If you're looking for a good hole in the wall dive bar that has pool tables, karaoke, and great drink prices this is the place to go. The staff are very excellent people I went there the other day when I had some business to do around the area as a friends we ended up grabbing some drinks, playing some pool and mustard up the court in karaoke all I could say was just nothing but good vibes and everything like that. We love the owner Michelle! She really strives to know everyone on a first name basis and makes you feel at home. All of the bartenders are great but we love Ami. WARNING! DO NOT GO THERE. I called this bar after experiencing severe memory loss, dizziness, nausea, and other symptoms. MIND YOU I ONLY HAD 2 DRINKS. Following my visit and asked if they had security cameras. The employee who answered responded with 'well did you have fun' and then said that if he only had two drinks and wasn't 'that messed up, he would want to be roofied too. I told him this was a serious situation and that his response was completely inappropriate. I later contacted the sheriff's department and was advised to document the interaction. Regardless of what happened that night, the way this concern was handled was disturbing and dismissive. Customer safety should be taken seriously. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING THERE AND IF YOU DO..MAKE SURE YOU WATCH YOUR DRINK THE ENTIRE NIGHT. read more

I've been going to the Full Circle Saloon for years now. I love all the bands that play there I love the people that frequent there and I think Michelle the owner is one coolass woman. Holy Hell Michelle what a cool spot . And the drink prices are way too cheap. I guess I shouldn't say that too loud but I swear I had 4 top shelf margaritas and a Diet Coke for my wifey and it was $42. Wtf . This is an 80s throw back pricing spot with sick ass cover bands. Full circle saloon has a great, chill vibe. It's mostly country but there is also a nice rock culture. There is hosted karaoke that is amazing! The bartender was kind and accommodating. Free pool, and clean bathrooms. Can't ask for a better dive!! read more

Been going here for a while now it's usually standing room only on Sat night if you come 9pm or later. I got here at 9:10 pm left ride over to be responsible with the wife. Well soon as we got there the doorman said it was 8 dollars tonight. Well we felt it was a bit much 16.00 total for standing in an overcrowded small bar. We decided to go to the VFW since I'm a vet. It was a couple doors down and drinks are much cheaper, hurt had to deal with karaoke night....lol... We like Full Circle but only if there is no cover charge since we usually have to stand if we get there after 9pm. ;) Drink prices aren't that bad but much cheaper and no cover charge ever at VFW convinced us to change our mind since we took a lyft there and will have to back home I wasn't feeling like blowing 50.00 bucks just to get there and stand not counting drinks...lol read more

So 5yrs ago I went here to hangout, have a couple an go home. Got waaay more than I bargained for!! I was having a good time, realized I didn't take anything out for dinner. So I decided to go to jack in the box right next door. Saw 3 white males who were clearly intoxicated, later start a fight with me. Everything was caught on camera, they clearly started it. They later filed a complaint against me at my station, I was off duty at the time. (I was a federal agent, now retired). Couple months later, I went back and was told shortly after arriving, that I needed to leave by the owner. I'm assuming the hooligans and the owner knew each other. Not making assumptions, but they were Caucasian and I'm a Spaniard... Lived here in Santee almost my entire life and never experienced anything like this before... read more

Every time I come here, I arrive early to get a seat, but ALL of the tables have been reserved for regulars who haul their a**es in after the band starts. Not nice. How about a first come, first served policy?? Don't think I'll be coming back anymore. It's ridiculous. read more

This may be my new karaoke spot. They offer it on Wednesday and Sundays. The experience last night had some ups and downs but overall great and you know me, well no you don't, but I do love a good story. So the karaoke starts at 8, which is a plus especially when u get older. The gal who played the karaoke tunes was super nice and accommodating as well as a decent singer. I got to sing 4 songs and one of the patrons was so enthralled with my selection she just had to come up and sing it with me, so close that I feared she might kiss me and THEN she actually tweaked my right nipple! I tried to go outside to practice but the WiFi didn't work well, so I got a chance to witness an almost domestically violent situation in the parking lot. At least I got to share the experience with a cool handsome guy who said we should get out our cell phones to videotape the event. Luckily they left before we had to call the police.My husband got to play pool with a couple ladies and jumped in on a few songs I sang. The place is so non threatening he felt comfortable doing that, and he never sings with me. Never a dull moment on a Sunday before Christmas. read more

