Coffee and food were fantastic! Sort of hated the porch seating (only because of the cars pulling up in the spots right next to the tables) but other than that, very cute cafe and can't wait to go back!

We stopped for lunch while sightseeing nearby. The kitchen staff easily accommodated our gluten and lactose intolerances. We had the chicken salad sandwich on gluten free bread, a turkey sandwich on a baguette, and a gluten free raspberry bar - delicious! Portion sizes are good and potato chips accompany sandwiches. Parking is very convenient; either on-street or right in front of the building. Comfortable seating in a nicely decorated dining area.

The service and food were amazing! It's a charming little spot. I got an iced hazelnut latte and it was one of the best I've ever had.

I ordered it as a Turkey bowl salad with a gluten free scone and cofe au lait. Instead they made me a sandwich. They forgot the scone. When I finally got the salad it was great. The blueberry scone was okay. It was more cake like than biscuity and pretty light on the blueberries. The coffee was nice and hot. Because there's no waitress service I had to repeatedly get up from my seat to check on my order before and after they bungled it. If I'd wanted I could have stood there to wait but there's no place to SIT and wait and to see if your order is ready. In conclusion: the turkey bowl was good but it's just deli meat. The rest of the salad was what was really good. I I think people come here for the ambiance because $14.50 for a salad made with deli meat was not special. My friend ordered a cinnamon bun which she said was "okay." She prefers the grilled sticky buns at Hank's.

The vibe is light and airy, and the service is always friendly. I especially appreciate their rotating drink specials and options for non-coffee drinks, like a matcha. Also shoutout to the scones from OsoSweet bakery across Baltimore Pike--they go so well with a coffee and are huge and tasty. Chadds Ford Coffee House is what a chain like Starbucks aspires to be: local, cozy, and artisanal. Good music playing loud enough that you can hear it, but not so loud that you can't have a good conversation. There is wifi and a good amount of seating, including stools for solo diners who might want to open a laptop and send a few emails while eating the aforementioned giant scone. It's also easy to get takeout service, but I'd say it's worth spending a few minutes here to really savor your food and drink.

I ordered the matcha cloud and it was good. They're using pink coconut water and heavy cream in the matcha cloud. You can taste the heavy cream more if you don't mix it and you'll want it mix it. The cortado on the other hand was made very well, but the taste of the espresso was a little off. They must use a dark roast bean for their espresso which was just a bit bitter for the 50/50 cortado. Would be fine in a sweetened latte. I'd come here again!

However, you can still sample these fungi at the museum's Millstone Cafe, which features seasonsl and local ingredients. The day we visited there was a quiche featuring Kennett Square mushrooms and also a cream of mushroom soup. Since we were strapped for both time and money, we went for the soup at $5 a bowl. It was pretty good, not great. The restaurant experience would be a lot more appealing if they invested in real crockery and silverware rather than wax-coated cardboard and plastic. Visitors to the museum are by definition art lovers, which means they care about aesthetics. And visitors to the restaurant are often food lovers, which means they may not enjoy food eaten off discardable materials very much. Yes, I know it will cost more to invest in dishes and a dishwasher. But not that much more. Given that the museum is situated in the heart of a nature conservancy, more attention to sustainability seems in keeping with the spirit of the location. Thank you for considering!

The roasted veggie wrap was 90% brussel sprouts with very few other veggies. I love sprouts, but you have to know how to cook them or they are gross. These were gross, and cold. I felt sick after eating it, and for the next few hours. Also, they are running a limited menu right now which means they either picked the worst items from their menu, or these are the best they have, and that is just sad. The view is awesome! The restaurant is inside a museum and has a great view of a river. If they had a halfway decent restaurant this view would make it a frequent stop in for us.

The moment I started eating it I knew...this was gonna be special. The pork tasted like it had been marinated and slow cooked to be flavor packed and oh so tender. Just the right amount of ham, ooooey gooey Swiss cheese, pickles and yellow mustard rounded out this hefty (had to take the rest to go) sandwich on a beautifully toasted Cuban roll. This thing easily became my all-time favorite Cuban sandwich, and it wasn't even close. Side note, I'm not sure what the pasta salad that was included is called but after I took one bite, it was gone before I even finished the first half of my sandwich!
