I brought in the case and charging wire and thought I would be paying to replace them both. They quickly evaluated the situation and said I only needed a new cord. When I asked "how much?" they replied no charge as they had an extra one in stock. That's what I call customer care!

The office is conveniently located at the corner of Russel and Central Ave in Lewiston, adjacent to the Bates College campus. Walking into the practice they have a modern clean look and not as many advertisements you sometimes see on the wall, counter or displays. The front desk staff do a great job recognizing you each time you come in requiring only the need to sign in and have a seat in their waiting room. The waiting room seems small, but is sufficient since you are not likely to wait a long time. The initial visit with Dr. Dionne was thorough and his quick examination of reflexes, going over past history and assessing the problem areas I identified was painless and productive. We established a plan and what areas his focus would be on during my treatements. Unlike some doctoros, his focus is on providing relief to your problem areas and only suggests procedures that are medically necessasry. He doesn't force any type of diagnostic imaging unless he feels its necessary to help determine underlining cause. I always felt more loose and relaxed when I left his office. Treatments took less than 15-20 minutes and overall visit less than 60 minutes, of course that depends on the type of treatement being received. He uses state-of-the-art equiment and procedures to treat his patients. One item to note is while I was waiting in the treatment room, his medical records monitor goes into a screensaver mode showing all the different equipment and procedures his practices uses to help diagnose and treat patients. I thought that was a great use of advertising. Overall, I am completely happy with my entire experience and see Dr. Dionne as a true medical professional who cares about his patients and doesn't overcharge them for uncessesary procedures. You can tell helping people is a passion of his and I have yet to see one person walk out unhappy. It's as if everyone is looking forward to seeing him so they can go about their day without any pain or discomfort.

There was one visit where I waited in the room for a little over 30 minutes, but the Medical Assistant keep checking in on me every 10 minutes to update me on the status and to offer water. The fact they kept me informed and provided a reason for the delay was satisfaction enough that the Doctor and the Medical Assistant care about me as a patient. The doctor was very apologetic when she came in, but I was not unhappy with my experience. I will continue to go here for my primary care needs.

Over the past year, Intermed has implemented scheduling requirements that make it nearly impossible to access routine care. Getting an appointment requires multiple calls, repeating your full medical history to different staff members each time just to be "approved," and even then telehealth is rarely an option regardless of how recently you were seen. Callbacks are inconsistent at best. As someone managing chronic health conditions, this is not workable. I understand physicians are given tight 15-minute windows and that this is out of physicians' control. But simple visits like medication management or a brief touchbase to relay specialist updates should not require weeks of effort just to get on the schedule. The friction rivals that of a specialist office, which is not what you expect from a primary care practice. Intermed is likely a fine fit for patients who need one annual physical and nothing more. For anyone requiring more frequent or complex primary care, I'd encourage you to weigh that carefully.
