Look how dirty the counter is and all the items in tupperwares
    Drake M.

Good morning all, We decided to finally go check out the coffee shop in the big red barn by our home, Kaffee Meister. The antique shop wasn't open that early. We peaked through the windows of the barn and their antiques look awesome. When we went in the cafe we were very disappointed. Looks dirty, messy, empty tupperwares EVERYWHERE. Pastries kept in tupperwares instead of displayed in a more appetizing way. Ordered 2 cappuccinos. They don't have sugar and sweetener available for customers to sweeten to their own taste, you have to ask for it AFTER they served it unsweetened, and they don't even ask how MANY! Cappuccinos served in a tiny cup for $10 for 2. I couldn't drink mine as she put too much artificial sweetener. The three young girls were more interested in their conversation about traveling to Spain than paying attention to the customers. They were very nice and friendly just not focused. Very sad and disappointed as we would have loved to become regulars. We will return to check out the antiques.

A coffee shop inside a florist & vintage shop?! Talk about dreamy. I wanted to work somewhere on my lunch break and searched coffee shop & I had no idea I'd be walking into an antique wonderland that would lead me to this quaint coffee shop. I had a lovely time working while I sipped on my latte. I was even pleasantly surprised when I walked into the restroom to find it covered with art and antiques. I'm excited to come back and enjoy my coffee before exploring more of the vintage shop

Smell good walking in the shop. Open at 7 am. Drive thru and call to order options. There are 5 tables inside. Quaint and homey deco. WiFi free. Some light breakfast sandwiches dish besides Pastries biscottis scones muffin cinnamon rolls. Relax and enjoy the morning kaffe

We drove through this unassuming coffee shop on the way up to hike at Mount Laguna and it's so cute! You can enter through the antique store (also so cool to go through if you have extra time) or you can drive through. They have homemade pastries and plenty of specialty coffee flavors on top of your traditional coffee offerings. Very friendly, sweet staff. TLDR; Great stop right off the freeway before heading up to the mountains.

Love this coffee shop! I come here to work sometimes and it's so peaceful and allows me to get a lot done. The staff is all very welcoming and creates a great culture. Not to mention the quality and taste of the coffee is superb. The only challenge is parking due to being in a business complex - as the day progresses it gets harder to find parking.

The cinnaroll latte was probably one of the best coffee drinks I've had in a long time. Loved the punch of cinnamon and just the right amount of sweetness. Loved loved loved this drink. The cafe au lait was ok. Just didn't have enough pizazz but it's a good coffee. I don't care much for them but boy friend said it's a good one. The egg and cheese croissant was good as well. Flaky and good flavor. The pesto was delicious. Service was just as great. I'd be back for sure when traveling down this road from mission valley or when in the area. Stop in you won't be disappointed.

I come to this coffee spot if I can on Saturday mornings. I would say its a small and quaint little spot. Off to a rather small part of the main street. I normally get the Cold brew. It doesn't disappointment. I have yet to try their breakfast sandwiches/ food etc. The gals that work here are always nice and hardworking. They also sell antiques here it looks like. But mostly coffee. I have yet to ask about the antiques. I would say prices are not bad at all. The quality is great! If you are ever in this area I highly recommend this place. They also have a drive thru. I feel though you miss a lot of the vibes that way because this is a small whole in the wall to me. Its better to stop in real quick you get a better vibe of the place. It has a calming feel to it.

This is just a convenient coffee cart located in the same building (barn) as an antique store. It was a nice stop for a relaxing drink and stroll after our hike in Lakeside

What kind of address is this? When I go to the website it says it has a cafe in Santee and in Lakeside, are those the same as this here in El Cajon and how do you guys get there?…

It is kind of strange--there are two shops. One is in Santee and is pretty easy to find; the other has an El Cajon address but is right on the crossroads between Lakeside and El Cajon, so the location is actually called by both Lakeside and El…

Our go-to orders, tested and approved: Fruit Strudel Raspberry Muffin Blueberry Muffin Apple D'lish Once in a while, we also ordered this items. My sister usually picks up our orders for parties and events. My biggest issue with Hans & Harry's has always been the inconsistency. I'll try something that is absolutely delicious, order it again, and the next time it's just not as good or doesn't taste as fresh. Then I'll move on to something else, love it, and eventually have the same experience. I still keep coming back because they have such a huge selection and, when something is good, it can be really good. Unfortunately, the inconsistency in taste, freshness, and quality can be disappointing. The cherry turnover has been my one reliable favorite that has never disappointed me. Today I ordered a custard pastry shaped like a turnover and a walnut cinnamon braid. Unfortunately, neither tasted particularly fresh, and both were very doughy. The custard filling itself was delicious, but the pastry was much more like a sweet bread than the light, flaky pastry I was expecting. When I asked the employee about it, he didn't really explain that it was more of a sweet bread; he simply agreed that it was fluffy. Had I been craving a sweet bread, I might have enjoyed it more. The walnut cinnamon braid was even more disappointing. One bite was enough for me to decide it wasn't worth the calories! I wanted that first bite to be full of cinnamon, butter, and walnuts--the kind of bite that makes you immediately want another. Instead, it was bland and doughy. Unfortunately, I've experienced the same inconsistency with their cakes and fruit strudel, which I order regularly for parties. Sometimes they are absolutely to die for, and other times they're just not that great. There's obviously a reason I continue coming back: Hans & Harry's has an incredible variety, and I know how good their desserts can be. I just wish the freshness and quality were more consistent from one visit to the next.

So I asked Mr.Google where I could find a high quality sourdough loaf. Of course I paged down past the paid ads and found Angela's Eccentric Kitchen. The website said they open at 7:00, so after filling up at Costco, I headed over. They're a couple of doors down from Mary's donuts. I walked in and was greeted immediately and asked what I'm looking for. I explained my story and was shown the perfect sourdough loaf for my needs. Now, I'm not personally a fan of sourdough, but when I hollowed out the bowl, I tried some and oh my gosh, it was delicious! I painted the bowl with olive oil cod placed it in a. 350° oven for about 15 minutes to toast. I painted the lid with EVOO and sprinkled with salt, granulated garlic, and dried chives. I mixed the innerds the same way and put all of them in the air fried at 400° for 6 minutes to toast. Once done, I let the bowl cool for a half hour and couldn't stop snacking on the croutons while making the chowder from scratch. Once the chowder was ready, I assembled the meal and gave it to my wife. She devoured it forthwith and said it was better than that served on Fisherman's wharf in San Francisco. Now, if I'd been thinking, I'd have gotten some of their tasty looking sweet treats for desert. But I'll be back. I encourage you to come by for your bread and sweet bakery needs. You won't be disappointed.
