I'm not much for drinking alcohol especially brown liquor just went with a group of friends from work but I would take anyone back here -they have a great selection of all kinds of beverages and it was quaint, clean and inviting with cool decor and TVs to watch the world soccer matches going on! We visited late night and enjoyed the smaller crowds and waves of people that come and go as we watched the World Cup. The owner is welcoming & enjoys banter. The bartender was pleasant as well. It is an open air type bar with a good selection of whiskeys. We ordered a whiskey sour, old fashioned and whiskey neat. Unfortunately, the best drinks were whiskey neat. One of my favorite chill spots in downtown Melbourne! I like to bring people here while they are visiting the area and my friends always like it. It's a little hidden - right down an alleyway with other little shops. The bar has an open layout with a couple of couches for lounging. I LOVE the old fashioneds and get one every time I go - I don't think they serve food here. If you're lucky, when you're there you'll have Cargill as your bartender, who is really cool and easy to talk to! read more

Located in an out-of-site location in Downtown Melbourne, though not really hard to find, this should be a must-stop for any whiskey drinker, or any hard-liquor drinker, really. Beautifully furnished - high tops, leather chairs, sizeable tables - the bar is what brought us in here. They have an unassuming menu of drinks, but will really serve you anything you ask - from shot to whatever is not on their menu. They have a few TVs look at and pass the time, and their wait staff is very knowledgeable, patient, and friendly as well. I will definitely find the next opportunity, quickly, to get back. read more

I want to like this place because the concept is so cool. I love that it's tucked away in an alley too. After a bad experience on New Year's Eve I decided to come back and give it another try but I still don't like it. On NYE we were surprised this place wasn't packed like the others. Once we stepped inside we realized why- it wreaked of sewage. They said they were having a plumbing issue and bathrooms were out of order. We ordered one drink and left. I just came back last weekend thinking surely the plumbing issue had been fixed. It still wreaked of sewage though. They have the doors open to air out the smell but who can sit and enjoy a cocktail when the place smells so bad? My friend also said her old-fashioned was the worst one she's ever had. The drink could've just been an off night for the bartender but they also ran out of hard ciders. I might give it one more try in a few months but if I walk in and it still smells, I'm walking right back out. read more

Outrageous prices and rude staff. I've been here multiple times and always get the same thing and have never had an issue. On my last visit I was charged a ridiculous amount for an old fashioned. $74 to be exact. $37 per shot. We ordered a captain and sprite and an old fashioned with Blantons. They brought my bill over and it was $92. When I questioned the staff about it and showed my the staff my previous bills they told me that I must have been charged incorrectly. One of the bartenders laughed in my face and said "well you must not know it's an expensive bottle" - which it's really not and not to mention I'm well aware of how much it costs being that i drink it regularly. I drink the same thing anytime i go somewhere and they carry that bottle. The most I've been charged for it was $22 in Alabama for a 2 oz pour. At my local restaurants in Tampa it's anywhere from $12-$18 for a 2 oz pour. I have never complained about a bill in my entire life but this was absolutely unacceptable. With the actions of the staff and their pricing i can assure you, I'll never come back there again. I then went down the street to Main Street pub and ordered the exact same thing for under $50. read more

Drinks were good don't get me wrong. But when asked about the bourbon in the new old fashion that we requested to be smoked. They said they could not find the proper "upper shelf" bourbon used. When called out on in it, saying they just made the drink so they should have the bourbon, they admitted that they had no more and were using jimmy dean, which I would consider lower/ well drink. They then tried to cover the mistake up saying the price difference between the two was only $1. They eventually admitted the mistake charged me the same price, as normal, then charged me twice using someone else's tab. When corrected about that they got annoyed, and were right in front of me making eye rolls and talking what I could only assume to be shit. They thought me and my friends were drunk and could pull a fast one, but they were caught red handed. I will never re-visit this establishment.... That's how fucked up this encounter was. read more

I'm so happy to see this business was able to reopen! If you are looking for a classy, smoke free environment where you can relax, this is a great place. The establishment has recently been completely renovated with a fun, authentic prohibition theme. The owner Neil is a great guy, and will often be behind the bar greeting you with a huge smile.
