Everything, I mean literally everything, was too old to qualify for a proper doctor office. Doctor himself didn't even remember me from few months ago. He should go home and rest I believe. It is 2019 and civility is the new social corner stone of today. It's seems as though, Dr. Batniji was left behind. Gone are the days wherein doctors are the most sought out practitioners. I think ever since then boom of education, we are seeing more and more practices that are more specific. Such as PT, Audiologists, Optometrists, etc. Dr. Batniji was arrogant, boastful, and a classic elder doctor who was egotistic and know it all. I believe that if you're ever berated by a doctor because of input that you give as a layman, I think it's time to cut ties with the doctor. I came here as a case-worker for a client. The client presented with deficits that required seeing an ENT specialist. Our appointment was at 2:00 pm but due to work circumstances, we were there at 1:00 pm and were the first ones there. We waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes because the doctor was late!! By then, the whole waiting area was packed. If we went there exactly on appointment date, we would have been waiting there until 5:00 pm. First sign of inefficiency-- late doctor and poor time organization. The doctor saw my client and asked what he was there for. Now, the client was referred to by his PCP, and notes should have been given as to why we were there. But no. Instead, we get this blame and he said, "well why the hell are you here? Next time I won't accept patients with no reason to be here." From a customer standpoint, that is just rude. I gave my input as a case-worker and how the client is observed in the program. I told the doctor his swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) and wanted to clear whether he has difficulties in his stage. This doctor literally asks my client - who by the way presents with cognitive and developmental challenges - "do you like steak? If you do then you should eat it!" Then he goes to ask if the client had a hard time hearing. I told the doctor that he was tested by an audiologist before and noted significant hearing loss in one side. This doctor literally had the audacity to say, "well I am an MD and I am the one who knows better. I say he can hear just fine." This was based on the understanding that he can hear just fine in the room that was enclosed and quiet. I try to present to him how it becomes difficult when he's out in the community, but I didn't get one listen. I heed you, never come to this doctor. There are plenty of other ENT doctors out there who can talk to you with respect and communicate with you without passing judgement. Input from a lay person is as important as any assessment that a doctor can ever provide you. read more

Dr batniji made it to YELP and I have no idea why or how! Let alone the health care system! My mother had an ear surgery with Dr.Kamal Batniji. And i remember exactly when my mother was being prepped for surgery his anesthesiologist psychologically, abused my mother into getting the surgery done. my mother doesn't understand the English language very well so she had asked for a interpreter and other assistant nurses and including the anesthesiologist, were extremely rude and psychologically abusive to my mother throughout the whole process they didn't have any empathy or care for my mother's feelings. My mother had cold feet. She didn't want to proceed with the surgery while she was being prepped. My mother had requested an interpreter and all of the assistants that were in my mothers room began to tell her that it wasn't a game and that she had to either say yes or no because they didn't want to have to go back-and-forth and fill extra forms in order to get an interpreter there for my mother. There was no in person interpreter at the time only through a phone. They were not the kind of assistant you would want to help you through a scary procedure, such as surgery and going under anesthesia. My mother had refused to get the surgery done since she was in the room but eventually my mother was bullied into getting the surgery. My mother went into the operating room, and I was no longer able to stand by her side, but I will say I was very speechless at the bedside manner Dr.batniji anesthesiologist, and the nursing assistant had with my mother. We were not informed of my mother's rights before going into surgery. My mother came from her surgery an hour late so I had assume something might've had gone wrong. And when I asked one of the nurses on the floor, they had told me they mixed up her chart with a different patients chart. My mother revealed to me when she was feeling better. That when she was in the operating room, she began to yell at the anesthesiologist begging her to please let her get off the bed because she did not want to to get surgery anymore. It was my mom's right to refuse the procedure. The anesthesiologist should not have forced my mother into the surgery!!! She tied down my mother from her legs arms!! Restrained her!! Forest her against your will to be operated and put under anesthesia. And my mother had yelled multiple times to her until the moment she was put down by the anesthesia. My mother did complain to Dr.Batniji when she woke up about how the anesthesiologist put her under anesthesia and restrained her and did not let her get go after she said she did not want to get proceed with the surgery. Dr.Batniji ignored her complaint. My mother then did complain to Dr.Batniji at her follow up appointment AGAIN!! And Dr. Batniji said that he did not recall any of it. And he lied to her and told her she should have told him!!!! My mother had also felt that she was suffocating prior to being put down by the anesthesia. Yet the anesthesiologist did not have any regard to her complaints and didn't report this to the doctor. When she also called for the doctor to come in to the surgery room before she was put under anesthesia. The doctor was called multiple times over the hospital speakers. And also paged. And he never came into the operation room make my mother requested. It's people like Dr.Kamal Batniji that make the healthcare system a dangerous and inefficient service for people. Dr. Batniji is a dangerous person he's completely out of his mind, has no respect for human life. Dr. Batniji for the actions of his anesthesiologist and guilty because he knew about the actions that his anesthesiologist did, and still didn't take any action in regards of my mother's complaint. And shouldn't be a doctor. And his anesthesiologist shouldn't be practicing next to him. Because his anesthesiologist is also a criminal an extremely dangerous. It's not OK to tell people that it's a waste of time, to offer them, reassurance and comfort prior to surgery! If it was up to me, both of them would be in jail. Dr batniji's Anesthesiologist forced to my mother into a surgery by psychologically abusing my mother. You can't just brush off a persons life practitioner and anesthesiologist. It's primary to have empathy and respect for a persons life. But the doctor is very hard towards people I wouldn't doubt that he can sleep well after killing someone. Since he is capable of ignoring the mistake of his anesthesiologist, I am most certainly positive she would ignore any malpractice to save his skin. He's an old man and shouldn't be working anymore. Once you've taken a persons life, you can't get a refund!!! read more

