This boutique hotel is straight up wonderful! It's intimate, with its own pool and restaurants…read more Even though it is not an all-inclusive, it sure gets close! There is a sweets suite that has granola bars, popcorn, soda, oranges and apples, goldfish, an ice and water machine, espresso machine (that also makes hot cocoa), and ice cream bars! No need to pack extra snacks for your little ones on this trip! The rooms are large and the balconies have a gorgeous view of the bluest turquoise waters- it reminded me of being in the islands! The turndown service brings you fresh homemade cookies every night (so don't use your DND!). The staff onsite are super accommodating, the drinks at the bar are delicious, and the food is good as well. The pool drinks are more expensive if you go to the beach club next door. The pool area has a huge sunscreen dispenser (never seen one of these), ice water, fire pits (free to use). There is a tiny gym off the lobby (open 24/7). It has one treadmill, one elliptical, free weights, one bench, on pulley system and a Lululemon mirror thing. No one seemed to use it, so that was nice. The beach is powdered sugar soft a the ocean is clear and calm. It was an OASIS! The only surprise is that there isn't any drink service. Luckily the pool bar wasn't too far away. There is a free trolley you can take to other pools like the Watercolor Club (for kids), and other locations. There are some eateries within walking distance (however not a ton). The whole town is walkable and bike friendly. If you're a runner, there's a paved walkway that goes alongside the main road for miles and miles. I stuck to the trails behind the houses and loved it! It was secluded and woodsy, and yet I still saw houses so it didn't feel unsafe. This was probably one of the best vacations I've been on- it felt foreign but was stateside. Everyone enjoyed it- myself, my husband, our toddler, and my older in-laws. It's worth every penny! And bonus: the AC works amazingly! You can have a cold room and the ceiling fan makes it even better! The housekeeping was also phenomenal! Everyone was friendly and did such a great job! They gave us more shampoo, etc without us even having to ask. My only cons- I wish the free bike rental had helmets. I don't trust drivers when I have a little one to take care of, and the pool pump was loud so we couldn't really hear the ocean from the balcony, but not a deal killer.

A Mixed Experience at The Pearl Rooftop Bar…read more We recently visited the Rooftop Bar at The Pearl in Rosemary Beach, and unfortunately, our experience was a real mix of wonderful service and some disappointing lapses in customer service. First, the bright spot was our server, Lauren. She was friendly, attentive, and made excellent drink and food suggestions. She was a pleasure to have as our server and truly represented the level of hospitality you would expect from a Forbes-recognized hotel. The grouper sandwich with fries was wonderful -- I would give the sandwich an 8/10. However, what happened when we ordered it was frustrating. Lauren asked if we would like the sandwich cut in half, and since my husband and I were splitting it, we said that would be great. We were then told that Executive Chef Jordan had instructed the kitchen staff that under no circumstances were they to cut a sandwich in half for a customer. Seriously? For a property known for outstanding service, this was a head-scratcher. We weren't asking for anything complicated or unreasonable -- simply to have a sandwich cut in half and placed on two plates. This is exactly the kind of small gesture that should be part of great hospitality. Instead, the kitchen turned a simple request into an unnecessary customer-service issue. I would give this aspect of the experience a 2/10. There was another issue that seems like an easy fix. My husband asked about the Virtuous Veggie sandwich, which was still listed on the menu. Lauren told us that it had been taken off the menu, along with the Mojo Boiled Peanuts, quite some time ago. Again, for a Forbes-recognized hotel, why are customers still being handed a laminated menu with items that are no longer available? Updating the menu seems like a pretty basic operational detail. Finally, there was the HUGE fan on the deck. We completely understand the need for air movement on a hot day, but this fan was so loud that it sounded like a jet engine taking off. There are much better alternatives. Misters and quieter, effective fans -- like the systems used at places such as Tommy Bahama Restaurants -- can keep guests comfortable without overwhelming the entire dining experience. So, our overall experience was definitely a mixed bag: Grouper sandwich: 8/10 ‍ Kitchen/chef customer service: 2/10 Lauren and our table service: 9/10 Lauren deserves a lot of credit for making our visit enjoyable despite the other issues. She was fantastic. The Pearl has a beautiful setting and the potential to deliver the exceptional experience its reputation promises. But the little things matter -- especially at a luxury property. A chef refusing to allow a sandwich to be cut in half for two guests who are sharing it is simply not the kind of hospitality I would expect from a Forbes-recognized hotel. Hopefully, management will take these comments as an opportunity to look at the guest experience from the customer's perspective. Sometimes the smallest accommodations make the biggest difference.

