Hmmm. Shocker. 2.5/5 star average. The other reviewers are correct. The people do not want to be there. They look miserable. I had experienced what I perceived to be discrimination at this pharmacy in the past. I understand, Andre, as the supposed "manager" needs to take claims like mine seriously. He made me cry as I am a very sensitive anxious person and the follow up was WORSE than the actual discrimination itself. He was NOT discreet, he used a tone of voice and behavior that was domineering/aggressive and he embarrassed me in front of the other customers. I am actually, quite perplexed at the moment. I would have thought as a person of color himself, he would have more empathy with my experience. I know what I experienced. I know the looks I got. I stand by my comments. He did not use discretion, intimidated me and made me, the FUCKING victim feel like I was the perpetrator of a CRIME. I used to like him. I truly find myself disgusted by the follow up. I dont care how bad of a day youre having. I have worked in customer service many, many years. You dont approach a follow up with such hostility and lack of empathy. What sound manager approaches the alleged victim of discrimination in such a threatening and hostile manner. HE could tell I was uncomfortable and he kept pressing. I guess some people just snap after all the negative energy - I get it. The staff there seem miserable and I am in disbelief with how I was treated. Andre used possessive language and harbored the demeanor of a militant cop on a power trip. you DO NOT treat your customers like this. Un-FUCK-ing believable. I had more self control than he did. and hes like, 20 to 25 years my senior. I could and would be a better manager and understand you dont use hostile conduct like he did with such a sensitive issue/grievance as mine. As a manager, I would have been far more discreet and approachable. Yes, we are human and fallible - Andre CLEARLY did not act like a manager today. I empathize though. After working in an environment permeated with negativity and becomes the breeding grounds for a cesspool of toxic human interaction, I understand. I've always gotten good care at Kaiser. Most of my care has been at the Rock Creek office, but a few years ago my optometrist (Dr. Joel Winter) moved here, and I followed him. Dr. Winter is very methodical and careful, and always gives my retinas a thorough examination because I had tears in them way back in 2016. I have a lot of confidence in his work. The facility is more cozy than Rock Creek and easier to get to and get around in, although they only have a few specialties here. My wife's optometrist (Dr. Shealeen Panetta) is also here, so we visit the facility fairly frequently. The facility just finished a long remodel, which was messy, but it's all finished now and looks good. read more

My plan has a $20 doctor and $75 for a specialist. I went to see a Physical Therapist (Kaiser in network AT Kaiser) who I only went to after being recommended by the MD. The PT charged me with 2 different codes for the same appointment totaling $325~~~~~!!!! WTAF!~ If you Google average PT cost it is $150! AND why is a PT NOT A SPECIALIST?? This should be a $75 appointment!!! And at MOST a $150 appointment. WTAF Kaiser, aren't you supposed to be negotiating rates so I don't get screwed by 2x billing. I WOULD NEVER PAY $350 for a useless PT appointment where I was told to stretch my arms, given a $1 plastic band and a sheet of paper with stretches. FOR $350?????? WTAF Kaiser. You suck! read more

Hands down the best insurance I have ever had. I love my primary care physician and the rest of my healthcare team. Also the fact that everything is linked in one platform and I can do most of the tests in one place? I had anthem blue cross and blue shield through my job and I got Kaiser through my husband's job when I lost my job. I got another job with Anthem again but I decided to keep Kaiser because I like ot way better. read more

I came in with sharp back pain from falling on my back and my doctor just told me I had anxiety and a bad diet "like all female millennials" and I left so upset I never called to request a follow up appointment. I still have sharp localized pain and I take pain meds and wear a braise every day just to avoid going back! That Doctor needs to retire and take women's pain more seriously!! Also, Kaiser is terrible! I just felt like a number in the system... biggest waste of time and $30!! I had to be transferred over and over just to get my tests back... Run away from this place!!! read more

What a useless pharmacy team the Baseline Kaiser has. I am visiting from out of state, and my wife had to get a prescription called in from an out-of-state Kaiser provider. I get here and am told, oh no, we can't fill the prescription because you're not a local member. We explain that we were specifically told it would be easier to go to a CO Kaiser location than to go through an outside pharmacy, but the lady at the pharmacy cops a HUGE attitude and basically tells us she can't help, and that we need to be Colorado members to get the script -- which she hasn't even bothered to look for -- filled. I'm a physician, and I know how this system works. I am very much aware of how broken and stupid the system is. I know not all Kaisers are connected. I ALSO know that you can pick up the phone and problem-solve, you can troubleshoot, you can at least TRY to help your patients navigate the bullshit when they've already spent all morning doing just that. I know this because that's what I do every day at my job. Instead, I get this lady at the pharmacy who does none of that, categorically refuses to help, or to even lift a finger and make a freaking phone call. She could have at least tried, or looked into it. She could have at least not treated a sick person with a rude, condescending, and wholly obstructionist attitude that would never be tolerated in any other industry. Healthcare has two types of people: People who work to swim through the bullshit and help their patients, and people who use the bullshit to obstruct patient care and to avoid doing any hard work. The latter is what this woman at the Baseline Kaiser was, and she is Part Of The Problem. At the end of the day, maybe she was right -- maybe our prescribers from our local Kaiser were wrong -- I'll never know. But man, did she add to the misery of it all by the way she carried herself. Her attitude was not necessary, and her complete unwillingness to troubleshoot a problem was shocking in the healthcare setting, where troubleshooting is all we ever do. That type of reluctance to troubleshoot surely translates to very real problems for Kaiser Colorado patients too -- at least the ones who have to deal with this particular woman at the Baseline pharmacy. Patients deserve better than this. I know what's possible in healthcare, even in a broken system. Guess what... This ain't it. read more

