I have been to Kalologie a handful of times for facials & once for Dysport (Botox). Jessica provides an excellent facial, I even brought my boyfriend to her and she did a great job. The most recent time I went was to fix the Dysport I had received a couple weeks prior. I had received a text message for a promotional offer and decided to redeem it. At my original appointment, I requested an injector, Diane, and she was in the room with me, but was not the one actually injecting me. I ended up needing to go back to have Diane do a touch up because it was uneven. Diane was very kind and helpful, and she was able to fix my issue immediately. The one thing I wanted to address was the unprofessionalism of what seemed to be the manager. When I arrived, the young man at the front desk was very friendly, greeted me immediately, and offered me water. He let me know my provider would be with me shortly. 30 seconds later, a man came out of the office, looked at me, and said "is she all set?" to the front desk person, to which he replied "yes". The man walked over to the front desk person and asked who I was seeing, then proceeded to chastise him for a booking issue right in front of me. It was very inappropriate to be having that conversation in front of a client, and it seemed as though the man was treating the front desk person as if he was incompetent. It was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. The front desk person has always been nothing but kind and competent and I appreciate that he remembers me each time I come in. Barring the inappropriate behavior from the gentleman towards the front desk person, my experience here has generally been good. read more

I received a swedish/deep tissue massage combo as well as a foot sugar scrub from Josh. When I arrived, I was very tight and in so much pain, that by the time I left, I felt a lot better and had regained most of my flexibility back. Go somewhere else unless you want them cancelling your appointment literally an hour before you're scheduled to go in!!! It really ruined my Saturday because I had been looking forward to this for a whole month. I kid you not, I had scheduled it a month ago. They tried to call me and I didn't pick up because I was asleep, but then when I tried to call them back, I couldn't get through. And then they sent me these really cold text messages where it seemed like they barely cared. They offered to reschedule for the week, but I usually save stuff like this for the weekend so I would have to wait a whole week which is just frustrating. The crazy thing is... they have a cancellation policy where they'll charge you $75 if you cancel within 24hrs. So there's a consequence to the customers, but they're allowed to cancel an hour before my appointment? They didn't even offer me a discount! They could have at least done that. Really really unprofessional for an expensive spa. Edit: I was not told the reason why the esthetician cancelled. I was just sent an initial text that my appointment has been cancelled and there was no apology in the first text until I replied (see image of text). It was just so matter of fact and cold and it just felt really bad because I had this appointment in my calendar for a month and this was my first time getting a facial for a year and I saved up money for it too (because it's NOT a cheap place). I understand last minute emergencies happen, but if they had communicated that to me more clearly I would have completely understood. I tried to reschedule for the next day and I got the "we're booked". I'm sorry but at that point I had no patience to keep texting back and forth trying to find times that works for me (I work 8am - 5pm during the week) and getting the "we're booked" text message... It just put me off. I've had other businesses that have offered some kind of discount or something to compensate for the inconvenience, but they just didn't really seem to care. I wish for the absolute best for your esthetician and I hope she finds quick recovery back to good health. Every once in a while I stumble across new treatments I haven't had which led me here. For me, it was a bonus since my one of my friend had just started working here. Texas had posted up on social media amazing results from Kalologie's new Hydrafacial treatment machine. Did I want to be hydrated, extracted, exfoliated, and glowing? Umm...hell yah! I showed up on a Wednesday afternoon and parking was a slight issue. This can be contributed to being located near Alamo Drafthouse and during SXSW festival. No worries, I knew this coming here so I made sure I had enough time to park and de-stress before my treatment. First I filled out my paperwork and headed back with Texas to a comfortable treatment room. Texas explained everything. At this time I did opt to upgrade my facial with additional add on (brighten) and LED. The Hydrafacial is not really relaxing but it is resulted driven. Really this is probably how many would describe me. LoL After the procedure I got to see the water and all the stuff the machine was able to pull out of my skin. Even someone like me, with great skin, will get results. I recommend everyone to visit Texas and get a Hydrafacial. Texas is warm and kind. The Hydrafacial is a results driven procedure. So it is the best of both worlds. Even if you don't come here to see Texas, do yourself a solid and get a Hydrafacial people! read more

I didn't realize it was only a 30min treatment for $200! however, there wasn't time for a classic facial so I figured all the promises of the hydra facial would deliver great results. I had two deep tissue massage sessions and I highly recommend it. I have trigger point issues and felt much better after the massage.

