The staff is wonderful. Yes, it is in a trailer, but I LOVE not having to drive down to Rancho Bernardo for my mom's frequent bloodwork.

My experience with this office has made me question whether our healthcare system is somehow worse than I already knew it was. I wish I was exaggerating when I say that almost every single time I have come into this office or spoken on the phone with them, they have made a mistake, told me misinformation, or started to share my private health information over the phone before confirming it was me speaking. As a service industry worker, I try to be very understanding. That being said, you cannot afford to be bad at your job when working in healthcare. Alternatively, this office has failed time and time again to provide timely care because of scheduling issues. I do not find it ethical to keep accepting new patients as a PCP, but not be able to see them for MONTHS at times. I cannot imagine how much more stressful this experience would be for the elderly, or those with life threatening chronic illness. If possible, just make the drive to Poway. The extra time and money you spend on gas is nothing compared to the stress you may experience if you have urgent health problems that are not being properly addressed. I have never felt strongly enough to write a negative review before, but unfortunately it is that serious when it comes to public health.

This reflects Urgent Care visit. I will update when I see new PCP…read more I was honestly nervous coming here after seeing the 2 star ratings, especially since I had just changed insurance & didn't have much of a choice as the distance is a lot further away from the actual city I'm closer to. So glad it worked in my favor. The wait was long (2 hours), but they warned me ahead of time & even offered another location with shorter wait time. After driving almost 40 miles, I chose to stay and it wasn't too bad. The office is small but not crowded, and the staff was kind, efficient & attentive. Having lived in LA, 2 hours was nothing compared to average 4-12 hour wait I was used to-(LA pre-pandemic & ever since) The nurse checked on me, apologized for the additional time in Exam room waiting for the NP, asked if I needed anything (which I've never experienced). Nurse Practitioner Ana was great--she listened to me closely, checked everything thoroughly, and sent my prescription in so fast it was ready before I even left the parking lot. I was also able to get a referral to a specialist without jumping through hoops or the usual resistance I've dealt with in the past. Overall, this was one better urgent care experiences I've had in years. I felt heard and taken care of, which sadly isn't always the case anymore. Hoping the rest of my care here stays just as positive. It was mentioned I'll be in good hands, when I see my new PCP, so that was reassuring. Located behind Starbucks off Main Street. Small parking lot but accessible.

I am very grateful to him for ensuring my comfort and wellbeing. Dr. O'Shaughnessy was so careful to ensure a pain-free procedure. I would forever trust a doctor like him. He and the staff are amazing, including the male nurse and front desk personnel. Special shout-out to DR. VEENA ARUN, too, who saved my vision on an entirely unrelated, separate visit (not in UC). This was a while back. She's an eye-saving ophthalmologist who did wonders when no one else could -- not even my PCP nor ER doctors (with a CT scan when my primary doctor had said I needed to be seen ""STAT"). The woman Dr. Arun LITERALLY saved my vision. The staff got in right away. Dr. Arun rose above and was so calm and professional. Her demeanor made a huge difference. Her treatment was life-changing. (You take your vision for granted until something happens to the contrary, for which I am forever thankful to this skilled, gifted ophthalmologist.

At my August 26th appointment, my doctor explicitly told me--and their website confirmed--that I would receive my results in 2 to 3 days. When that timeframe passed with zero communication, I contacted Sharp, only to be informed that their in-house radiology department is currently 7 to 14 business days behind. I have been dealing with severe pain since that appointment and have an upcoming consultation with an orthopedist on the 8th. Because of this failure, I won't even have my basic radiology results to support my care or show my specialist. It is completely baffling and unacceptable that an in-house department can fall this far behind in modern healthcare. Shame on Sharp for failing their patients to this degree. If you have any alternative options, please go elsewhere--it is clear that things are only getting worse here.

I have experienced on more than one occasion that the clinics have problems with their phone lines…read more Today 9/27/18, three of their clinics did not answer their phones. I don't know if this is due to lack of staff or a technical glitch in their system. But it is not how a medical clinic should operate. The other complaint I have is that doctors don't tend to stay. So, for example, a doctor I had begun to know and trust decided to move to another one of their locations which is very far from where I live.

The earliest appointment available was a month and a half out. The day of the appointment finally arrived so we went to the appointment this morning, which I thought was scheduled for 8:45am. Showed up at the clinic at 8:30am, waited in line to check in only to be told by reception we were in the wrong suite and to go down the hall. We did so and I checked in with another receptionist. He had me fill out a one and a half page form and then proceeded to tell me the doctor was not going to see us because we were late. I said, it was for 8:45? He said no, it was scheduled for 8:30. We were literally only 8 minutes late and no one else was waiting in the waiting room at the time we arrived nor by the time we left. He asked if we could come back later that afternoon instead. How does a doctor go from having no availability for a month and a half to 3 available appointments on the same day? Not only that but the nurse came out to ask me questions about my son's medical history. That is not HIPPA compliant to do that. The audacity of that Medical Deity to say he couldn't see us for being a few minutes late. Meanwhile, whenever we actually can be seen the doctors always take their sweet *ss time to come to the treatment room. Making you wait anywhere between 15-45 minutes. Trying to get a correct and timely referral from this place is also another nightmare. Your literal life hangs in the wait of these doctors and their mistakes. Not recommended and we will not be returning.