Long waiting time... I think the doctor himself has hearing problems... waiting room is too small for so many patients... my mom has hearing problem for almost 10-12 years but after listening all problems doctor told us she has ear wax that's why she is not hearing properly... is that so ? I don't know what to do.... they told us he needs to clean her ear and do some hearing test then he will be able to help her... hoping for the best :( read more

I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about dr. Batniji and his staff. They have always made me comfortable with seeing the doctor and also most importantly listening. The doctor knows what he is talking about. Not only that, he also performed a surgery that changed my life for good for the rest of my life. He is so heart warming to talk to and most importantly he is excellent and precise with his findings and performance. I feel so sad to see the reviews are not about the performances but the superficial things that should not abs does not deserve the poor the ratings they have gotten. I hope this review is helpful for others in areas that are most important about seeking a doctor. I have never waited but a few minutes and sometimes was even seen early as soon as I got there. Give him a chance. He is a miracle worker in my book and will always be thankful for his help and knowledge and expertise and his staff. read more

Went for the first time and had horrible experience! Would not recommend to anyone! The Dr. may be nice, knows his stuff and what he is talking about, but it's his office staffs who are just miserable to deal with at times. Sad part is that there is only 1 manager who controls 3 or 4 offices for this doctor so seems like she is overwhelmed with in-house work and therefore doesn't care about the complaints and the patients at all! Even with the appointment, the wait time is minimum 60-90 minutes. I had to sit in the office and wait 2 hours before the MD finally saw me. On top, the doctor simply ignored my wait time and staff attitude complaints when I told him! They only validate the parking for 1 hour so you are on your own thereafter. There are 2 ladies in this office and they are rude, unfriendly, and extremely moody. One day they will be extremely nice but most of the time rudest at its best! Like I said, the doctor doesn't care and there is only 1 manager for 3-4 offices so she doesn't have a time to call or talk to you. My multiple requests to talk to her and even leaving the messages were simply ignored and never returned. On time manager was at the office but she simple denied to talk to me because "She is very busy" per the front staff! Unfortunately, I had a post surgery bleeding in the middle of the night and went to the ER. I called the office to see when the Dr. can come and see me and was told that he can't come because of his other assignments. When I told them that I have been up since 3 in the morning their rude response was "So is the doctor!" Can you believe this? Interestingly, that evening the doctor did show up and told me that his assignment was in the same hospital! Not sure why the staff told me wrong information and never shown any sympathy! I called the office and asked them for an itemized invoice and both ladies in this office had no idea on what I was talking about. Both kept giving me run around for a month. Again, my multiple requests to talk to the manager was completely ignored. I finally got one invoice after some time but they sent a wrong one. I had to go through the whole ordeal again for a simple itemized invoice before I finally got the right one. Overall, not really happy and impressed. I will definitely not recommend and go to this doctor again. At least, not at this office! read more

