This review is for Dr. Kush Charul Shah I had a very disappointing experience with this physician and would not recommend him, especially to women seeking care. From the beginning, the appointment felt rushed. He asked very few questions about my symptoms or medical history and didn't seem interested in understanding why I was there. Instead of having a conversation, he appeared eager to move on to the next patient. The most concerning part of the visit was when I brought up a medication that another physician had already discussed prescribing for me. He repeatedly stated that it was "only for men" and that it's not part of his practice to prescribe it to women. He did not explain why, or even discuss the evidence, or offer any alternative treatment options. After I asked for clarity since he seemed to have his mind made up before even a real discussion and told me to drink water? I left feeling dismissed rather than cared for. At one point, he even had to Google the condition or medication we were discussing, which did not inspire confidence. Rather than helping me find a covered treatment through Kaiser, his only suggestion was to look into a cosmetic treatment that would be an out-of-pocket expense. What bothered me most was that I never felt heard. He didn't ask follow-up questions, didn't explore my concerns, and didn't take the time to understand my health history. Now I have to schedule another appointment with a different physician and start the entire process over again. Every patient deserves to feel listened to and included in decisions about their care. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I left feeling discouraged and unsupported. This has not been my experience with other physicians at this location but I think it's important as a woman to know that maybe this dr. Has biases that can affect the accuracy and effectiveness of our treatment. He is a new dr at this location and I think it's important to have honest feedback when it comes to people's health. And to be clear I don't need the doctor to agree to prescribing a medication I need someone willing to evaluate whether I'm specifically a good candidate and explain the reasoning either way. I had a good experience. This was my first time going to the La Palma location. It seems like a small building, but they have a lot of services here. I came for my eye exam. I was long overdue since it had been over 2 years since my last exam. My appointment is with ELIZABETH KANG CHUNG OD, O.D. She was very sweet, kind and knowledgeable. I got my prescription and went over to the area where they sell glasses. Very pleasant experience with this doctor. :) read more

Flu shot season now. Walk in basis from Monday thru Friday 830 to 5 pm. Vaccines available for Kaiser insured patients. I also needs the pneumonia vaccine and received it today. Nurses at the kiosk are trying their best to be efficient and friendly. Glad I timed it later in the day so no lines. read more

The xray depart at this location is a joke , waiting for over a hr, just for the technician to say we are closing in 2 minutes come back tomorrow, he just walked away after announcing. Spoke to upper management which she also said theirs nothing that can be done just come back tomorrow they don't care about people's time or well being. read more

I loved my experience here because everyone was polite and understanding, from my optometrist to the optician. The only thing I wish Kaiser offered was LASIK because that's the one surgery I want done in the near future. Dr. Chung and Sheila were super informative and answered all of my questions thoroughly. It was my first time ordering prescription glasses via their optical center. The price was discounted due to Medi-Cal, so it ended up being cheaper than what I've paid for at Walmart. Most of the employees are always friendly and approachable. It's definitely one of the better visits I've had. I was also able to get my PD measured. One little thing though was that it took about 17 minutes after my appointment time to be seen, so make sure to keep yourself occupied. ^^ It can be confusing because they have two waiting rooms and I didn't see my doctors name on either. The directions need to be more clear. Other than that I have no complaints and look forward to my next exam. read more

Kaiser Permanente treated me always with care and respect while I was under their care as a child. For eleven years, they gave me the best of care. This is a great office here. The only thing is I wish they could add more handicap parking spaces because it's always full and at times with my disability I have to park out by the hotel where members can park and make my way up to the front to check in. So please plenty of open spaces all the way in the back and not enough in the front or middle of the parking lot. read more

I came here because I had a video appointment with one of the doctors here and my usual doctor didn't have an available appointment for my follow up visit. However, Dr. Wasim was cool and attentive, so I decided to do my follow up here. Located right off the 91 freeway and Orangethorpe on Valley View, this Kaiser clinic location has ample parking and is easy to get to. The building, itself, looks newish on the outside, but is dated on the inside. Lots of dark wood doors and beige paint. Everything is compartmentalized and the flow is just confusing. Maybe I'm just spoiled since my home clinic is the La Habra office which is one of their newest locations. That one is open and airy with greys and light colors, unlike this place. However, the medical staff is excellent and polite and friendly. The pharmacy staff is likewise, and they try to get you out as quickly as possible. During my visit I got another follow up appointment scheduled before I left as well as a specialty consult. While I won't make this my primary clinic based on the distance, I will gladly drive here, if needed. In fact, I'm scheduled next week. read more

My doctor is at this location. Lines are not really long like other KP Clinics/Medical Office, plus checking in is very fast and efficient. I come here for all my medical needs: doctors, pharmacy, and lab work. Highly recommend this KP Medical Office. read more

Do not try and get an appointment here. I have tried to get an appointment multiple times and there is never any availability within the next couple of days or week. I have to go to urgent care every time. I was able to get an appointment for my daughter at this location but not with her PCP. I had to ask for any available Dr. and that Dr was great but not the one I chose. I just had a small surgical procedure last night in the ER and they told me to see my PCP in 2 days for a follow up. I just got a call to schedule something and the earliest they had was 11 days away. When I mentioned the 2 day follow up I was told "yeah we don't have anything for that time". Not sure why I was even asked to choose a PCP I have NEVER seen them. I know there are times where healthcare is overworked but stop accepting new patients if you can't see them in a timely manner. The response is always here are the 3 urgent care centers you can go to. None of which are very close to me. Kaiser in other locations is better but my experience with this location has been horrible. read more

Navigating the call system is difficult. So often there is miscommunication between staff from one shift to the next. Apparently no interdepartmental communication. This is the Kaiser clinic closest to my office. This makes it very convenient as it is also off the main street. The parking lot is pretty long so you may have to walk quite a bit. The pharmacy is conveniently located on the first floor as you are about to enter the clinic. The laboratory is also located on the first floor for easier access. read more

This is a nice Kaiser facility. The pharmacy is quick and they manage the appointments well. I have not had any terribly long waits to see my physician. I took a 6 year hiatus from Kaiser (my employer's choice, not mine) and I'm glad to be back. read more

I went on Friday, Feb. 3. I was expecting fresh, organic fruits and vegetables... not to be had here. There were two fruit & veggie vendors, neither one were organic and the selection was sparse. One vendor was selling nothing but oranges; the other had a small selection of winter crops - cauliflower, carrots, etc. The other 8-10 vendors were selling prepared foods - jerky, kettle corn, flavored nuts, prepared salsa and guacamole, bread, etc. They even had a food vendor setting up to cook fresh, plated food. Not really a "farmer's market" in my mind, but maybe time have changed. read more
