I normally don't write reviews but I feel this is extremely necessary…read more I recently went in for a scheduled c section at Modesto L&D on July 10. Firstly, the nurses are so sweet, so attentive, and made me feel so welcomed. I'm saying this from someone who did unfortunately have a traumatic c section experience (not the doctors fault, just circumstances). Although all the nurses were amazing I would like to recognize two amazing nurses who really made me feel seen and advocated for me, Nurse Jackie and Nurse Tabitha ( I hope that's how I spell their names). I will definitely always remember them and we're definitely the highlight of my experience. I'd hopefully like to nominate them for a daisy award. I'd also like to give a shout out to how clean the facility felt even the bathrooms.. I didn't have that same experience with my last delivery at another location .The food was decent, I wasn't really hungry during my visit but according to my vistors who did try the food they said it was pretty good. Overall I rate my experience 10/10. Thank you Kaiser Modesto L&D for turning this traumatic birth experience into something that ended up being amazing.

I told the lady, Stephanie, that is long wait since I've been struggling to breathe. This rude, inconsiderate lady has the nerve to say "that is more legwork for me" and to say "that's a pretty quick appointment". I have been struggling to breathe, and I've been waking up at 4 am struggling to grasp for air. This inconsiderate lady told me some real BS about "breathing from my mouth" and that it is "survival mode". To end it off, she also said, "There's always the emergency room." This life-threatening medical condition causes my nose to be inflamed; no type of breathing mask will help me breathe better. Please improve your bedside manner with your patients; this is completely unacceptable.

The office has gotten better recently. At first, it took up to an hour on hold to leave a message. Calls are returned by a nurse. One particular nurse has been consistently rude, condescending and not helpful. I hung up on her once after telling her she wasn't helpful. She called back and still wouldn't help. I asked to speak with Elizabeth directly. She called and took care of my refill request. The hold times have been much better lately. I heard one staff talking to another recently, talking about "You know how our patients are!" I was offended, maybe because I'm not the typical Medí-cal patient, but didn't say anything. Most staff are friendly. It would really help if there was a way to communicate electronically between appointments to ask questions and provide updates. I see mostly negative reviews of this clinic and my FNP. I'm basically satisfied with my care. Wasn't sure at first about Elizabeth, but I've come to appreciate her.

While I often struggle to remember names, I won't forget the warmth of that those two ladies She not only allowed me to charge my phone but also offered me some candy, which felt like a small but meaningful gesture in my time of emotional turmoil. Since my mother passed away in December, I've been navigating a sea of emotions, and the compassion I found here truly made a difference. The instructor was equally delightful and injected humor into the atmosphere. Though I'm again at a loss for names, her cheerful demeanor and ability to connect with everyone made the experience enjoyable. She dedicated time to help each person, making sure that if anyone was confused about a question, they would have the guidance they needed. Her storytelling sprinkled throughout the lessons added a personal touch, making the entire experience not just educational but also engaging. Overall, it was a wonderfully positive experience. Everyone was kind, informative, patient, and genuinely caring. I had never been to this hospital so I wasn't sure what to expect but they took the time to answer my questions, explained everything clearly, and made me feel very comfortable every step of the way. Having surgery is stressful, but the entire team made the experience as smooth and positive as possible. I am so grateful for the excellent care I received and truly appreciate the compassion and professionalism shown by everyone involved. Wonderful hospital and an outstanding staff. Thank you for taking such great care of me!

How to recommend a place that still has bias in treatment & care?…read more How ethically send any human to a place they is do demented, they make no effort to hide there disgust for patients? I sat in "Fast Trac" and listened to a RN bragging about how she takes revenge on patients that seem disrespectful. "I make them wait (continue to suffer). Hours, I don't care. I will even walk them back to the lobby & leave them there.." Laughter rang-out. My personal experience was nothing short of Intensional torture. 1. I entered the ER and told registration what I had and why the condition could not be treated at home. As nice as she was...the chief complaint was NOT documented. 2. My blood sugar was not taken. 3. I reported that I suspect a "felon" existed due to pressure from swelling. Ignored or forgotten. 4. Nerve block at the palm ridge. Assuring partial numbing. I stated: I can feel everything in the area you are about to make the incision. Dr. reply "Yes". 5. Dr. without closely examining the digit and moving into the patient cube says: "Poke um" to a bewildered scared resident...who did not know the procedure. 6. The young doctor sliced "the top" my finger straight down and deep. (Wrong. Incision must be between skin and nail. But thank God.) I experienced every bit of that pain. I screamed "I told you it was not numb?!!!". Dr. Replied the intern: "Yes?" Straight out of "The Human Centipede" movie. 7. No more anesthetic given. The intern squeezed the deep wound. I vaulted back in pain. That was it. Infection left in my finger. Dr. Says... "You, will need to squeeze more out yourself (huge no-no! Warm water therapy only!)." 8. Wound wrapped in thin cotton mesh. No pressure bandaging to move infection out. Flesh stuck to cotton...as intended. 9. I was sent home with...a quarter roll of the cotton mesh an...a good luck. I was prescribed the wrong oral antibiotic. Results? Path of least resistance. My body fat shot out my finger onto a wall due to severe swelling) pressure...caused by the too deep improper incision. My body tissue blocked the exit for the infection, causing it to push around the finger into the pad. Pure torture as intended. Capillaries burst...red dots looked like carpet bombing photos. Lagoons of infection appeared in my thumb pad. The pain made me tremble. Even laugh while crying. The joint seized/locked. Pressure/pain on the thumb nerve radiated to the palm and other digits. Warm water therapy made liquid pad intrusion worse. Memorial Hospital corrected what damage they could. I lost work. Possibly a long term job assignment. I endured indescribable pain. My incident is not a 1 off or rare event. At night the devil comes out to play in that house of horrors. Impossible to improve, as that hospital is full of legacy hires. Evil continues.
