Myself and husband have been sick the past week. Finally made him an appointment at an Urgent Care through his Optum insurance at Marque Medical today. We figured get him seen then will go to a Memorial Urgent Care for me since I normally go to Long Beach Memorial Urgent Cares. Well to my surprise the lovely receptionist seen I was sick too she when out her way to see if I could be seen with my insurance and thankfully I was able too get medical help to! From the moment we arrived the lovely reception at the front desk was warm and welcoming and friendly. I can't remember her name but it should be on mine and my husband Kenneth's intake. Sherri was helpful and knowledgeable and had outstanding customer service and went out her to help me personally. Sherri should be applauded for outstanding service and the rest of the staff was excellent. They made us feel welcome and heard from the beginning and we definitely appreciate it thank you to everyone for taking care of me and my husband today! read more

i was about to go to a diff urgent care but my daughter insisted I go to Marque instead because she had a great experience there. It was further than the other one but we went w her recommendation. I'm so glad I did! You can make an appointment ahead of time but i was a walk in. The only difference was that I had to fill out the paperwork once I got there. There was no one else ahead of me so I was called back as soon as I was done. The nurse, Mearia Chattas, was the same nurse who saw my daughter before. She's part of the reason why this is my daughter's favorite urgent care! I know that Urgent Cares aren't usually on a list of favorites. But, now it's mine too. We considered going to an ER but i knew the cost and wait would be much more. All the staff members we interacted with were great! I was treated with such kindness and respect. Mearia, the nurse, and Andy Nguyen, the PA, really took extra steps to not cause more pain to my injury whereas I could see somewhere else handling me rougher. If you're ever in need of urgent care, I can't recommend Marque enough. And there's lots of parking and a yummy kbbq spot in the same area so you can treat yourself afterwards. read more

Hands down the best urgent care I have ever been at. Thanks for making my experience easy as possible. First off, I called and left a message for them to call me back. I immediately got a call back. That's the first! The girl at the front desk greeted me when I came in and remembered my name from the phone call about 30 minutes esrlier. She was very professional and nice. She already had everything ready to go for me and told me to just finish up the paperwork sent to my phone thru text that took a few minutes. They put me into a room for vitals I'd say about 10 minutes after walking thru the door. After getting in that room, a girl was immediately in taking my vitals. She was super nice, got all the information she needed, including taking my vitals and seeing what I was there for. She then sent me to another room to see the provider. Again, shortly after getting into that room I was was seen by the provider. Again, super friendly and asking all types of questions to make sure I was diagnosed correctly. She went over what I was in there for, figured out what would help, let me know the prescriptions she was calling in and where to. Even told me some over the counter stuff that may help. After that, I was on my way. They asked if I needed any paperwork and to call if I had any issues. Anyone that had problems with this place I'm not sure what happened but this was a dream experience compared to any other urgent care experience in the past. Thanks to the entire team there! I can't recommend this urgent care facility enough. We've needed to come here for a variety of issues ranging from typical urgent care issues to even a dislocated toe (which was quickly fixed) and even x rays for a broken hand. The entire staff is so friendly and professional and knowledgeable. I appreciate them so much and usually get seen so quickly, even for a walk in. They are fantastic. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went in today for a laceration on my hand that required stitches. I was told they weren't taking anymore walk-ins for the day. It was 12:20pm. There were NO people sitting in the waiting room and no cars in the parking lot adjacent to the building. The woman who was so-called "screening" me gave ZERO SHITS about anything I had to say and merely suggested I go to another urgent care somewhere on Valley View (without telling me exactly where to go). I explained that my insurance company called them before I left my home to make sure they were open and able to see me. She was dismissive and said, "well I don't know who they talked to, but we're not taking anymore people". Incidentally I'm also tryin to get over the flu and was ALONE. I would NEVER recommend this place to even my enemies. This place sucks. Skip it and go to the ER. read more

