I have reviewed his Kaiser biography, and in comparison to other medical doctors, there are far more credentialed physicians that do not behave in such an arrogant and condescending manner. This specific doctor needs to be counseled - I will be naming him on the KP survey that I received. Secondly, whoever has responsibility and oversight needs to be held accountable for the failure of sanitary practice in the cafeteria. This facility cafeteria does not provide trays for food - I believe for cost cutting reasons, why else would there be no trays?. As a substitute for trays, the option provided to guests are shipment boxes. Shipment boxes from food and drinks that have been delivered. Unsanitary and disgusting. How have the employees and paying KP members tolerated this? In addition, after having spent a week on the transition floor, I discovered why there were so many discrepancies with the care - the nurses and doctors DO NOT work off of the same screen/software so the clinical treatment is not consistent - I literally said, that the system used is out of date and I had to intervene as a human to highlight how the doctor and nurses notes are not consistent - this is negligent care. This was my first time at Kaiser San Leandro and when I compare San Leandro to other Kaiser facilities, San Leandro ranks as the poorest Kaiser facility in the several Kaiser facilities my family receives treatment from. East Bay Hand Medical Center provided me with the best care I have ever received. After over a…read moredecade of chronic carpal and cubital tunnel pain and many attempts to resolve it non-surgically, Dr. Stein and his team took the time to offer me a permanent solution to my pain. They did not enter upon surgery lightly and had me go for a neurological test to be sure. I ended up having surgery of both hands and elbows and am recovering well and quickly. Dr. Stein's bedside manner is excellent and he made me feel seen and my pain acknowledged. As a black woman, I have not always had the most positive experiences in health care so to have this one be so good was almost overwhelming. All of the nurses and PAs treated me with the upmost respect and care. A special shout out to Jen, Lara and Beth, all of whom cared for me as if I were their family. Thank you to Jen especially for all of her work and giving me the tools and authorizing the tests that aided in my decision to go forward with the surgery. And finally to Dr. Stein, I am forever grateful for his expertise and kindness. I am able to use my hands again, something I will never take for granted. This practice is discharge-happy…read more I came in for a pinky fracture in 2021. Went through about 6 sessions of therapy. My range of motion never returned back to normal despite the false reassurance by Dr. Stein. The therapists requested my insurance for more therapy sessions so they could try something different to see if they could get my full range of motion back. Even though my insurance approved the sessions, Jenn the PA ended up canceling my sessions being adamant saying I didn't need them. Then she unprofessionally kept arguing with me and said there's nothing else they would be willing to do to remedy the situation. I left a very frustrating voicemail for her asking why they would treat me like that. Not only did she not reply, but a week later, I received a discharge letter in the mail. Fast forward to this week, I had another injury to my hand. Knowing I have limited transportation and access to another hand clinic , I tried calling EB Hand again. I explained the discharge history to the receptionist, but she told me there was no record of me being discharged on file. So then I sent my referral to them and proceeded to book the appointment. I get three hasty call attempts maybe an hour later basically telling me they dug up files from 5 years ago saying I was discharged from their practice. I would avoid this practice like the plague. They mostly deal with Worker's Comp patients, and all they want to do is collect money from your insurance. Whether or not you experience a full recovery or they live up to their treatment promises is of absolutely NO PRIORITY to them. Beware! Zero stars for the medical staff.