Female bartender is a theif. Bartender said 14 for two drinks. Gave her a 20. She leaves 1 dollar on bar with drinks. (Stealing 5 dollars from me). This place was fun on friday night but beware theifs work here. Stupid..I'm in service industry amd we tip well. read more

Been here several times for drink and paint and on the weekends for the killer live music. Prices are fair and the sound and lighting system is "rock-n-roll". If you haven't been here, you are missing out. Michelle the owner also is a huge contributor to the community and has special events going on for raising funds for children, cancer and other worthwhile causes. I almost forgot to mention that occasionally they have a great spread of food going too. read more

I was at the Full Circle Saloon not long ago for a co-worker's going-away gathering. I used to frequent this place years ago when it was the Second Wind. It seems to be much cleaner and less divey in this new incarnation. Still divey enough to be a dive bar, but not off-putting. It seems the new management has made significant upgrades. They still feature live music, I was in on a Thursday afternoon so I can't speak to that, but live music is typically a good thing. By the look of the lighting, stage, house equipment and sound/mixing board, it looks as though they put considerable effort into the quality of the sound. They have a dance floor too so if the music moves you to move to it you can move to the music. They have a couple of pool tables, bar shuffle board, jukebox, everything you expect to find at your local watering hole. The selection of beer is good and the service and price are on point as well. Yeah, I'd totally come back and check out a band here. Oh! And there is a Jack In the Box across the parking lot so you can have your Lyft driver swing through the drive thru to get your late night 2-taco drunken grub on! read more

This place is, in a single word, fun. The drinks are honest pours, the prices are reasonable, the entertainment is varied and engaging, and the owners set a friendly, welcoming tone that carries over. If I had to find something negative, it can be a bit crowded at times and hard to navigate around. It's hard, though, to call that a problem, since it helps make sure they're likely to succeed, and that's on balance a good thing. Been here a few times just for drinks and once for a paint night (if you get a chance get some friends together and go check it out). The customer service is just fine, the employees are doing the best they can with what they've got. There's really not a lot to say with that aspect, for better or worse. Although the line system and how long you wait for the subpar food is a crime in and of itself. The food itself is the most disappointing part: the majority of the offerings taste cheap, virtually all the meat is incredibly dry, and the sauce will do a little to nothing to fix that. The best thing about the food is that they have Cajun seasoning at the table that you can overload your food with, making it taste slightly more edible. This hardly fixes the fries, though, which might be the worst part about it, emphasizing the dryness of the restaurant's to a degree that can only be compared to a sprawling baking desert in the middle of July. And you can forget about healthier eating options here. All of it is mediocre at best. It would be nice to recommend a local business like this. Unfortunately, it's impossible to do that in this case. Until the restaurant completely overhauls its menu, service style, and does something to really spruce up the place to bring it up to a higher caliber, it's best to steer far clear of aroma tempting roasting aroma that lingers across the neighboring parking lots.

The second dish was much better, and I truly appreciated the effort he made. Unfortunately, what should have been a positive recovery turned into one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences I've ever had. After my replacement meal was brought out, another staff member--not my server or the chef--stood nearby watching me as I took my first bite. He even commented that he wanted to "make sure she's alright." While I understand the intention may have been to check on my experience, the way it was handled made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. Instead of simply checking in and giving me space, he continued hovering and watching me eat. It felt like I was being observed rather than allowed to enjoy my meal. As someone who already doesn't like feeling watched while eating, this completely took away my appetite. I ended up pushing my food aside because I was so uncomfortable. It wasn't the replacement meal that ruined my experience--it was the constant hovering and feeling like I was being monitored. I hope this feedback is taken constructively because I truly do enjoy this restaurant and will likely continue coming back. The chef and my server handled everything with professionalism and care, and they deserve recognition for that. My only hope is that staff understand there's a difference between checking on a guest and making them feel like they're under a microscope. A quick check-in is appreciated; standing over someone while they eat is not. I never want another guest to leave feeling as uncomfortable as I did.