I saw them 3 days ago, bickered a week to get them to submit a referral right. Even with insurance instructions still didnt, but the bickering IS HOrRiBbLE! the doctor wrote in her notes she is submitted a referral to insurance, when following up the staff Eric next day confirmed it was submitted... Today still not done so they had me bickering for over an hour, Meara extremely rude and condescending repeating things when asking her to just transfer me to a supervisor... When Vanessa got on the phone she was very rude and said she is immediately transferred me to her supervisor and when she comes back because she's not available and I'm explaining that these girls at the office have me bickering for an hour instead of transferred me to a supervisor she gets immediately very hot headed defensive that she wasn't available!!! So mean!!! well first of all why does she work in health care at all? that is the complete opposite way of treating people in the healthcare industry and secondly there could have been a call back option instead of having me heated like a volcano over here for literally one hour before finally offering to fax Over the referral. They're saying they usually don't submit referrals. Well, yes, I understand that, but the doctor also explicitly wrote that I understood that the day I saw the doctor and it may be rejected by insurance, but lets not play psychic about what the insurance company might do, everybody keeps saying, sometimes it doesn't get approved. I've brought both my kids here to see the CHOC pediatrician. I've seen 2 different pediatricians and both were great! Make an appointment online. I also had to go here for myself due to shortness of breathe. Doctor said normally he would do an x-ray, but there is not an x-ray technologist on staff every day. So if you want an x-ray, call ahead to make sure someone is working who can do it. I was given a referral and told I could only use the referral at another Marque location, which isn't true. Referrals can be taken anywhere. Even with an appointment, still can take approx 1 hour to see doctor. Very clean facility. Professional staff and doctors. Tons of parking. read more

Just had a very disturbing experience here. Been here before with Mom getting meds for chest cold. The gals were kind. Was here for myself a while back & horrible treatment from a male associate (nurse/tech?). Today,in due to severe asthma & inhalers not working. Im struggling to breathe, clear to everyone in the lobby,I'm having a severe attack,& the tech asks if I have an appt? Unable to speak fluidly cuz Im GASPING FOR AIR,I said no. He says what am I in for. I said it's urgent care,didn't know abt appointments, but Ive been in before. Said my inhalers aren't working,& his reply is we don't have inhalers here. I wasn't looking for inhalers,I thought it would be obvious I need a nebulizer. He made a point to mansplain this. Then he looks back to his monitor & says it's a 2-2.5 hour wait ,& continues typing away & looking elsewhere. I was kind of shocked...I'm barely able to breathe,gasping for air,& they can't get a nebulizer or oxygen? So a person is supposed to struggle,gasping for 2 hrs for air ,waiting? And his uncaring,nonchalant tone & attitude reminded me...this is THAT guy from way back. I said waiting 2+ hours for help breathing isn't good. His reply,"Want me to call 911 for you?" Im thinking,Im at an Urgent Care facility & this guy can't provide the nebulizer ,which no one is using or he would have said so,I'm sure. Certain conditions can wait,others such as needing open airway,can't. A female tech kindly offered other locations to go to. I knew I could look them up,so gave my thanks,& left. I'm headed to what hopefully will be not only well trained staff,but kind & a desire to be actually helpful. Hit & miss with this place. The worst urgent care. Unprofessional. Waiting for 2 hours and left with anger. Wanted to check out my knees, and they insist that I have to have worker comp information to be able to treat me. They rejected to treat me. Even though I have my own insurance. This is against the law for rejecting emergency medical care. I will report this agency to the state and federal as well. read more

Everyone is Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, so kind and take their time and it's obvious they care! I've never had a better experience and will recommend this urgent care forever. Once I was bleeding from my tonsils and the doctor said "I don't know what to do" to an already worried patient. Today walking in with what feels like an ear infection with horrible pain, the doctor was rough with my ear and when I physically reacted he said "What what's wrong with you" Unbelievable. I don't usually leave reviews, but my experience at this urgent care was concerning enough that I feel it needs to be shared. I was in the exam room with my daughter, and we could clearly hear a group of around three men near the front desk area having a loud, extremely inappropriate conversation. One of them mentioned "eating ass," and they were also talking openly about "big titties." This kind of talk is completely unprofessional and disgusting--especially in a healthcare setting where patients and children are present. What made it even more uncomfortable is that there were female staff members working up front as well. I can't imagine how they must have felt being subjected to that kind of behavior in their workplace. No one should have to tolerate that, especially in a professional medical environment. While the medical care itself was okay, this experience left me feeling incredibly uneasy. I sincerely hope management takes this seriously and addresses the issue. For my SECOND followup visit I give them ZERO STARS!!!!!! I made an appt for July 20th (Saturday) at 10:15am. My name was called at 10:25am and I was taken to Room#1. The woman didn't say her name, took my BP & Temp and didn't share the info with me. I explained to her why I was there and what happened!! After she finished her paperwork she took me to Room#6 and I waited for 25 minutes for a doctor, had to use bathroom and while walking to it I saw the woman who took my info and mentioned to her that I have been waiting for 25 minutes and asked how much longer it was going to take (I assumed she would check with someone-NOPE) she just looked at me! After the bathroom I went back to the room and waited another 5 minutes for the doctor, the room was very cold so I decided "F%^* this" and left to go to the lobby, saw the woman that took my INFO at the desk and I said looking directly at her "I have been waiting in that room for 30 minutes" and I'm done!!! It really ANNOYED me that SHE DIDN'T EVEN CHECK HOW MUCH LONGER IT WOULD BE, APOLOGIZE FOR THE WAIT OR OFFER AN EXPLANATION why the wait time was so long!!! My initial visit ( was a WALK-IN ) on a Saturday between 10&10:15am, waited about 15 minutes to be called and 20 minutes later I was DONE (Vitals, doctors exam, butt shot, scrips for Antibiotics) I made an appt for FIRST FOLLOWUP and that visit was 5+ Stars!!! Luckily we have another Urgent Care a couple blocks from them!! Since No one from that location bothered to followup with me as to why I left!! Bye!!! read more