The other reviews I find here are completely true. It seems that they PLAN to load the waiting room with appointments, then let them sit until this quack decides that he's made all the money that he can from surgery, for one day, then he'll find his way back to his office. And the waiting room is so small, a sign warns that only patients can wait. Anyone else can wait downstairs. The staff are probably friendly, but it's hard to tell as they're overwhelmed. Not knowing where the doctor might be is only a part of their chores. And yes, long waits are part of the service... My insurance company referred me to Dr. Batniji for specific complaints. I prepared a list for our first meeting, and couldn't help but wonder why this guy wasn't taking notes. But hey, he IS a trained professional, right? Wrong. He didn't concern himself with any of my complaints, instead choosing the course which would let him bill insurance the most he could while investing as small an amount of his time as possible. My total time with "Dr." Batniji was in the area of 10 minutes. My time waiting for this woefully inadequate service was approx 3 hours. And nothing was accomplished. You figure it out. read more

Disgusting and unsanitary! The instruments (Scopes, nasal speculums, nasal sprays, etc.) are used without covers or even wiped down in front of you, so who knows if they even get cleaned; in items left in the rooms, I have seen residue that I can only assume is from other patients. More than that . . . shockingly enough . . . I felt completely and utterly unheard, my complaints seemed to go in one ear and out the other. In short, and allergy test (that I've already had elsewhere) is not going to fix my- CT Scan confirmed- deviated septum. 0/10 would not recommend. read more

My mother was referred to see Dr. Kamal by her primary physician on July 20, 2022, at 11:00 am. When we went into the room to see Dr. Kamal, I did inform him that I was going to be translating for my mother because my mother does not speak English. She only speaks Spanish. Dr. Kamal asked me a series of questions to me to ask my mother. One of the questions that Dr. Kamal asked my mother was "how long have you had these symptoms? My mother answered and said "I have been having these symptoms for more than five years. Dr. Kamal rescinded by asking me (her son) "why haven't you brought her to seek medical attention sooner?" You're a bad son". I responded by stating that my mother has been to her primary physician many times but that this is the first time that she gets a referral to see a specialist for her medical issues. Then he said "your mom has non been able to get that referral due to Obama care". I responded by saying "no, that is not true. Obama care has nothing to do with this". I did not feel comfortable that he was bringing politics into our conversation. Dr. Kamal took a long pause and then said to my mother " You should go back to Mexico and see treatment there". I was in disbelief that he said that to my mother. I did not translate that for my mother. We continued to go on with the consultation. While he was checking my mother's ears, he aggressively took my mother's face mask off. Then he was checking her nose and nostrils also very aggressively. My mother made a sound of discomfort and I pointed out to the doctor to please let me know what he was doing to her so I can inform her as he was analyzing her. Once the consultation was over I did inform the receptionist in the front about the discrimination that my mother and I suffered. This type of conduct is not acceptable to a medical provider. My mother is a victim of racism and prejudice. She is now suffering from distress from this incident. She waited years to finally get the referral to see the specialist and all she got was discrimination. I am not sure if she was discriminated against because she is a medical patient, and only spoke Spanish or her foreign ID. None of that matters. Dr. Batniji has saved my life. I had seen many doctors in different countries as well as here in the US and no one said that I needed surgery for my sinus problems. My quality of living has now improved so immensely that I don't know how to thank Dr. Batniji enough. I can finally breathe!! Dr. has an affable demeanor, which is unusual in Los Angeles. HOwever he can't read an MRI of the neck. He also says his office staff is incapable of putting the CD in a computer and opening the MRI file, a task that even I am able to do on my old laptop. I was referred here to have a Dr. tell me why there is a lump in my neck, swelling pressure under my jaw, pressure in my ear, a crawling feeling in my neck, hoarse voice, AND TO HAVE AN EXPERT LOOK AT THE SOFT TISSUE IN MY MRI. I did not come here for a hearing test. It blows my mind that they pretend they cannot do this vital task. The office staff couldn't even be bothered to try. read more
