I started drinking Kava and Kratom products in the fall of 2021 when I moved to Melbourne. I first started coming after car meets that were held close by in the LA Fitness parking lot since it was Kava (something I had been enjoying for 6 months prior) that was close to where I was and they were open late. At the time, the cleanliness of the bar was very good and staff were very nice. So, my car friends and I would pop in and enjoy. The bar has always had a "standoffish" clientele, since a lot of them are not super welcoming, but the staff more than made up for it with engaging conversation and trying to get you to break the ice and you into the new environment. We started to create relationships, and then staff started to invite us to have car meets in their side parking lot. Over 2022-2023, I had been many times for car meets, to watch local bands, attend their events, go on dates, and for personal enjoyment. In the summer of 2023, I noticed things started to go downhill. Cleanliness of the bar was poor, They started making the bar a lot darker, started limiting events that they had, and I noticed a lot of disrespect from male staff--especially toward some of my friends, who they claimed "were ugly." On a separate occasion, my friend, who happens to be a model, was told that if she flashed them, her tab would be free! The female staff were very unfriendly and gave me and my friends eye rolls and no attention since they assumed women-to-women wouldn't tip as much as the male patrons. I ultimately stopped going to the Palm Bay location and started going to other alternative Kava and Kratom spots nearby. I was very excited, though, when they opened up the Eau Gallie (close to my home) and Viera (close to where I worked at the time) locations and had tried both of them. Eau Gallie is very small, and all the staff except one were very unwelcoming. I've never had issues with Viera, and it's the BEST Kavasutra location I've been to--but I've only ever gone when there was a male kavatender. Unfortunately, Kavasutra has always had a reputation for being "crass." During COVID, they told people they would not be allowed to attend the bar if they were wearing a mask! I feel as though if you want to wear a mask, you can, and if you don't want to wear a mask, you shouldn't have to. Recently, though, they have come at other bars (specifically Nocturne) that have opened up in close proximity to Kavasutra and dragged the businesses openly on social media! Kavasutra was even running an event to trade another bar's tea for their tea to show people it was superior. HOWEVER, every single time they have opened a location, it has always been near another existing bar! They opened the Eau Gallie location 2.5 miles away from Island Root EGAD and opened up the Viera location 1.7 miles away from Island Root Suntree--which is just hypocritical! I feel as though what they were doing was super unprofessional, very immature, and it's just not the vibe that the Kava community should have I really hope this bar can turn around, but as it stands right now, I will never be attending again. I hope they have a change in staff and actually start hiring people with better customer service experience .

The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, but honestly... the food steals the show. And let me tell you about the meatballs. I normally don't order meatballs when I go out to restaurants, but Pizzavola's are hands down the best I've ever had. If they're not included in our entrée, we order a side every single time. They are that good. This place is truly a must-try. Once you go, you'll understand.

She was friendly, kept the drinks full, offered the appetizer specials and was really sweet. Even after we paid our tab she checked in to refill! She was wonderful. The restaurant is kinda indoor out door which i thought was kinda cool. The place was tidy, clean and had plenty of patrons for a Tuesday night. I ordered 2 appetizers and a meal to go and my friend got the ravioli. The meal started with "home made bread." I was surprised the garlic knits were replace with this loaf. The bread was served cold, greasy and not great. Our meals arrived. The cheese triangles were great! Had a nice cheese pull and served with marinara. The fried zucchini was pretty good but i probably wouldn't order them again. My friend's ravioli was season-less. Appearance it looked good. But the taste was bland. Would i try it again. Perhaps with different foods.. sometimes pizza is always the way to go.

**UPDATED REVIEW**…read more When it comes to Kavasutra, almost all of them across the board are a-okay. This includes the ones I come across that I have yet to review including locations in Palm Bay, Historic Downtown Melbourne (formerly), Viera, Port St. Lucie, and Stuart. However, there is one Kavasutra that stands out simply because one of their workers there makes it a location I say goes above and beyond the typical Kavasutra experience: Kavasutra Melby (Melbourne, FL). And that one worker, the "Kava Queen" (maybe I should remove the quotations because she really pushes her moniker), Shannon. First and foremost, everything from my initial review is still in effect in general, but let me talk to you about Shannon. She's the kavatender with the most tenure at this kava joint, and she holds it down. Very friendly and approachable and as mentioned earlier, able to hold a good conversation and be civil. Shannon is also a fantastic kavatender. Unlike some who just sling shells, she actually did a great job with the mocktails, which seems as if not many of the patrons order them by how it seems. The first one she got me was by accident called the "Elder Drop" which consists of pineapple, elderflower, lemon juice, ginger ale, and Shane's Addiction, their kratom blend. Though it was a screwup, it was fantastic. So delicious. Now the one I wanted, the Key Lime Pie Drop, consisted of French vanilla, peppermint, lime juice, ginger ale, and Shane's Addiction. It as so good! Overall, well for me, Shannon is the main reason I am giving this location not just its fourth star, but a rarity fifth star for a chain business. If you ever stop in, enjoy the tropical vibes, the EDM playing in the background, and make sure to order a delicious mocktail from Shannon, but take note that the other kavatenders, Paige and Marty, are great too. I just happens that when I am in, the Kava Queen is ruling the bar.

The problem is the open patio door concept. It lets all the hot air in and the cool air out. The condensation is dripping off the vents and pooling on the floor. We tried outside and unfortunately the only tables they would give us as a couple were four seaters out under tiny umbrellas that do nothing to block the heat. They wouldn't let us sit under the actual patio at a larger table "just in case" a group came in. Well, no groups came but we sure sweated it out under our little umbrella. Fish and rock shrimp roll were great, regular fries great, but the upcharged truffle fries were burnt. They made a second batch to take with us... but didn't poke holes in the container so they were a soggy mess that went in the trash at home. I really did appreciate the effort and the server was so nice. But this is the second attempt to eat here. First inside where we all sweated and couldn't hear each other over broken blaring speakers and overcrowded dining area (not to mention inedible chewy snapper special), and now sweating outside with burnt truffle fries we paid extra for. It's just not fun and really starts being annoying to spend money for "upscale" dining in such poor physical conditions. I'm really hoping they get it together, but doubtful after two bad experiences in a row. Tips to owners: Expanding the patio cover. Get a door that closes. Fix the speakers inside. Wipe up the ac puddle (that won't exist if you close the patio door). And give your diners some elbow room.