This place is absolutely horrible! The first doctor that I saw months ago had no bed side manners and was extremely obnoxious. Second time I was here I had an appointment and they put me in a room for over 2 hours. I kept asking them have you forgotten about me? Doctor comes in and 2 mins later she was done. Took about 3 weeks to make an appointment for an ultrasound. I called and asked about my results 2 times no call back. My agency called me and said I need to come back for a check up. I made an appointment waited for 1 hour and 31 minutes just for the doctor to come in and tell me I'm being discharged didn't even give me my results. I only came here because it was a work related injury. Do not come here if you need medical help. read more

UPDATE 3/25/2025: Zero contact from Marque after initial call. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. They prescribe opioids to patients who don't need it nor asked for it, then deny and make excuses. I am so frustrated. 2/25/2025 UPDATE: I got a call from a Marque representative 2/24 after I posted my original review. Instead of asking me for an account of events, she started the call by stating that Nathan Kisklia is one of the best doctors they have and that she can't imagine how anything unusual would have happened. I gave her an account of the appointment. The next few things she said were, that she thinks Kiskila felt that instead the Toradol that my husband requested specifically, she thinks Kiskila probably felt that my husband needed something stronger (a narcotic), that Kiskila probably meant well. I rebutted that there was no mention by Kiskila that he decided to prescribe something other than what was to be a refill of an ibuprofen based anti-inflammatory NOT a highly addictive OPIOID / NARCOTIC. She repeated, she thinks Kiskila probably just wanted to give my husband a little bit more pain relief. I told her there is a huge difference between ibuprofen and a narcotic! There is not a grey area. Tramadol is a controlled substance. AND WE DIDN'T ASK FOR IT. The representative even told me that Kiskila realized it was an error and called the pharmacy to correct the meds to Toradol not knowing that it was I who called Marque immediately once I learned about the wrong prescription and had them fix it. I had to repeatedly ask her to stop making assumptions and excuses, to distract from Kiskila's negligence. Once she realized that I wasn't going to let her water down an incident that could have been a tragic, she started to apologize and said she would report everything I told her. This representative did a HUGE disservice to her own company and showed how unprofessional, dismissive and flippant they are towards the public they serve. Once again this error could have cost a life and ruined others and they tried to brush it off and make it go away. Marque - do not have a rep call and make assumptions of what Kiskila was thinking or claim his intensions are pure or virtuous. It was a blatant neglect. Period. 2/24/2025 If I could do zero stars, I would. First, please note that the front desk and assistants are great. Courteous and helpful. But here's the rest of the review. My husband went back to MARQUE URGENT CARE to get a refill for TORADOL which is an NSAID/IBUPROFEN. Instead of prescribing TORADOL , which is what we specifically asked for by name AND is in the records as what was prescribed by a physician's assistant on the previous visit, NATHAN KISKILA, MD, who is apparently the PRESIDENT of MARQUE URGENT CARE sent the pharmacy a prescription for TRAMADOL. TRAMADOL is an OPIATE / NARCOTIC. This is the first result they popped up when I learned that it was the wrong medication and searched it online. "Controlled substance - High risk for addiction and dependence. Can cause respiratory distress and death when taken in high doses or when combined with other substances, especially alcohol or other illicit drugs such as heroin or cocaine." HIGHLY ADDICTIVE. If my insurance company hadn't told my pharmacy that it was not approved and had to be reviewed prior to release, we would not have known the difference as my husband doesn't take pain meds on a regular basis. There are so many generic names for meds that we wouldn't have known the difference. If he had started taking TRAMADOL it could have had detrimental results. NATHAN KISKILA, MD is extremely lucky nothing serious happened to my husband. They could have had a huge malpractice lawsuit on their hands. I will be filing a formal complaint as a result of NATHAN KISKILA, MD's negligence, incompetence and failure to check past records in addition to his simple blatant failure to listen to us when explaining why we were at the MARQUE URGENT CARE facility. This could have lead to unwanted addiction or even death. read more

