I brought my youngest daughter with me into the restaurant to get the food. My daughter is non-verbal autistic and makes audible sounds on a regular basis. She was doing this in the restaurant as I was paying and getting our food. The young man taking my order stared at my daughter, which is a common thing. When I gave him my credit card, he didn't look at me. He continued to stare at my daughter. He then addressed me. "Sir; when you come to restaurant, can you not bring her in? She is making random sounds." I didn't say anything for a few seconds. Then he said the same thing again. I let him know that she won't be back, that I won't be back, and I'll do my best to make sure that l tell as many people as possible about this so that they won't get food from Golden Wok in Nitro, WV. The young man didn't say anything, then gave me my receipt to sign. I got my food and left. I'm still pretty angry. When I returned home, I called Golden Wok in Nitro, WV and asked to speak to a manager. I got a manager and let them know what happened, asked if this was a restaurant policy to not allow non-verbal autistic people who make "random sounds" into the restaurant, and, if so, would make sure to inform as many people as I can. The person I talked to on the phone said that is it not a policy to discriminate, apologized, said it would be addressed with staff, and would check with the owner if this was indeed a restaurant policy. I haven't received a call from the owner yet and it's been over an hour since my phone call. I'm don't think I'm getting that call. Peking is offering takeout only at this time since Covid. But it is so much better than the buffet ever was in my opinion. The portions are huge, I can order takeout and for around $50 feed my family on it for 3 days or more! Larger portions for takeout than any other Chinese restaurants in surrounding areas. Flavorful! This is the real deal there is flavor with every dish I have tried! The eggrolls are the best around and the food is always fresh! Takes about 10-15 minutes from call in to pickup. Literally fast food, call ahead when traveling and pick it up when you stop through. Next level customer service too! They remember you! It was probably three months AFTER I moved when I gave up trying to find any good local Chinese food. I called placed a takeout order and they asked where I had been! You don't find this level of customer service anywhere else these days. When I really don't want to cook for a few days and order a bunch of food, they always include something free. We went back to register to ask about having it made as it had been requested. The lady at the register argued that it was Brown sauce. We questioned why it was red, she said their brown sauce is red. (We had another dish on the table that had brown sauce on it and it was actually Brown, so we knew better. Most importantly, however is how angrily the cashier/staff/owner, (whatever she is) behaved; she became irate. This was the most rude and unhinged reaction I have ever seen toward a customer in a restaurant. If she was an employee, they should fire her. The person who ordered the meal just told her to forget it and take the meal back; we weren't going to eat it and we needed the yelling and hand in the face.... Yes, the woman was putting her hand in the face of a customer as she continued to yell "that was brown sauce" and "she order it that way and it comes with white sauce and brown sauce is red.... Yada yada yada. Upon threat of just leaving the food on the counter, and more agitated babbling from the employee, we agreed to just have the dish made as described on the menu . Interestingly some of the Red "Brown Sauce" was still on a dish at the table. A color, smell, and taste comparison of it to the actual Brown sauce on my plate established that we absolutely had two different sauces - a real brown sauce and an imposter red brown sauce, which caused quite a stir and tasted like bad bbq. My suggestion; Buy the spring rolls and noodles and make no changes; avoid the hot and sour soup while you're at it. Or....
