The super gyro has so much yummy meat in it that the pita can hardly hold them, and the zucchini fries were crispy and not oily. It also comes with a couple really good tzatziki sauces. My wife really enjoyed the avgolemono (lemon and chicken) soup and greek salad. She was so pleased with the combo that she had to order an extra takeout combo for her friend to try. On top of all that, we finished our great meal with a baklava sundae; two fresh crispy baklava pastries with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with cinnamon and honey. Checked back in, and was given one of the orders that was sitting there since I entered the restaurant. I told the person working the counter that I was here when the order was right behind her the whole time and had to wait for 15 minutes without being notified at all. No sympathy or apology. I understand a busy restaurant is hard to work through, and I know the position the worker has been in. But if you are going to incorrectly tell a customer to wait, at least apologize and own up to it. Not sure exactly how the takeout system works, but if it's difficult to tell which orders are complete, there's probably something wrong with the system. The only reason this review isn't 3 stars is because the food was as delicious as I remember it, and thankfully it wasn't cold after I waited for no reason. That being said, I will be coming back for sure. It's hard to stay away from the souvlaki for long, and I'm glad to see that business is doing well. We came early to try some of the happy hour specials. Happy hour is 4:30 PM to 6 PM and includes pasta and appetizers which are 18% off. We tried several of the pastas, including the Uni carbonara, and the mushroom pasta. Appetizers included artichoke karrage and the Spanish grilled tako and entree steak and Frites. Food was good. I especially enjoyed the appetizers. Pasta is tasty, but not too exciting. The steak and fries were also good. Food came out pretty quickly and service was prompt and friendly. We did not stay for dessert, but had gelato next-door. Great place for dinner. Would definitely like to come back and try some of the other options.
