste with some hummus dip on it while I was waiting in line. It was so good I ordered both the hummus and the felafels! Just because the hummus was so good I also ordered the Baba Ganooj (they offer several styles). I have tried two similar "felafel" type places in the Oakbrook area and neither impressed me (never returned to either one despite loving Mediterranean & Turkish food). This place got my attention! The food was being made right in front of me, coming hot right off the grill, etc. Everything was very fresh and full of flavor. The owner told me he has only been open a week -- so I was surprised that the place was already packed at lunchtime. I guess word got around fast. The prices seemed very fair for the amount of food given, not to mention they generously gave me free samples! The only disappointment was they were out of desserts today.
