Great coffee and nice to browse the antique store.

A++ for funky coffee shop ambiance of pre-starbucks era. Great patio, great antique store, great friendly staff. Not completely sold out on the coffee or limited food & treats menu but definitely going back for a 2nd visit. Friends and I relaxed on the patio, meandered through the antique and memorabilia side and even purchased some homemade bath soap bars at $6 each. Not your typical coffee shop! A delightful surprise and well worth a visit when on hwy 8 East, just past El Cajon exits. read more

Maybe we came at the wrong time...Is 9am on a Saturday morning not a good time to come? It's sad cos I had high hopes for this place. My 16 oz. mocha tasted like standard work-brewed coffee with some foam on top, and no latte art which I was very much looking forward to. As for my sister's strawberry banana smoothie, I could've done a better job at home. I know the barista said all of their smoothies are all-natural, but we weren't expecting a watered-down drink with not even a hint of creaminess or sweetness characteristic of a proper smoothie. Two sub-par beverages for $9? Call me disappointed. read more

Got sent on a coffee run and I googled anything but a Big Bucks coffee house ( i loath that place) and found Kaffee Meister. What an impressive coffee house. The Barista knew we were new to the place and went out of her way to make us comfortable even though she was making drinks. My son and I played chess while she whipped up our extensive order and barely got started before it was done. The blended drinks were raved about and the drip coffee I had was terrific. Definitely worth the extra miles for great service and quality Java. We will certainly be back. Great work! read more

Cool little place. We're from out of town and found it on yelp. Little hard to find from the street, not a lot of signage. Offered some unique drinks, like the vienesse (honey & cinnamon) espresso which is what I got and enjoyed. My wife got a blended vanilla chai with macadamia milk. She enjoyed it as well. This is the BEST coffee in east county!! I love that they have Jr. Açaí bowls, my son always wants one and they're the perfect size! Very few vegan eats, but their chia pudding is some of the best I've had! Can't go wrong with a vegan Lavender latte with the best espresso ever. Yummm read more

I was so pleased to have stumbled upon this place! Wonderful coffee, wonderful food & a great ambience & outdoor patio! I was there for breakfast & highly recommend having the egg & cheese sandwich with sausage (served on s delicious buttery croissant) and a latte (which is artistically beautiful AND delicious). I can't wait to go back for lunch and/or dinner too! It's also attached to an antique store which is awesome too!! Lastly, they have a drive-thru too, if you don't have time to go inside! This place is awesome! It's a little pricey for being a lakeside coffee shop but it's comparable for the quality you get. I ordered an iced spiced chai tea latte with almond milk and an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. When I pulled up to the window they asked if I wanted pesto on the breakfast sandwiches I think is a nice touch. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. read more

This place is so random! They have a coffee bar inside of an antique store.. I personally have never heard of that lol. You could imagine my confusion when I walked in seeing all the old lady stuff when I was just expecting a coffee shop lol. But sure enough they have great coffee! If you're looking for great coffee and breakfast, this place should be a regular. It has fantastic coffee, always tasting fresh and strong. The quiches there are beyond amazing and the whipped cream is homemade and delicious. (The only whipped cream I'll take on my drinks; none of the Starbucks garbage.) You can't pass through, live, or visit San Diego without going to Kaffee Meister. It's a must taste read more

I got an iced caramel something - latte, I think. It was Waaay too sweet. I went back in and got two extra shots poured in. It helped. If it wasnt for trying my friends drink, id give them a lower rating, but his was goood. Cant remember the exact drink, maybe a white mocha. Not too sweet at all. read more

I've given this place more than enough chances and I really wanted to like it. Plus I would rather give small businesses my money rather than Starbucks. But I'm sorry waiting 20 min for a watered down iced coffee is absolutely ridiculous. The older lady is really sweet but consistently really really slow. It took her 12 min to make 2 shots over ice and she messed them up...which I'm not sure how that's even possible. Get some faster barista's and some cold brew and I would reconsider visiting again. read more

Took my dad here a Saturday morning to grab coffee and a pastry. Cute place with friendly staff and good coffee.

Iced coffee was good. Acai bowl overpriced by about 2-3 dollars and just ok. The girls working offered great customer service.

I was charged 7.75 for a triple latte breve style 16 oz. Never bought an 8 dollar coffee in my life and never will again. I also watched the whole milk steamed and poured into my drink when i asked if it was half and half i received a smiley yes. Being the only customer at that time it was so obvious. They charge for latte, add half n half, add 1 pump vanilla, add shot etc. The shot is fine even the vanilla, but half and half? Never again read more

I have had the vanilla late twice here and it sucked bad both times, also the wait times in the drive thru line 15-20 mins.... ok. However since I had the raspberry Italian soda with my daughter a different time and it was the most amazing thing since I've lived in Washington I decided to give it 3 stars. read more

We miss this place so much.. We recently moved to Tierrasanta and there is no Kaffee Meister out there... So we drive in to santee and get it there now. We plan to stop by and visit our friends at this location soon. They are all such nice people and they always remember our order. 2 iced vanilla lattes with 1 sweetnlow in each and 1 with extra ice.
