I've eaten here at least a couple dozen times now and it's consistently excellent. We love the masala fries especially. Even the cat is interested in having some, although he never gets any. The menu here has something for everyone. My husband is a huge fan of their double cheeseburger. The falafel platter is incredible and you should try it. So the wife and I found ourselves in Owego, and didn't want to do the burgers and fries thing at a McDonald's or somewheres, we checked on Google and found this little Greek restaurant. The prices look really reasonable so we figured we'd give it a shot. When we arrived, the storefront didn't look like anything special, nothing really appealing to bring someone in, just kind of blended in with the rest of the block... And after entering, it still didn't really reach out and grab us. Not a lot of decoration, a few tables with chairs and a couple of booths, and a counter to order from which is perfectly fine but I didn't know having never been there if they had a wait staff or anything. So we looked over the menu for a minute and ordered a couple of dishes. My wife I believe had a chicken and lamb platter, and I had the fish platter. So far up to this point everything was fine but nothing was really over the top awesome, and then we sat down and ate. Oh my gosh that food was good. My wife absolutely loves tzatziki sauce which of course they had, and the chicken and lamb was served with rice and you get choices like lettuce and tomato and hummus and chickpeas that they can add to your platter. My fish platter was incredible. Her and I both commented a couple times to the gentleman at the counter that the fish was cooked perfectly. It was nice and lite and flaky and I wish there were more than just the two pieces on there. Don't let the stark surroundings fool you, don't be surprised if it doesn't look busy. And don't let either of these things run you off. The staff is welcoming and friendly and it's nice to go somewhere that the staff takes pride in and is excited about sharing their cuisine. We had the chicken platter and the fish platter. Both were fantastic. I live about an hour away and would gladly drive here just for these delicious pieces of breaded, fried and just slightly spicy fish pieces. You will not go away hungry. The servings are hefty and the prices are low. They evidently have locations from the southern tier through the finger lakes north to 'Cuse. Don't be shy; give it a try. What a great addition to this lovely little town of Owego, NY! It's right on the Main Street. Gyros, grilled meat dishes served with rice, masala fries, onion rings, and more! Chicken biryani, if you like traditional Pakistani cuisine. The owner came out and met us to make sure that we enjoyed our meals. So hospitable. And super friendly. He even brought us some complimentary baklava! Excellent service. All the food is prepared by the family. Fresh and tasty. A lot of variety on the menu. Something for everybody! Cafeteria style. Simple but clean and bright environment. There's even an outdoor patio at the back that overlooks the Susquehanna river. And there's a walkway along the river that you can access from the back patio. The prices are so reasonable! Six adults in my group - bill was around $75. Please check out this restaurant in charming Owego! Please note that the printed menu needs to be updated. The owner actually offers a lot more dishes than is written. They're only six months into the business so they have to revise the menu. We stopped in on our way to see our kids in Upstate New York. We didn't know what to expect, but we were delightfully surprised. The staff was cordial and friendly, and the food was delicious!