We were provided access to these locations and even enjoyed some meals and walking around WaterSound Club areas. As a guest of the Camp Creek Inn, we were provided exclusive access to the private WaterSound Beach Club amenities with complimentary shuttles (daily 8 AM to 9 PM). The beach is private and not open to the general public though we had access because of the WaterSound Club. The Beach Club offers two 7,000 square foot pools, a spacious pool deck, and over a mile of private beach with complimentary chair and umbrella setups along with paddle board and kayak rentals. There are also several dining venues there, too. To be a part of the WaterSound Club as a member, there is a hefty initiation fee with monthly dues though staying at a hotel like the Camp Creek Inn allows us access as if we are a member without being an actual member. Some of the restaurants that we went to include the Bark 'N Brine at the Camp Creek Inn and the Beach Break Grill at the Beach Club. Both of these had similar but different food offerings and mostly similar drink menus. They also both offered happy hour with half price select appetizers and drink specials. We also enjoyed walking along the beach though it was a cloudy and somewhat rainy day when no one was on the beach but we still saw some WaterSound staff working. We also enjoyed the pool at the Camp Creek Inn. I'm sure there were a lot of other aspects of the WaterSound Club we could have explored, and should we visit the area again, we'll gladly do so. In the meanwhile, learn more about the WaterSound Club at https://watersoundclub.com.

Location meets all of my must haves: highly walkable, beach adjacent, ample nearby shopping, plethora of restaurants and eateries of a variety of styles & cuisines. This place is small in scale which I liked, a lot. It's the true definition of boutique. You don't need to take an elevator to your room, as an example. The beach front cabana chairs that came with the room were such a welcome discovery. Normally we haul our own chairs & umbrellas to the beach. Having access to preinstalled beach gear that's quality (I would never carry wood chairs despite their comfort!) was such a welcome treat! The umbrella was substantial. The chairs were quite comfortable. The view and ocean here? Unparalleled! The ocean water is bathtub warm and see your feet clear! Dolphins are frequently passing through. I saw my first ever whale spout! And the color is aqua. I adored my time here and am sad my review might jack up prices to stay but it's such a great getaway I couldn't gate keep it. You also get 50% off beach chair/umbrella rental at Cabana Man. The location could not be beat. We didn't have to drive anywhere while we were there. Dan greeted us when he arrived and he answered all questions we had throughout the week. We had so much fun riding our bikes around Seaside and parking them on our porch. We had a huge porch swing and really enjoyed it in the evenings and one morning as a storm was passing through. When it rained, the staff placed a big umbrella outside each room. Now that's service! The rooms are bright and clean. We will absolutely stay here again!

It is sort of like a hybrid between a hotel and an Airbnb. Check in occurs at their central office about two blocks away. We received a warm welcome from the staff at the desk and got parking passes, keys to the room and codes to all the closed access areas such as the pool and beach. We also received a card that supposedly would get us discounts around town. We drove over to the property and were able to park in one of the two reserved spots right outside the main door. We went up to our room on the third floor via elevator. The rooms are small and felt more like a European hotel room than an American one. The bedroom portion is updated but the bathroom was a little tired. Everything was pretty comfortable for such a small space and we appreciated the ceiling fan. There was a Keurig as well with some of the best k-cups I've ever had (Illy Dark Roast). On the first of two nights, we had trouble sleeping due to the activity on the square outside (you are in the center of downtown Rosemary Beach, right by the Pearl) and also because the shutters were banging against the outside of the house, like another reviewer noted. We ended up having an interesting relationship with the downstairs restaurant. We received "breakfast" vouchers that got you coffee or tea, juice, four pieces of toast with jam or butter, and a very small fruit cup. I think the play was to get you in to the restaurant to order more food. We used the vouchers for cups of ice and morning coffee, though like I said the Keurig was pretty sufficient. They also generously supplied mixers for a cocktail we were making up in the room. The property is very close to the beach and to one of four pools in Rosemary - the best one, in our opinion, having tried all four. One small issue was beach chairs. At check in, they claimed we would have two chairs per room, set up with our room number on them. When we went down to the beach there were no such chairs, but the staff quickly set some up for us after asking. It worked out just fine, but know that the beach can get pretty packed. Overall, if it's just you and one other, this is an inexpensive way to stay in Rosemary Beach and gain access to all the amenities. Our room was half the price of the Pearl next door and less expensive than any house or cottage would have been.
