Sandy does my manicures and Tina does my pedicures, and they are both amazing. The attention to detail is always on point, and they're so sweet and welcoming every time I come in. Sandy has the best sense of humor and always makes my appointments fun and relaxing. I also really appreciate that they always try to fit me in, even when they're busy. I wish I got pictures, but I was enjoying it all too much. I went with 3 of my girl friends and they were so sweet to make time to get us in for pedicures. We did make an appointment, which here on the island is important! We all loved Our service. We got the deluxe pedicure and it was great. The massage chairs relaxed my back while getting my feet worked on. The salon was clean and well maintained. The technicians were professional and kind. Update: Jeez, this place is amazing based on customer service alone. Jackie is so accommodating! I'm simple and got a mani (polish only) which came with hand and shoulder massage. I wanted to cry because I couldn't get an hour massage! (Jk but I would pay) I also got eyebrows, lip and chin waxed. So perfect! Jackie actually reshaped my eyebrows and I love them. Had a really nice experience here! I came in with no appointment but called ahead to see if they could take me, and they were able to fit me in. I got a gel removal and new gel manicure, which went smoothly. They have a great selection of polish colors, which I loved. At first, she started drilling to remove the old gel, but since my nails are sensitive, she switched to a soak-off, which I really appreciated. My nails turned out great, and the service was good overall. I believe the gel manicure was $40. Just a heads-up to bring cash for tips since they don't take them on credit cards! read more

This location was my go to salon for awhile until the service was consistently off. Sometimes I would get a great pedicure. Sometimes it would be meh. I kept getting an ingrown nail and was talking to the nail tech about it and he said this happens when the tech cuts the sides instead of just straight across. Since you really can't request the same person... I have tried you will not get consistent skilled service. Some were nice and some were rude. I have found another home salon and it's actually more reasonable, she does a great job every time, and if I make an appointment for a certain nail tech that's what I can expect. I wanted to write this review right away but thought I should wait to see how my gel manicure held up. It's been 3 weeks and they are fully in tact and nothing is lifting even a little bit. Usually after 3 weeks they start coming off, but Jacqueline did such an amazing job. First of all, everything is so convenient and easy here! Props to them for keeping up with the times. Texting to make an appointment is SO nice. It is my (and i assume a lot of people's!) preferred method of communication. Venmo to pay is also super convenient! (Cash for tip). Came back while I'm visiting my family and just had to come to Kailua Nails, my mom said it's the best pedicure she's ever had so I had to get a pedicure this time too. The foot massage was great and they fixed my nails after I had cut them wonky myself. Everyone is so nice and paki the dog is no exception :). I'll be honest I'm a simple gal. I don't like super fancy nails I like a crisp clean gel manicure and pedicure. And honestly sometimes I feel like I get subpar service from a lot of places because I'm not getting all the bells and whistles. But not here. Jacqueline is so meticulous with my nails every time. She takes her time making sure my shape is exactly how I want it, gets off all the dead skin, polishes everything to perfection. I leave this nail salon feeling so good and I swear I get compliments on my nails no matter where I go. The best part is my gel manicures last 4 weeks. I've never had them start to peel off or chip. You get your money's worth! Only issue I have is sometimes they don't answer the landline to book an appointment but there's a number to text to book so I do that now instead. read more

A family business worth checking out. Jacqueline is the sweetest lady who will make you feel at home. And if you have a nail design in mind, Sean is your man. He's got skills. If you know me, you know I love experimenting with different nail designs. Kailua Nails didn't disappoint. Due to COVID-19, they are currently open by appointments only. Simply give them a call. I was able to make an appointment for the next day after work. I received a gelish manicure with design and a regular pedicure for $76. It took about two hours and I was very happy with the results. I am really shocked. I was in kailua for lunch and thought I'd treat myself to a pedicure so I yelped some nail salons and came across this place. They had the 4.6 stars so I decided to try this place. I should've looked at the pics of pedicures. I'm not a huge fan. First of all I wanted a French pedi but it was looking chunky. I asked for a straight thin line. Couldn't accomplish that so I just told them paint the whole thing white. There was a guy doing my nails and it just kinda came off like he didn't know what he was doing. The lady had to give him a post it, with a drawing of French toe... how do you not know how to do a French tip is just odd to me. He was failing at it so the lady took over and I just wasn't happy with the way it looked I asked her to make it all white, she told me next time tell them in advance you wanted a thin white tip. I did... so that annoyed me. I don't know if there was some kind of miscommunication there. Even when she painted the whole thing white it was looking chunky and she painted over the cuticle which caused the lifted look and then on top of that the polish on my big toe was already peeling! It's only been 3 hours. I paid 55 dollars for this mess. I even asked them I wanted the shape to be a square/Sharp corners. They rounded it. It just felt like a cheap experience. read more

I've been living in the area for over 2 years now and struggled finding a great nail salon until I found this one recently. The customer service is unmatched! Jacqueline does my pedicures every time I go and she is such a professional. She truly cares about customer service and she goes above and beyond to make you feel relaxed. She is very personable. Wanted to get a manicure with Gel on my natural nails but didn't want to go just anywhere. I saw the reviews on Yelp for Kailua Nails - The Original Salon and gave them a call. I can't begin to say how AWESOME my experience was. They were friendly, had Covid safety measures in place and Ni who did my nails was fabulous. This place doesn't have any infection/ sterilization protocols first off. No clean autoclave envelopes, uses same equipment on everyone else. Files, nail cutters , cuticle clippers all used on others one after the next. My gels are lifting and they don't use gel primer so they lift on purpose so you come back earlier. You can put an overlay of acrylic over your nails. However, if you want thin almost close to natural nails, you should consider gel polish. They provide enough strength and better upkeep to maintain.

We booked two 90 minute massages with a 15 minute steam ahead of the massage. When we arrived they had us take off our shoes and gave us sandals to use, we also selected scents for the rooms and our tea preference. From there they showed us our rooms and had us change into robes before heading into the steam. While the space is too small for couples massages, we were able to go in the steam together and after we went into a room to drink our water/tea and relax ahead of the massage. Once they took us into the room the music was relaxing and they did a great job to ask where to focus and check in to make sure the pressure wasn't too much/too little. I had A LOT of tension in my back. While she was working on some problem areas I asked some questions about why it might be so tense/painful and it definitely was a mix of working out the pain to feel relief. The big takeaway was that I shouldn't go years between massages. After the massage we went back to the relaxation room and drank more water before heading out to pay. I felt so relaxed after the massage and would definitely recommend this business to others.