The only time staff intervened was when my husband was present specifically to help with a medical situation. We are older adults and long-standing, active members of this community. We rarely go out -- this was for a friend's birthday, something we do maybe once a year. We were with a group of friends who are also older adults, all of whom had been there for some time, simply sitting together and minding our own business, not interacting with or disturbing other patrons. Being removed in front of our friends, without any conversation, clarification, or discretion, was deeply embarrassing and upsetting. A simple, private question or a moment of understanding could have avoided this entirely. I hope management uses this as an opportunity to better train staff on handling medical situations with compassion, discretion, and consistency.

The HMS Surprise was a lovely ship with plenty of references to its use in films. The Star of India was like a museum all on its own, so many areas to explore and a ton of history to learn. The Californian was pretty basic, not very different from many other ships we've visited in the past. Steam Ferry Berkeley was the largest, with displays showcasing scientific instruments, model boats, artwork, the riverboats in Vietnam, the engine room, a torpedo caught by a fisherman, and a special exhibit featuring the "histories of the black pacific". There's a gift shop on site as well. Altogether, the variety of ships at the Maritime Museum made for an interesting adventure, a bit touristy, but worth the cost if you're into history or simply like boats.

The theaters do cater to them so if you're in a group, you'll feel far from them. -Try as we might to pay in person, we could not avoid the service fee applied to all sales. My "host" brought out the popcorn + drink pretty swiftly. The popcorn tasted stale, just like another time I'd visited. Even though I'm pretty sure their 1:30 movies are their first showing. About halfway through the movie, I pressed the call button because I still hadn't received my nachos. The host said, "They might be ready now. Let me check." Translation: "I forgot them." That was pretty annoying. Especially as this is the third time something like this has occurred at The Lot. And I've only been three times in total. Luckily, the popcorn was free because it was my birthday, which I had to remind the host twice before he tried charging me. Do not order it unless you enjoy stale popcorn. The nachos and ginger ale were tasty, though. Overall, the vibe/setup is nice for viewing films. I only which the service and attention to detail was better.

It can be a little hard to find, but if you can locate LA Fitness or Old Spaghetti Factory, you're getting warmer. It's nestled between Pizza Nova and Ryan Bros Coffee. Lots of free parking. They've also hosted the annual San Marcos Student Film Festival 2 years running, which is usually in June, and again free to the public. The only reason for the lack of 5 stars is that it is COLD in the winter, and WET when its rainy ...not that there's a real solution to that, other than a blanket and an umbrella.... Expect kids running around, outdoor noise from cars and conversation, but its all part of the fun. Did I mention its all FREE?

Though not "pristine" movie viewing conditions, it's free and its outdoors and did I mention it's Free?. A rad way to spend a few hours some Saturday night taking in a flick. Bring your own blanket (and chair if you've got one, seating can be limited) and re-live the golden age of drive ins, that you probably weren't alive for in the first place.

Owner did not offer to stop playing a degrading song "A lap dance is better when the stripper is crying. Well I find it quite a thrill when she grinds me against her will." More lyrics from this song say " I told Bambi I wanted to skin her..... and wear her face like a mask. I have to admit it was even more of a turn-on when I found out she was doin' me to buy baby formula." This is a a song appropriate for serial killers and John's who rape sex workers, who are forced by their situation to work against their will. The bartender was angry and irritated with me when I asked to him to please turn it off. Two other female staff of this bar employee were unconcerned. The owner, who is a woman, was combative and dismissive and did not offer in any way to stop this and said, " I will not be a song Nazi." She said there is a guy there that likes to play this song when he plays pool. If people there accept this happening I will vote by not going there. I think this place was the Second Wind before. It is a lot of fun when they have Kareoke and live bands. I can agree with what another Yelper said about the service, it leaves something to be desired. I stopped in recently just to have a beer and it literally took 17 minutes to get a coors light bottle. The bartender was completely stuck on this one customer who ordered something that she was out of. I only waited as long as I did because it became amusin to see how far she would go for this guy and how oblivious she was to the other patrons (all 5 of us). Another customer got so pissed that he said,"Jesus lady, I'll go next door and buy you a bottle of the stuff myself! The rest of us would like a F^%$#@ drink too." I couldn't help but chuckle. When Mimi finally did come to our table, we just asked for the check so we could pay and leave. The name on the check was Miranda so I'm not sure what that is about. Im not normally an IPA drinker but this one I liked, it wasnt too bitter and I dare say I liked this IPA! Chili was great and hit the spot, was hearty and well seasoned, just what my body wanted.