I got laser hair removal here and I got burned! I bought a package and had to continue because not all of my hairs were removed in the unwanted places. The person that worked on me was Hanna. But Hanna had to go away for awhile and told me that I would be in good hands with Melissa. I believed her and continue on with my laser hair removal to stay on schedule. Hanna told me I needed to stay in schedule to keep the hairs from growing back. I listened and trusted Hanna and everything she is saying to me to do. Well, the day of my laser hair removal, the owner called me up and asked if I was aware that Melissa was working me and I said yes. Was there something else that she knew but did not want to tell me about Melissa ? Was she setting up a trap for me ?! Well, I bought a package already from them before I even thought about getting a skinny shot with them and as much as I want to do everything with them to make it easier for me, I did not feel comfortable with certain things with them after consulting about other services. I stayed with them for laser hair removal because Hanna took good care of me. I assumed what she was telling me that I would be in good hands after she left for vacation. WRONG!! Melissa burnt me! I later founded out that Melissa did not have a lot of training compared to the other techs and that when she did my setting wrongs, she used my leg setting for other parts of my body which was wrong. Other parts of your body has different settings and the tissues are different. When they told me that they tried to reach Hanna on vacation but was unable too, but they still let Melissa worked on me with the wrong settings ! They then told me that their machine malfunction on the day of my appointment. If they knew all of this before my appointment, why did they not tell me that they did not feel comfortable to let me continue and to wait for Hanna to get back if they knew this. Yes, you have to on schedule but if you do not have the right settings information or the machine malfunction or etc. You should not continue. It is like an airplane flight, if the plane malfunction, the company would rather everyone be late then to let them fly on a broken plane and kill people if the plane malfunction in the air! All they keep on telling me that they should have done a better job. I was like, that was your job at the beginning with every client! What the bell did you let an inexperience person work on laser on me and hide from me that Melissa had less experience then Hanna did. They were suppose to take care of all of this before I came into my appointment! Why did Melissa not ask for help if she felt unsure? They told me she pressed one button to high and that caused me to burn. Go here if you want to turn into a crispy baked chicken. They told me that I would have Permanante scar and discoloration after Melissa burnt me! All of this could have been prevented but they were careless and neglectful! read more

I went nov 17th for a facial massage combo with a girlfriend. the experience was nice. untill i got home and realize I had a giant burn/scab/extraction on my cheek. this is sometimes normal when removing acne but I did not request her to do so (I specifically remember asking her not to cause I was going to dinner after and didn't want to be red) welp here I am dec 6th and it's stilllllll on my cheek. hasn't gone done a bit and I am getting extremely worried it's going to scar. read more

The front desk staff are tremendously under-trained, uninformed, unprofessional, and just simply lack strong customer service skills all together. And finally, today one just proved to be a complete liar. I called to request information on a service they offer, which Aurora (front desk associate) had terrible customer service, lacking any skills to properly communicate with me and provide information or even proper guidance/ assistance with handling my calls. She wined the entire time as to how she didn't know and placed me on hold twice only to come back and tell me she didn't know. I assertively just told her to please have someone who actually has information on the service I'm requesting to call me, I don't want to sit on the phone for 10 min to still not know information on what I'm calling for. She didn't like that. In fact, she LIED and told her manager I was using profanity towards her and yelling lol .. wow. Even my Uber driver attested that I absolutely did NOT do that .. he actually commended me after hanging up the call on how well I handled the situation. Smh this little place just doesn't deserve my business. I hate how AUSTIN has so much potential yet lacks customer service as a whole. It sucks. This place is cute.. you may luck up on a member whos really good or just good enough.. however if you have any issue at all .. don't be surprised if the "owner" doesn't respond with proper customer service tactics and decides to side with a lying/ overseer sensitive/ under skilled associate over properly getting both sides and analyzing the scenario first. Got a massage with Melanie this week and let her know that my neck/shoulder area on my left side has been giving me some pain (I have mild scoliosis so it does build up there from time to time). So I went in for a facial yesterday. I don't normally go for facials because it's a real treat for me but let me tell you they did an excellent job on me and relaxed me so much I felt like I had had a full body massage. First of all the staff at the front desk is super professional and friendly. When they answer the phone you know they are going to be very nice to you. They took special care to wear masks and were very careful even with the pen I used to sign and they had Disinfectant available to wash my hands. I was so impressed with their services that I bought two gift certificates for friends to get massages. I will be back very soon. Support your Austin businesses and they will love you for it!