As someone who has relied on Kaiser for all my medical care for well over 30 years, I am very surprised at the negative reviews on Yelp. I and my wife are extremely happy with the care we've received over the years. That includes their surgical services, doctors, physician's assistants, nurses, pharmacy, lab, imaging, mental health services and physical therapy. From my experience over the years, I'd rate it 95 out of 100. read more

I would give this Kaiser Permanente location 1 star, but I have to give it an extra star because the people there are generally pretty good (Bryan Meyer, my primary care physician, is actually great) -- The problem is that the KP model doesn't work in (sparsely populated) Colorado the way it works in (densely populated) California. First of all, this place is closed on weekends, the next closest office (Layayette) is also closed on weekends, so if you live in Boulder/Longmont you have to drive out to Westminster or Lakewood if you need medical attention on a weekend, or else, go to an non KP urgent care/ER and pay through the nose. Second, this place (as well as Lafayette) closes at 6PM -- Essentially the same complain as #1, but worth pointing out, in case you happen to need medical attention between the hours of 6PM and 8AM (when they open the next morning). Third, this place does not have an MRI. As an athlete, this kind of sucks since most of my injuries tend to be soft-tissue related. Last, I am a single-payer on a high deductible plan that, as of January 2018, costs $484.55/month. Last year it was about $385/month -- Wow, over a 25% single year increase for the same crappy/extremely limited care. Should've switched heath insurance carriers during open enrollment -- Could be better, could be worse, but worth taking the chance it could be better. read more

I begin by clarifing that my poor rating of Kaiser is of the telephone communication center. My son has had and continues to have excellent, professional medical care at two Kaiser facilities. But for several months it is impossible to get assistance from the communication center because the wait time on hold is greater than 1 hour. This is not an isolated incident. Most recently I was holding for over one hour. My call was then directed to the scheduling department in error. The woman at that department attempted to transfer the call but after waiting for another 70 minutes, I gave up. Two hours of a wait for anything leaves one with the message that their needs are of little concern to the business. I find this type of service intolerable and expecially egregious given that it is representative of a health care facility. One telephone number for several Kaiser Permanante campuses is of no use to those without access to a computer and one must wonder how many staff members are assigned to take care of the many calls seeking non emergent solutions that must come in. I had a telephone visit with a PT provider here. He was extremely unprofessional. I had to go to PT because I had a sports injury on my leg and the PT starting talking to me about "clenching the vagina muscles". I am grateful I did not have a chance to meet this provider. I am appalled by this experience. This experience has made me question the quality of providers Kaiser hires. read more

I signed up for Kaiser Senior Advantage and normally go to the Baseline Office. I've never had better care and I have gone to many doctors over the years in various cities and states. At Baseline everyone is happy, I can often get a same day appointment, the time I spend in the waiting room is minimal, and my visits aren't rushed. read more

i wish there was a 'negative' star! my daughter had a physical therapy appointment today (5/29/19), and guess what, the person did not touch her at all -- they simply did the dry needling procedure (a 30 minute appointment that they only spent 15 minutes with her) and sent her on her way (leaving her crying in pain in her car). they did not listen to what she had to say when she said other places hurt on her back - they blamed it on her saying she had bad posture -- they don't care! whenever i see a kaiser commercial and they make it seem like they care -- they don't al all! read more

My husband and I have Power of Attorney for one of our old employees who's wife passed away several years ago and has Alzheimer's Disease. When we first started taking care of him, he had Kaiser and his Physician was Dr Lookner at this office. My first encounter with Dr. Lookner was when I requested that we try Aracept for this gentleman to see if we could delay the progression of the disease. His response was, "we don't believe all our patients deserve those expensive drugs". This is their "5 star care". We have since changed his supplemental insurance. read more

