Went back to celebrate our birthday here again this time planned! Had a great time enjoying the selection this time around too!

    Turkish breakfast spread, menemen! Delicious!

This is such a hidden gem. Fresh breads and desserts are delicious. Don't sleep on the full breakfast menu, they make some Turkish breakfasts that are incredible.

Even though I was on a diet and couldn't indulge in all the amazing pastries and desserts, my friends absolutely loved them. The service was excellent--the staff were extremely kind and attentive. I tried the menemen, and it was delicious, perfectly cooked and flavorful. The bread was super fresh as well, which made the whole experience even better. On top of that, the interior design and wall art were really charming, adding to the warm and inviting vibe of the place. Definitely a gem for authentic Turkish flavors!

A nice family run bakery with desserts like a variety of baklavas, savory stuffed buns, and beautiful elaborate cakes. They have Turkish, regular, and decaf coffee. Lots of seating and very clean and peaceful inside. Located in a plaza with plenty of parking. Highly recommend checking it out!

The borek came out hot and flaky, with that perfect balance of crispy outside and soft, cheesy inside. The lahmacun was thin, slightly crispy, and packed with flavor the mix of lamb and spices hit without feeling heavy. Then came the Istanbul Mix Grill, and this is where they really stand out. You get a full spread lamb chops, Adana, chicken, kofta, gyro and everything actually tasted amazing. The lamb chops were juicy, the Adana had a nice kick, and the chicken was tender and well seasoned. Portions are generous easily enough for two. We finished with baklava, kunefe, and Turkish coffee. The baklava was solid, but the kunefe is the one you don't skip warm, cheesy, slightly sweet, and fresh. Paired with the Turkish coffee, it was the perfect way to end the meal. Service was fast, and everyone was genuinely friendly. They didn't just take orders they actually helped guide us on what pairs well together, which made the experience better overall. Price wise it's worth it. Not overpriced for the amount and quality of food you're getting. The vibe is casual and family friendly, but still flexible you can come here with friends to hang out and talk, or even make it a solid date night spot. What stood out most is that there were no weak links across everything we ordered and that's rare when you try this many dishes. If you're coming here, don't play it safe. Get the mix grill, try a couple appetizers, and finish with kunefe especially with the ice cream on top!

You order at the counter and your food is brought to you at the table of your choice. In spite of this, we arrived early in the evening and received a fair bit of attention right at the table. We started with an order of light and flavorful falafel which arrived with a serving of vinegary salad and a small cup of hummus. For our meals, we each had Kebaps, chicken for me and donner (shaved beef and lamb) for my husband. Perfectly spiced, served with more salad, tzatziki sauce, and a side of rice with a scattering of vegetables. All of these flavors melded together to make a delicious meal. For dessert, we shared an order of Kazandibi (Turkish crème brulé) - served cold, topped with crushed pistachios. Scrumptious! Highly recommend this out-of-the-way restaurant!

No spice, no heat, no substance- they were over fried dry balls of cornmeal. While I was there, someone came in and ordered a box of falafel. I was amazed and feel like I'm missing something. However, their lamb and chicken and adana were on point and reminded me of my visits to Istanbul.

Food that's absolutely a must order include the hummus platter, with extraordinary fresh bread. and the baklava. Both are epic! I had the lunch special, which was lamb kebabs with white rice. Lamb was ok but not remarkably spiced nor that tender. But it was good. The rice was a bit mushy and there was little to no dressing on the salad nor the red cabbage on the dish. Would have loved to have had something more like rice pilaf. Requested some white yogurt dressing on the side and this brought it together. I don't think one can judge a place based on the lunch special so I will definitely be returning to try more of their entrées that they're known for. The place was packed so clearly locals know this is a good place to go!

From the outside, it doesn't look like much; in fact, it looks like a bit of a dive from outside. But when you walk in, you are transported. The design of the restaurant is so special - community tables, pillows, tapestries, waterfall features, tiles, and belly dancing. The food was a little inconsistent. We shared many dishes: Bastilla (baked layers of filo dough, eggs, chicken, almonds, sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar); hummus (chickpeas, tahini, crushed garlic, lemon juice, sprinkled with paprika and olive oil, served with pita bread); Spanakopita; salad trio (eggplant salad, cucumber and tomato salad, and carrot salad); lamb tagine (stew of lamb, onions, and roasted peppers topped with honey and served with rice); Moroccan chicken with harissa cumin sauce; mujaddara (cracked bulgur wheat cooked with lentils and caramelized onions); and mint tea. I wish they didn't serve bottled waters, and the food was mostly good but not the most consistent. Our mujaddara wasn't served with the yogurt sauce listed on the menu, and the lamb with the tagine was incredibly fatty, making some of it inedible. The mint tea was really really really sweet - like syrup! I also wish the bastilla had a little less powdered sugar (I like on the dish, but it was A LOT of powdered sugar), and it was quite dry. But the eggplant salad, carrot salad, hummus, and mujaddara (even without the yogurt sauce) were great. I would happily have eaten just those dishes. They were busy - it's a popular place - but service was also a challenge. It took us almost a half hour to get the check and pay. I had to ask for the bill twice and then it still took a while to get it, for it to get picked up, and for it to come back to us. It's pretty bad if I'm considering walking up to the bar to get the check and pay. I loved the ambiance and the character. I loved that you can't tell how amazing it's going to be inside when you see the outside of the building - it's a surprise for sure. Our experience was that the food was a bit inconsistent, but it certainly was a fun meal.
