Had a lovely friends date and outing to the weekly free themed Scupture happy hour at the Delaware Art Muesum. This week was complimentary karaoke and "We the People" exhibit. But before all that this guy is hungry after work and without local food trucks in the back parking lot and Sculpture garden; I can always rely on the Cafe to satisfy me with a delicious freshly prepared sandwich. I was excited to take my coworker to the event and she settled on an egg salad and ice latte for her meal with some toppings removed while I opted for a curry chicken salad on a croissant with chips. All in all the sandwich was filling with a distinct flavor that I've come to expect with curry seasoning. My friend had large sandwich with arugula and the egg salad that she gave me some of the arugula since there was so much. Adding that to my sandwich broke up the savory flavors with every bite. We got to the muesum just as the event was starting which I'm glad as the muesum and café can get packed quickly. We were able to find a table and unwind before exploring the muesum. I always like this event because I can enjoy a wine with sandwich and feel a little bit classier. The real MVP in dealing with our indecisiveness and being patient was Diego who took our order and walked us through the cash app loyalty program that we signed up for as I know I check out the cafe and muesum least quarterly. He was warm, friendly and took our light hearted banter. I also just found out that they do afternoon tea so another fun event/activity to check out. This café, located within the Delaware Art Museum, is quaint but packs a variety of offerings. I will say that I've patronized a number of times even before I became a member of the art museum, and I never had a bad drink (booba, coffee, tea, etc.). From that perspective, you can't go wrong trying out one of the regular or special drinks. I haven't eaten much food, but this time I got a chicken quesidilla and it was not very good. The chicken was didn't appear to be the best quality, it was very bland and while I love cheese it just felt like it was very heavy without much flavor. Perhaps there are other things on the menu that are better, but this was a miss for me. I have had their charcuterie offerings during events and happy hours which seem to be made with quality ingredients. read more

Located inside of the Delaware Art Museum this cafe has a pretty extensive food and drink menu. The baristas were really friendly and I enjoyed my hot chocolate before continuing my stroll of the museum. However, you don't need a museum ticket to enjoy the cafe and there's free parking as well. read more

Ordered a chai latte for $6 which nowadays is a fair price. I would give it a 6.5/10; unfortunately it was kinda of bland. In regards to customer service was pretty non-existent. I arrived late morning on a Sunday and it was not busy at all. No greeting when I came through the door nor when I got to the counter. The counter girl actually stood at the register for almost 2 mins not even looking up or acknowledging me. She then proceeded to walk away to the kitchen for a moment and returned, apologized, and took my order. Bit awkward of an interaction when she returned. Quiche was amazing! Big, but light and fluffy packed with veggies. Had a great buttery flavor and was just overall delicious. I liked the side salad with it. My friends beet salad was huge, so many pecans and cranberries. The staff were really nice and friendly. The watermelon matcha didn't look like the picture on the menu and was way too sweet. I realized it's just watermelon syrup in matcha iced tea. The ambiance is so cute and nice that it's right in the museum. You can just go to the cafe through without buying museum tickets. And there is a nice sculpture garden you can walk around outside too read more

I ordered the Churro Latte and a cranberry muffin from DoorDash and they were both lovely! The latte was nicely sweet and creamy with a great cinnamon flavor. Both items were packed so nicely and thoughtfully, complete with a little chocolate wafer! I didn't get to see the place, but I'll have to check it out! read more

Kaffeina Cafe is a small coffee shop within the Delaware Art Museum, but you can visit the cafe without visiting the museum (take take your coffee to go if you want), since they have a separate exterior entrance. They had a large menu of coffee drinks (including lots of seasonal holiday drinks when we visited today), and some food as well (including pastries for a quick bite as a snack if you're visiting the museum). We stuck to coffees and enjoyed our americano (mine) and churro latte (his). The service was good, and the space is fairly large (lots of seating). Cute holiday decor, too! Overall, not a bad place for a coffee whether you're visiting the museum or just in need of a little caffeine. read more

Disappointed by a place I used to enjoy I've visited Kaffeina several times in the past and always appreciated the friendly service and cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was a letdown--and enough to make me reconsider ever returning. I stopped in hoping for a coffee and a slice of chocolate cake, which was clearly labeled at $6 in the display case. When I went to pay, the employee rang it up at $7. I pointed out the discrepancy, expecting the posted price to be honored. Instead, I was told the price had gone up "yesterday." I mentioned that I'd rather use that extra dollar to leave a larger tip, but was told flatly that adjusting the price wasn't possible. To make matters worse, the employee consulted with another staff member who was on his phone in the back. That person barely looked up, confirmed the price hike, and walked away without any interest in resolving the issue or even acknowledging the concern. I left without making a purchase. I don't support businesses that fail to honor their listed prices or show basic courtesy when a customer raises a valid point. It's a shame--Kaffeina used to be a reliable favorite. Sadly, I won't be returning. read more

Great atmosphere here indoor and out. The owner, a friendly kind Korean woman brings some of her Korean coffee heritage here. Parking is a little bit of a walk but it's beautiful. You can enter the main art building door and take the hall on the left. Then the coffee shop is on the left. Another option is to enter the coffee shop directly. The coffee shop door is located to the left of the main door. I had my usual cortado and a recommended Korean coffee called a Dalgona Lattee. The Dalgona was amazingly delicious but sweet. For me it was like a dessert drink. It uses instant coffee. I would have never guessed because it was do good. My preferred cortado drink was delicious too. I like the coffee flavor a little stronger but it was typical of what I get at most GREAT coffee shops. I'm very picky about strong French roast flavor. I will definitely be back. This is a fun location to visit. The owner and employees were super friendly and welcoming. read more

I love this place! It is an excellent addition to the Museum and to the area especially if you appreciate an elegant Afternoon Tea experience. The setting is charming as are the ladies that run the Cafe. I had a cappuccino here last week and found out that in addition to their regular offerings that they were going to start having an afternoon tea service once a week. Wow! Am I glad I made a reservation. Everything they served us (from the tea to the sandwiches to the scones to the desserts) was not only delicious, but lovely to look at as well. They did an excellent job with presentation and attention to detail down to the cute little spoons for the chocolate mousse. The service was gracious and attentive. The servings were quite ample. We were among their first tea customers and so they were looking for suggestions. I suggested that they might make smaller scones and give us four small ones rather than two that needed to be cut in half to share because they were two different kinds. That way there would be no fighting over who gets what! I personally would have preferred something less sweet (like shortbread) than the chocolate mousse that was served as one of three sweet selections BUT my friend was in heaven when she ate hers. Keep watching their website and the Delart.org website for notice of their next tea times -- you will be glad you did! I plan to go back soon to take my Husband with me. This is a really lovely cafe inside the Delaware Art Museum. I had a latte which was absolutely delicious, and my friends had a few other drink and food items which they all enjoyed.