Baseline Medical Offices is a Colorado Kaiser Permanente Facility. I have had great care through Colorado Kaiser at various times over the years and generally good care at other times. My current experiences at Baseline Primary Care have been a huge disappointment. The Baseline Medical Offices is in a nice, modern facility. But Radiology, Lab, and Pharmacy are cramped together with no real divider between where patients sit and where patients have their private conversations with employees. The employees' voices carry sufficiently for medical information to be available to patients and families in the waiting area. The upper floors have large sunny waiting rooms for the clinics. I went to the clinic one day for a straight forward problem. It was handled quickly and cheerfully. But the dynamic for obtaining thoughtful diagnostic evaluation for a more expensive or complex medical issue is exhausting and can be demeaning. Regular appointments to primary care doctors are scheduled for 10 minutes. The Primary Care at Baseline uses the kp.org email system which seems like a great idea to keep doctors available to the patients. The doctors use it to report labs and to speak to patients without the use of an office appointment. It's a great idea if doctors have adequate time to think. It's possible it is piling too much on a doctors who are answering emails while trying to see too many patients in the office. My doctor sent an email one day that said I had an abnormal kidney lab. She directed me to stay hydrated, avoid anti-inflammatory medicines and avoid the supplement Creatine. She said we'd keep track of this to make sure it didn't get any worse. That sounds nice and efficient, but the doc didn't remember me or check my medication lists. Some medicines damage kidneys and these are always stopped or switched or at least discussed at the first sign of declining kidney function. I had to tell the doctor I needed to stop this medicine. I went to the clinic to see my Primary Care Doctor who is an Internist and possibly not trained to evaluate issues involving the nerve roots of the lumbar spine. I had back pain, and pain and tingling in both legs along with possible muscle wasting. Before coming in, I had seen my physical therapist who has treated me for herniated disk in the past with very good result. The symptoms this time were different and my physical therapist needed an MRI to make sure I didn't have a large bilateral bulging disk or spinal stenosis compressing nerve roots before she would begin treating me. I explained all this to my Primary Care doctor. My primary care doctor did not examine me. She ordered lumbar XRays. I pointed out that an XRay would be of no use. As hopefully all physicians knows lumbar XRay's see bones well but they don't visualize disks, and nerve roots. My doc offered no rationale for ordering the XRay instead of the MRI. That was the end of the discussion. I went and got the Xray. Looking back I realize it was not very bright of me to actually get the XRay she ordered. It was uncomfortable because I was having back pain. I paid a copay for these XRays. They do give a small dose of radiation. I think I went ahead and got it because it looked like that was what was required for me to get further care thru Kaiser. That's not a healthy physician-patient dynamic in action. The dynamic has not improved as I have been trying to get more care. With Kaiser in Colorado, almost everything happens through the Primary Care Doctor. She's personable but she still has not run a very basic blood test and denied 2 referrals when I have tried to go around her. I changed primary care doctors by calling Kaiser customer service. The new doc is in a terrible rush when I have seen her. This limits good communication and limits the quality of the health care. I rate Kaiser Baseline Offices 2 stars for not providing adequate evaluation and for obstructing me from getting referrals. Note: Any comments I have made refer only to the Colorado Kaiser. Dear Pharmacy staff at Baseline, I just want to say I see you (at least a couple times a month). I see you working hard to get us medications as quickly yet safely as possible. I see you getting literally yelled at because "we" don't feel well, or things aren't the way "we" believe they should be or FORBID something that is completely out of your control comes along. I ask you don't take the ones who raise their voice at you or give you grief to heart. Keep smiling and doing what you have always done. There are plenty of us who see you and what you do when "we" sometimes don't take responsibility for ourselves or our actions. Thank you for many times going above and beyond in the back where "we" have no idea (and want no idea) of what goes on. Thank you to Kaiser for having KP.org where I can contact my doctor or their staff so easily. I LOVE being able to chat (from 8 AM up until 10 PM 7 days a week) with a doctor and get advice quickly. I love being able to order my medications to have filled at the pharmacy OR have them mailed to me. I have filled my prescriptions 5 days early with no problems. I love that if I need a refill on my medications it will be taken care of for me when I give adequite time to do so. I love that I am in control of the outcome and that I don't need to depend on a staff person to do something I can do (and know it will be done). read more

I'm so incredibly disappointed in Kaiser Permente right now. I've been without health insurance for 6 months and haven't been able to get my prescriptions, including Adderall for my ADHD. It's been a huge problem for me to focus and get work done as a freelance web developer. I was so excited to finally have insurance again through my wife. Then they told me to get an Adderall prescription I need to take a drug test!!! Since I have smoked recreational marijuana (legal in CO) in the last 30 days I can't get the medication I need to function. And once I get drug tested a month from now I'll still be randomly drug screened as long as I'm prescribed Adderall. I went to a P.T. in her mid-30's, I think her name was Pam, who I was referred to after seeing my PCP in Longmont, CO. I was about 51 at the time and having neck problems from work. I worked 12 hr. shifts at a two level work station that had me looking up all the time and reaching up to use the keyboard. My hands were starting to go numb and I was experiencing neck pain. She was rude to the point of almost calling me a work comp cheat because the injury started when I was working at IBM with outdated workstations. Her take is that old people start to dry up and are basically not worth her time and don't deserve care to relieve their distress/pain. All she was really interested in doing was putting me on some neck/head pulling machine and that was it. All she really wanted to do was B.S. with her friends about Denali, AK. When they discovered it was work comp related, they kicked me out and said go to your employer's insurance paid doctor. Well, that's what I did and after a year of that, I ended up having a 3 level cervical discectomy surgery which fused 3 of my vertebrae. Kaiser Colorado is a joke. If I ever met this person on the street I'd b*tch slap the h*ll out of her. read more
