I absolutely love the food. However the last several times I've gone the service has been terrible. Whether I ordered on the phone ahead of time or even the online system, I've had to wait more than 40 minutes for one platter each time. I just left there today and I had ordered online but when I get there they tell me the system is down and they have to make it from scratch. So I add on an order of kabab fries. The cashier was a young guy with a sleeveless shirt on and just acted like he was too cool to be taking orders. And dude why you got your whole arm out around food like that. The kabab fries are not as advertised. Literally some random crinkle fries with a few cut up pieces of kabab. Absolutely no sauce, nothing. I just don't understand why the customer service is like this. Very disappointing experience. I took the time to visit this place, and the customer service is on another level, n a bad way. The lady working there knew it was going to be busy (especially with Ramadan ending), yet she was constantly on the phone and not attentive. Even simple questions like "What do you recommend?" were met with poor service. The food itself is good, I can't complain about that. However, the portions for the price are not worth it. On top of that, the ice cream area was completely unsanitary. I had already paid, and it was very difficult to get a refund. I had to wait more than 15 minutes for someone to assist me, while a man who seemed like the owner or manager was yelling in the kitchen. I decided to order based on previous reviews, but my experience was nothing like that. While serving my ice cream, some of it fell onto the counter, and instead of discarding it, he picked it up with his hand ( with a glove) and put it back in the cup. That was unacceptable. The pistachio topping was left completely open on the counter, right next to where people were passing by in line. They started out with some hiccups, but the food was good so I overlooked the excessive wait time and unorganized frenzy behind the counter.But tonight was the last straw. I watched bread dough being stretched on a, what looked like a white bag of substance. Knowing that I did not intend to eat the bread, I got my order and headed home. Only to learn that I got lamb and spinach and not what I ordered chicken with chickpeas and a side of spinach. When I called to report the mistake, the person who appeared to be in charge argued with me. Even when I told him I don't eat lamb, beef or pork, and offered my receipt that showed chicken. They are located in Woodbridge on Route 1/Richmond Highway, right beside Dunkin/Baskin Robbins in a building that was a Roy Rogers several decades ago (for those who have lived in Woodbridge for a long time). The restaurant has been completely renovated and is bright with nice tables and chairs. The smells wafting from the grill promise an enjoyable meal. They also have rolling high chairs for your little ones. I ordered item A1 (boneless chicken kabob) and a bottle of water. The entree comes with one side and their warm freshly made bread. I opted for the chickpeas. So good! The chicken was hot, moist and flavorful, and the portion was generous. They have white, green, and red sauce but I asked for only white sauce as I do not enjoy spicy food. The entree also comes with onions but I asked them not to include them. I travel a lot for work and constantly try new food in the area I'm in. In the past 6 months, this is the best food I've tasted in Virginia. I got the lamb kabob with chickpeas.
