Dr. Hribar's is one of the best doctors I've been to. She was the 5th doctor I saw for an eye issue that I suspected might be related to the sinuses. She asked lots of questions and really took the time to understand my issue. I needed to find an ENT and after reading the Yelp reviews for Dr. Hribar, I decided to make an appointment. She books out a ways, so if you're in a hurry, you might have to go elsewhere. I arrived a little early and with all the construction in there area it took me a minute to find the office. She greeted me when I came in (it was just her there when I arrived) and after some paperwork she directed me to an exam room. We talked about my issue and she listened closely and quickly arrived at the likely diagnosis. To be sure she did a quick scope which was odd but not painful. I saw Dr. Kambridge Hribar today for an initial visit. She was thorough, compassionate, diligent, and very willing to work with my other specialists to coordinate my tests and care to ensure that I didn't have to repeat any tests, got a complete work-up to include what she wanted, and she also caught things that my PCP should have been addressing back in March! She ordered blood work to look after the things my PCP failed to address and to make certain nothing fell through the cracks since my PCP left it to me to figure out why I am suffering from unrelenting vertigo and dizziness. I was very impressed. Her office staff is efficient and her assistant followed up with me to confirm that she and my neurologist have coordinated everything. I am very pleased and impressed. I may be in for some unpleasant tests, as Dr. Hribar warned me, but I feel that I am in good, caring, intelligent, diligent hands with her. read more

I was referred to Dr. Hribar by a great audiologist who had a lot of faith in her. But, it seems her practice has gone way downhill. Since the pandemic, she is running her office and consulting patients solely on her own, so maybe that's part of the reason. Her general manner was very rushed and hurried. I should have taken that for the red flag that it was and left the office. I was recovering from a sinus infection and there was ringing in my left ear without any hearing loss. She advised me to go on prednisone to counteract the swelling. When I explained to her my horrendous and unusual reactions to steroids, she pressed the issue, told me that I would be fine, and insisted I take them. I trusted her as she is a doctor. A couple weeks later I land in the ER shaking uncontrollably, sharp chest pain, and the ringing was louder than ever. I call her to tell her that. She calls back a day later and brushes me off telling me there's nothing she can for me. She was clearly trying to rush the conversation. She said she's refer me to the UCSF tinnitus clinic. UCSF never called me. I've called them, but it's basically a huge phone tree. Dr. Hribar didn't tell me who to call there. Well I got a second opinion. I have TMJ issues which is causing the ringing. The ringing is going down as I'm pursuing physical therapy and dental care. The steroids made me tense up making my TMJ issue worse which is why the ringing was worse. It was a horrible experience. She's not trustworthy. She didn't listen to me. She misdiagnosed my issue. I felt disrespected by her hurried attitude. Please find another ENT. read more

Just want to add to the other 5 star reviews here. I came in somewhat embarrassed after a clumsy Q-tip incident that caused bleeding and a big clot to block one ear. Dr. Hribar sized up the situation instantly and realized the best treatment was to wait another week for it to heal. When I returned she expertly removed it. Dr. Hribar basically saved my life. After developing a cough that wouldn't quit, and then a lump on the side of my neck, Dr. Hribar recommended I get a biopsy. The biopsy was inconclusive, so next up Dr. Hribar studied my lab results, and based on those results, she recommended I see the head & neck surgeon at UCSF. The surgeon immediately identified my cancer. Following surgery and then, after a recurrence, radiation and chemo, I appear to have beaten the cancer... at least for now. If it weren't for Dr. Hribar's initial analysis and call to action, the cancer might well have gone undetected for God knows how long. read more

Was having ear pain and pressure for about 10 days. Inke, the assistant called me first thing in the morning with a cancellation spot so I was lucky to get in. Let's start with Inke - she's the first contact by phone or email, and first person to see in the office. She's amazingly welcoming, upbeat, helpful, kind, compassionate, and cheerful. She did a preliminary questioning and told me a few things to relax me about being in a doctor's chair. I was really impressed by her. Dr. Hribar, just followed on Inke's tail...she is an awesome doctor. I agree with everything the other 5 star reviewers said about her. I was impressed with her "let's wait before medicate" attitude, even mentioning some alternative remedies since she knew I prefer using natural things if/when they work. She was clear, kind, grounded, and listened to me and then thought about an appropriate plan of action based on my needs (will I be flying soon? how long can I tolerate some pain? do I need the steroids now? etc.) I highly recommend Dr. Hribar's practice -- plus there are some really nice unique water color scenes from the Alps and other artwork that bring a homey element to the office (the wood beamed ceiling helps too). read more

Dr Hribar is a great ENT doc! I first met her at Dr. Fenn's office when she joined his practice. He was very complimentary of her medical skills and solved some nose bleed issues I Had then. Sometime after Dr.Fenn's retirement she opened up her own practice up the block. I love her new office and her staff. A very caring place. My last experience with s never ending sinus infection she treated with a schedule of fairly simple and easy to use medications on a 5 day schedule that had me breathing clear! My soon to be son in law went to her for a never ending ear infection that had been treated for an ongoing time by well renown ENT in NYC with no success! Dr. Hribar sent him home with a simple solution and instructions and he has been pain free for months now! I can think of nothing that is the least bit unpleasant visitingDr. Hribar! Ended up seeing her back in Oct 2018 for issues with TMJ. She requested I get an MRI to see what was going on but I had postponed it due to illness ( pneumonia ) which had me in and out of the hospital throughout the rest of 2018. My TMJ issues had subsided for a bit until they returned around March 2019. I ended up calling back to have her send another referral for the MRI and after that I called 5 ( yes I kept count and have them logged ) times to make an appointment with her to see if she could help and take a look at my MRI. First time I called nobody answered, called back again the next day and talked to the receptionist and she delivered my message to her, third time I called nobody answered again so I left a voice mail. 3 days later I never got a returned call so I decided to call back and ended up talking to the receptionist again and she told me "I'll make sure you get a call back after our lunch break". Never got a call for the rest of that day so called back again two days later and left another voice mail and still have yet to receive a callback. I can understand being swamped with work and forgetting to return a call but having two voicemail left for you and two messages delivered on the day of the call is not professional at all. 40 mile drive and $30 copay just to see a "doctor" who likes to neglect patients is definitely not worth it. read more

I recently saw Dr Hribar for a chronic cough. Thank you Yelp reviewers, she is all that you said she is and more! Great bedside manner, patient, informative, knowledgeable and very gentle. I was nervous to have a scope into my sinus and down to my throat, she told me she would spray a numbing aerosol and it would not be uncomfortable, and she would go slow. Easy peasy! If you need this procedure don't worry with her. She showed me the video of the procedure and explained it all. Seems like I have silent GERD . She is awesome, I highly recommend her. Dr. Hribar is an excellent physician. She listens and asks appropriate questions to find the root of the problem. She genuinely cares about her patients and helping them. My son saw 3 ENTs over a year - and not one even asked the right questions - and two refused tests. One forced us to buy a mouth guard (way off base) for $500 before doing further tests. Dr. Hribar asked, probed, looked, discussed, tested, asked again and found the problem and solution. It was not overnight but she was totally invested in helping him and each time we met with her she remembered every detail of his situation. I was diagnosed with throat cancer in July of 2013. Dr. Hribar not only provided excellent medical care to me during the diagnosis and treatment, but she was instrumental in getting me an early biopsy, early PET-SCAN, early MRI, expedited pathologist's reports, and immediate transmission of information and advice (even when it involved bad news). She's my advocate and my champion. I trust her with my life. She also takes my discomfort with some procedures seriously enough to take the time to do her work gently, so as to minimize my unease.
