A parking lot filled with food pop ups and souvenier/craft tables. Throughout the sidestreets was a paina with music and outdoor patio light seating/benches. Fun to walk at night by all the little stores and children running by. Lots of families, children and dogs. Just wish it was even bigger or with more vendors to elongate the night. Tonight we ventured out to celebrate Pride at the Kailua Night Market. What a fun event and a great Market in general. We enjoyed listening to live music as we checked out all of the vendors. There are a number of artists sharing their crafts, I was tempted by several nice jewlery options. There was a diverse selection of food vendors and I love that they promote waste-free, with reusable utensils. We all found something to eat and drink just in time to sit back and enjoy the show, and tonight it was a special show in honor of Pride. There were three fantastic Drag Queens lighting up the stage. They were fun, family-friendly and of course fabulous as only Drag Queens can be! The Kailua Night Market doesn't offer a drag show every month, but they do find unique, fun entertainment options and we are looking forward to seeing what they have in store next month! read more

Kailua Night Market - Celebrating Pride with these fabulous ladies. - Street Vendors Near Me - Kailua, Hawaii

For someone currently living in Kailua, I really don't venture out into Kailua town to mingle/dine/shop. This was the first time I had decided to check out what all the buzz was about for the Kailia Night Market. Obviously by me putting 3 stars I didn't like it as much as I had hoped or expected. I had thought it'd be more of a step up from the farmers market that happens every week in the longs parking lot, but there are a lot less vendors. Handful of food choices (all good of course) and then crafts and other various business (UFC gym, TMobile, were among the mainstream vendors. What really caught my curiosity was the Urban Art Battle. While I had no idea that it would take place over the course of 6 total battle events and this first battle was about 3 his long, it's still something to see these talented artists work live. What really got me down about the whole thing was that whomever coordinated the add in of the Urban Art Battle failed to do their due diligence about these artists using spray paint when there are houses with just a wall between the event. While the neighbor might seem like the villain to some that were there, I truly am sad that event coordinators overlooked this and thought that there'd be absolutely no problem. Spray paint always has overspray and with the wind today it would have easily made its way on to their property and likely their glass windows. They're entirely in their right to have asked that they stop from painting. I feel for the artists that wanted to use spray paint for their piece and then had to improvise after already starting. Of course it is a lesson learned and I mean to say this only to help ensure that no oversight like this happens again. It just brings the whole vibe down and no one wants that. Above all, nice addition to Kailua's weekend events. I hope that in the coming ones to follow improvements are made :) read more

To put on the Kailua Night Market the last weekend before Christmas and during COVID-19 must have been a mighty task, but the organizers did it. I got the notification on my Instagram feed and decided to check it out. Grabbed my face mask, hand sanitizer, reusable bags (for any possible purchases), and off I went. The Kailua Night Market is held at 340 Uluniu Street in Kailua. It is the covered parking lot next to Assagio's. There is street parking and a metered lot nearby. We were able to score street parking that night, so the walk wasn't far. The use of masks was enforced at the event. There was a good mixture of craft and food vendors. The big highlight for us was meeting Miss Candi Shell, the singing comedic QUEEN! She was dressed as Mrs. Claus and just as FABULOUS! I am unsure of future dates for the Kailua Night Market. I am not sure if it's due to covid, but this market is quite small. There were some cool fire performances but I think there were only around 10 to 12 vendors. We only spent around 30 minutes there. read more

New night life event in Kailua Town. Food vendors like Boba Tea, crepes, summer rolls, sushi, fried doughnuts and fried potato skin nachos. Lots of great nick nacks, crafts, handmade goods and great love music! Event is still premature, but it has a lot of potential to become a great tradition in Kailua Town! read more

Kailua Night Market - Street Vendors Near Me - Kailua, Hawaii

This is a great evening event for the Kailua community! Lots of fun art and interactive activities for the entire family and ono grinds!!

First time checking Kailua's Night Market and it was okay. It's not that big, there's just a few food trucks, vendor tables selling handmade jewelry, plants, roller skates, clothes, handmade bags, fun toys that light up for the kids, etc. I just missed a performance or some kind of show after parking down the street at one of the metered stalls (which is free on weekends after 6 PM). I didn't hear an announcement what time another performance would start. I saw droves of people leave after the performance I just missed. You can walk the whole thing in less than 5 minutes from one end to the other. There were big inflatables of teddy bears and emoji hearts decorating the grounds for Valentine's Day. People could just pop a squat on the cement ground or the little patch of grass fronting the street to enjoy whatever food bought there. It seemed family friendly and pet friendly since I saw a few dogs on leashes. Honestly, my visit was very short and there was nothing worth staying for there. Maybe if it was at a bigger venue with more stuff to see or more vendors to shop or a line-up of performances to be entertain us, it would have been a longer visit. read more