First time using this place on recommendation from my dr that is far from my house. Got me in with appt within 2 hours of calling. I waited only 5 min in the lobby after checking in. Only waited 5 min for nurse to come in and within another 5 min the dr came in. Gave me the time of day seemed concerned asked good questions and got me a tested for strep within another 5 min. Had results and prescription and was out of there 5 min later. The place is clean and updated. Good experience I recommend! Good job guys! read more

Dumb dumb dumb- they are advertised as a pediatric urgent care on their website and obviously on Yelp. I called to seek care for my 3.5 month old as her doctor was out of town & I didn't think her symptoms were "ER serious," just for them to tell me they do NOT see kids under the age of one! She suggested their Lake Forest and Aliso Viejo locations, which are at least 45 minutes from me. No thanks. read more

Got an appointment at 1:45 Doctor seemed extremely rushed which I understand, but RUSHED to check my back and did not ask about the second reason why I came in. The nurse came back only for me to tell them that they've only addressed 1 of the 2 issues I had Was told I would have 3 different prescriptions, and only 2 got fulfilled. After calling back and forth, now 5:45, the clinic is now telling me that the doctor told me to get over the counter medication when the receptionist specifically told me they were waiting for the topical steroid to be sent to my pharmacist. I took my two year old there over the weekend for a consistent cough. I do agree they see you fairly quickly with an appointment. I was in and out of there in about 25 minutes. However they only checked my son for a few minutes, said he had an ear infection and prescribed promethazine and prednisone for his cough....hes TWO! A couple hours later I had to take him to the ER where they diagnosed him with pneumonia, and they said to absolutely not give my child those medications. I'm just shocked this doctor completely misdiagnosed my son and tried to give him intense meds. Will never return. read more

My beautiful girlfriend was feeling flu symptoms and needed to go to urgent care. We were a walk in, and the staff was super adamant with coming back after 1:00 PM. We arrive at 1:10 PM and the guy at the front desk says they're not opening the tablets for check in until 1:30 PM. We came back, before 1:30 PM, to find that the tablet was open to check in and had several people already on the wait list. When we were finally called in, the nurse never looked up from her tablet and was pretty rude and stern. The most PLEASANT urgent care visit EVER!!! The staff here is extremely nice. The nurse was so kind and answered all of my 19 year old, autistic son's questions, and Dr. Nugent was incredibly patient and kind to him. The wait time was minimal and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I had scheduled a "reservation" time but today was a slow day so it was totally unnecessary. Could have just walked in. Marque Urgent Care - Super clean entrance and front desk! - Urgent Care Near Me - Buena Park, California

Started this review from my car after waiting over an hour to have my son seen. As you can see from the photo I took, the place is a ghost town! My complaints start from the very beginning. I arrive and call the line to speak with someone about being seen. It's an automated service and will transfer you to the facility, or so you think. No one answers! I ended up walking to the front with a heavy bag and my 26 lb son. I let the receptionist know that I'm with Kaiser but also have Tricare and established care for my family as well (can never have too many options amirite?). Anyway, I wasn't invited in to have a seat (fine, I get it) but I wasn't told it'd take a while and to go ahead and wait in the car (it was freaking COLD outside too). I don't know, seems common sense to me considering I'm clearly carrying a heavy load. I thought it was really inconsiderate to not advise me to go ahead and wait in the car until I asked. The real problem I have is the misdiagnosis of my son. I am a registered nurse as well as nurse practitioner and my husband is reporting the MD to the medical board because he is beyond furious about what transpired. The MD asked what was going on with my son and I mentioned he was swatting at his ear to which he asked if it was the left or right. I told him left, he "assesses" and is like oh yeah, the eardrum is very inflamed I'm going to order amoxicillin. Something in my gut told me the doctor was full of sh*t. I make a telephone appt visit with kaiser and was able to be seen later that day. I brought up the ear infection to the pediatrician and after he took a look, I was told "there is absolutely ZERO sign of infection. It couldn't be more grey than that trash can" and expressed horror over the fact that a physician would tell someone such false information, and prescribe unnecessary antibiotics. The kaiser pediatrician alluded to the idea that the Marque doctor just went along with what was easy---mom says kid is swatting at ear, okay let's appease her and just say he has an ear infection. This place is a JOKE. I have NO idea how CHOC is affiliated. Fortunately for us we have dual insurance, but do not ever plan on bringing our children to this place and quite sadly have lost confidence in the care they will receive if we ever do leave Kaiser. read more
