I dropped off my board with Gene, and he gave me a selling price that I agreed with, I signed up and registered with his system, where after selling the surfboard, he would electronically wire the money to me. Within one week, Gene was able to sell the board and wire me the proceeds. The service was excellent, and the process was easy. Most importantly, I was living in a small apartment and did not have the space to store 2 long boards. This way I drop off my board to Gene, and I didn't have to store my boards while trying to sell it myself. Highly recommend.

Super convenient surfboard rental for my visit to Waikiki. I opted to do a week long rental (5-7…read moredays) for $150. They have a variety of long and shortboards to choose from, with the option to switch out boards during your rental period. You can either store surfboards there at the shop, or take them back to your hotel, which I did. I borrowed a 9' torq board, and they gave me the option to take wheels along with me to help move the board from place to place. This was SUPER helpful and I'd really recommend it. They also gave us a bar of wax to use during the week! There was one incident where I surfed too close to a shallow reef and my fin came loose, I brought it back to the shop and they were able to fix it promptly.  Staff were also really knowledgeable about the surf spots in Waikiki and gave us tips on where to go based on our skill level. I'd gladly come here again!

Thought I would walk over just for the heck of it, sometimes when you roll the dice you win. I got there and the proprietor was letting in another lady and her daughter into the store. I told them I had tried calling, scheduling, and was having a really hard time getting in to BUY things. She told me I could not come in...."Appointment Only". Are you kidding me? DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!! - They have a great selection, but did not want to sell any of it ; )

SG has been my go to board shop for a few decades. Toru and the staff have always treated me like…read morefamily with kindness and respect. Their selection of boards can be magical! From the newest creations of shapers to their used board rack (where I have found some of my absolute favorite boards over the years) to the pieces of history and craftsmanship on the wood-board rack when you walk in - there is something for just about everyone! Plus, the place has a delightful feel to it. It's not trying to look like or be a corporate business. It feels like a friend made a place to share what he loves with me / you. It's always a pleasure to bring friends there and watch their eyes light up as they look around. Go! It's worth it to make some new friends who you'll possibly see in the water at a break nearby!

I've visited this official Snoopy themed shop (and the one in Haleiwa) during both of my latest…read moreOahu trips. As an avid Peanuts/Snoopy fan, both times I was so excited to visit and made a point of fitting it into the itinerary. However, the main reason it doesn't get five stars is because of the particularly high price point for what it is. Most items are priced higher than other similarly themed, small shops in Honolulu. For instance, some stickers here are in the $5.50 range instead of $3-$4 range. Basic thin canvas tote bags are about $40. It starts to feel like they're really taking advantage of fans and tourists and push a higher limit simply because "they can." The selection is really cute though, and items do sell out. So your options really depend on when you happen to visit. My first time in October 2023, both locations were all out of crossbody tote bags. This time around (February 2026), they were available in both locations. Many of the other items were the same both times, but there were maybe a few new designs. Also, this time around there were none available plushie keychains, which I neglected to purchase the first time around as they're over $20 each. This is just outside the Waikiki beachfront area, so not really easily walkable from there. Parking is street parking. You might have to loop around a couple of times, but it shouldn't take too long. Service here isn't particularly noteworthy, but efficient, especially given lots of tourists who visit, especially popular with Japanese.

It is on a corner with just a few parking spots on the side of the store. I parked across the street in the bakery parking lot, picked up some pastries and then walked across the street to the Snoopy shop. It is a small shop, lots of tourists so it is a bit crowded so a little difficult to navigate around the store. There are lots of cute merchandise, a bit pricey but fun things to buy. If you are a Snoopy fan, drop in and look at the variety of things to buy.

Went to a store at Alamoana today to get slippers. Not one…read morepressing greeted me when I went in. Three people walk right past me ... some grumpy woman who was building something on the wall... this other young boy looking at me like what are you doing in my store? While the whole time I'm trying to figure out the sizes and the straps for them make your own slippers. There was a bunch of sales people behind the register talking to who I found out was the regional manager. I was gonna talk to him about the service, but he looked grumpy as hell so I thought it wouldn't even make a difference if I talk to him. Finally the girl who rang me up got the right straps for my slippers put it all together and gave me the buy one get 1/2 off discount. But in all ... no aloha in that store. It could've been a mainland store. Sometimes I don't understand our local people who work in service oriented jobs ... No aloha. Mahalo, I will not be back.
