Great little fast casual Mediterranean spot, friendly service and food that hit the spot. I got a mixed chicken and steak wrap Syrian style and 4 individual falafel. The garlic sauce and Tahini on the side were great dipping sauces for both the falafel and wrap. The wrap was grilled nicely with an array of veggies and wrapped tightly. Went there for the first over the weekend. Very disappointed by the service and the food. This place is disorganized. The food was not fresh and was bland. There many options nearby that are a better option. You pay more for less food. Try other places like Pita Pita, Pita Inn, Jerusalem Cafe and even Naf Naf which are way better. My boyfriend and I love this place. We have been here multiple times, but the combo platter is definitely our favorite. Not only is the food flavorful and delicious, but the restaurant is clean and you can see everything made in front of you from fresh ingredients. We love this place! The folks at Kabob Q are always very kind, and the food is fresh and tasty. My son and I both like to get the Steak Shawarma bowls, and customize what we want in them with the toppings that they offer. My husband also likes the combo platter and the wraps. Kabob Q is a nice change of pace for fast casual eats in a market heavily saturated with hamburgers, hot dogs, and really heavy typical midwestern faire. Heard about this special restaurant from a friend and decided to get take-out for dinner last night for my family. Ordered the Shawarma Chicken Wrap, the Shawarma Steak Wrap, the Falafel Wrap and a side of hummus. First of all, I love love hummus, have had it hundreds of times (I'm old) and make it myself. I always loved my own the best until yesterday. This is hands down THE BEST hummus I have ever had and I can't put my finger on why. Anyway, I barely shared any of it with my family. The whole thing is gone. My Falafel Wrap was absolutely delicious. My family loved the Shawarma Chicken Wrap and Shawarma Wrap too. Service was excellent. Shawarma is my all time favorite food ! Came in starving and excited asking for shawarma and hummus ..they said plate comes with fries or rice. I said I didn't need either so they suggested salad. Ok sounded good ... then I proceeded to get a side salad that they put dressing on and was going to put meat right on top. I asked to have it on the side. I got two eye rolls before they took out two little bowls-- One with salad one with hummus and chicken. I just accepted it because they seemed annoyed and I don't like to be a pain ..however at the register they charged me 5.99 for shawarma and 4.99 for salad ! The plate says $8.99. I Paid for it and sat down... the salad tastes like a packaged bag of lettuce from Mariano's and the chicken is ice cold. I asked for tahini and hot sauce and I'm pretty sure their hot sauce is just some weird tasting Tabasco. Never had a chicken and hummus plate I didn't love. Until now . Food is good and workers are friendly The reason for 3 stars is service level. They are friendly - once they finally pay attention to you!! Been there twice and both times it took 5 minutes before anyone even asked to help me - even though there were 5-6 people behind the counter busily working right in front of you (no acknowledgement). I fought the urge to leave both times. Make your customers feel like you care. It takes 2 seconds to say "sorry, I'll be right with you". Don't make me feel like a dummy just standing there twiddling my thumbs Also, once they took my order, service is slow. That's a good sign that the food is being made fresh and to order but there are efficiencies that need to made. I'm sure part of this is is being a new business - but when you are struggling to handle 4-5 people - what happens if/when you have a lunch rush with 20 people? This place is great!! After my workout next door, I decided to run in really quick and grab a menu to see what they were about. The owner was extremely friendly and immediately offered a free sample of anything I would like to try. The place smelled great, so I ended up ordering chicken schawarma to go. The owner included 4 falafel, baba ghanoush, and hummus for free to bring home to try! I had food for 2 days! Generosity like that does not go unnoticed and on top of it all, the food was awesome. Chicken shawarma was best I've had with perfectly crisp and caramelized ends on moist and flavorful meat. Tabouleh was made fresh upon ordering. Garlic sauce was thick and creamy, not watery. I'm sorry.....I love LOVE Mediterranean food but this was the most tragic thing I have tasted in a long time. I got it delivered through doordash and asked to put sauce on the side and what was on it when it came..... tahini sauce and a thick glob of it. It was disgusting as well as whatever little super white sauce they had. The fattoush salad is usually my favorite because of the pita chips but whatever dressing that was used on the chips left a nasty taste in my mouth. I tried to see if the salad underneath was better and it was equally horrible. I finally thought the chicken would be ok but it too had a disgusting taste. Overpriced and portions are small the owner was really rude and cheap.i ordered a three skewer combo laughable I got one skewer with a kebab and then three pieces of chicken for another 'kebab' twice so for $14.69 I got half cup of rice six small pieces of chicken and one small skewer if mince and they offer four sides like a salad or sauce etc. I asked for the four sides to be the same thing and wanted them in a container not on top of the rice..the owner started to get mad at the employee for giving me the sides in a separate container and yelled at him to make sure that each side was just a small spoonful.. food tasted generic too ! Beef on a large gyro type kabob looked delicious while cooking. Ordered beef shawarma but was so disappointed when I saw the beef which I thought would be in tender gyro type slices had been cut into toothpick like pieces that dry and not so tasty. Everything else tasted ok and the owner was kind enough to offer me a free order of any other ingredient because I was a new customer.
