Not what I expected. Small space, a bit too cozy. You need a reservation to enter. The music was a bit loud & not my vibe. To use the restroom, you have to walk thru the pizza place's dining area. Masha was friendly & welcoming. The drinks were different but tasty. $16 but they were strong. Idk if I'll return.

This place was neat. Need more craft cocktail in 321. Quaint little place but very intimate and kind of freezing, bring a jacket!

The Oleander is a small speakeasy in the Eau Gallie Arts District. The room holds about 20 people. The atmosphere is fantastic. It feels like your in a secluded and private club. The drink menu is very unique. I have not seen another one like it in the Melbourne area. The cocktails are incredibly crafted and taste amazing. I would say the average drink is about $12-$18, but is well worth it in my opinion. This is my new favorite experience. I plan on making a monthly visit to The Oleander. Note: You do need a reservation to get into the Oleander. You have to contact them through Facebook or Instagram. I don't have Instagram and I barely use Facebook, so I was a little irritated. I tried to make a reservation in person because I was already in the area, but my request was denied. Was told phone reservations were also not accepted. I understand they are trying to maintain a certain type of format to obtain entry, but I'm pretty sure they did not need social media or the internet to get into a speakeasy during prohibition. I have it figured out now, so I'm good. :) That being said, I highly recommend The Oleander. I think everyone should give it a try.

So there is this interesting little bar located on Highland. You have to make a reservation via Facebook messenger to request a time in advance or they won't let you in. Once you have a time confirmed your good. Just knock and they open up and let you in. Its a charming bar that has that Great Gatsby feel. The lone bartender will come and take your drink order, there are also small bites available. She masterfully whipped up some incredibly impressive cocktails that weren't just delicious but visually appealing as well. Sit back, sip away, and let the music drift your mind back to another time.

Drinks were very good. I would say it is more ideal for brown liquor drinkers but there were some great white liquor choices as well. It's a nice quiet spot. Small on the inside. Service is good. It's a good place to grab a drink before or after dinner. You have to make a reservation to go. I made mine through instagram several hours before.

We are rum drinkers so we had the two rum selections on their main menu - the one I can't recall but the other was a Flaming Mai Tai - both were delicious.

Every day of the week they have a different separate drink menu for the specialties of that day. I love the Wednesday bourbon. The vibe inside is so amazing and Homie and it is pretty intimate though. So keep in mind if you have large parties like I went once with around six people it is hard for everyone to sit together. So I would definitely recommend coming on more weekday evenings when it's not as busy otherwise you will be having to wait in a line outside unfortunately. The capacity seems to be roughly around 30 people after talking with the bartenders. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable. The off menu drinks that they could come up with ended up being some of my absolute favorites. I had the bartender at one point make me three surprise me drinks for whatever they felt like they could make. And every single one was so amazing I ended up passing it around to the rest of the group for everyone to try. Keep in mind, the drinks are probably a little bit more on the expensive side, but you are paying for more of the experience. It is also important to note that there is a five dollar cover fee that will last for a full week to enter the place, or you can buy an annual membership for $40. If you buy the annual membership, they do type out a membership library card for you and laminate so it feels very official and it's very cool to be able to have in your wallet. In the true vibe of speakeasy, this is a hidden gem.

You find the secret book, pay the $5 membership fee listen to the slightly too long intro pitch and…read morethe book shelf opens, admitting you to the speakeasy. It was crowded. It was elegant. The cocktails were exceptional. I asked for classic cocktails that weren't in the menu. They delivered. Love the place. Why Four stars? Service was three bears. The waiter with the blonde mop of hair is very nice but inexperienced. Too on top of customers when they arrive. He needs to give a menu and give a few minutes for guests to peruse it. The head bartender is brilliant. Talent without hospitality, though, is a craft cocktail fail. Kindness counts. The vibe was colder than the cocktails. I hope it improves on future visits. The blonde bartender in the grey dress was just right. Professional, attentive, and kind. This is easily a six star speak. When you are serving? You are "on." Be as excellent and calm of a person as you are outstanding at your craft.
