We got in relatively quickly for our initial visit. We were also lucky that he found it pretty early and compared to what I've heard other patients experience his was a more mild case. Though, my son didn't want to go thru what he went thru before. The wound vac, missing school, all that just to have the problem return a couple years later. I really can't think of any suggestions for improvement. Dr. Sternberg is very friendly and super knowledgeable, passionate about helping patients get healed. His staff also perfect. They use an app, and you can message them directly anytime you need help. Anytime you're concerned something might not be right. Seriously the best experience I've ever had with a doctor's office. We are lucky to just live in the South Bay, so we were able to have a short drive home after his post surgery appointment the next day. I would definitely recommend anyone flying to spend several days, maybe a week in SF. If you're driving south I'd definitely recommend you take 280, much less bumpy than 101. I can't recommend this office enough. Even after he was all healed Dr. Sternberg said "once a patient always a patient." If we need anything just to call.

The care, expertise, and support--before, during, and after--were remarkable. The surgery was a success, and we are so glad our Atlanta doctor recommended Dr. Sternberg. If you are questioning whether to travel to San Francisco, CA, to see an unfamiliar doctor for such an invasive surgery, book the flight, hotel, and do it. You will not regret your decision. You can begin living a better quality of life after the surgery and recovery. We will forever be grateful to God for giving Dr. Sternberg the knowledge and passion to change people's lives. Dr. Kim and his staff were absolutely lovely, walking me through everything from the consultation, what to expect on surgery day, after care and so forth. What I really appreciated about the experience was the concierge level service from his office, and his genuine humility and elation when I told him I was very happy with my result. You can tell that Dr. Kim cares, however he won't lie to you and will be realistic about what can be achieved. Surgery is one of those things where its very daunting and scary and you are committing to a personal and permanent change. It took me a long time to pull the trigger and I'm glad I did it and I knew in my bones that I chose correctly.

Before meeting Dr. Kim, I was convinced that he wouldn't be able to help me. After three previous…read morerhinoplasties and dealing with my overly crooked nose and deviated septum, I expected him to tell me--like other plastic surgeons had over the years--to leave my flawed nose alone. To my surprise, after his assistant took pictures from all angles and he examined my nose, he said he could help me and that I was a good candidate! Two months ago, I underwent revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Kim, and I'm extremely happy with the results. He guided me every step of the way regarding what to expect from the surgery. Firstly, he informed me that my nose would be swollen and appear "big" for several months and that it might take up to 1-2 years to settle into its expected shape. He also mentioned that some asymmetry would remain, but that it would be significantly improved. Even while still swollen, I can see a huge improvement, and I've already received compliments from three friends about my new nose. I can breathe better now and have less sinus discharge. Most importantly, I no longer feel self-conscious about my nose. Each day, it seems to be getting a bit smaller, which is exciting. The renditions he provided of what my new nose would look like closely match how my nose appeared right after surgery before the swelling began. I would recommend Dr. Kim to anyone unhappy with their nose. I only wish I had found him sooner.

Despite the significant changes made to my nose during my rhinoplasty, I didn't even bruise! I'm healing well, and I couldn't have asked for better results! I cannot stress enough how wonderful Dr. Ransom's team is. As someone who is usually a bit nervous with medical procedures, I really appreciate how empathetic and attentive his team is. Holly and Emily were very responsive and helpful with scheduling, notes, etc. Yesenia was amazing at answering all of my questions about my prescriptions and aftercare. Although I had my procedure done early 2025, I had to write this review because my experience at…read moreDr. Ransom's office has been haunting me. I needed a blepharoplasty for my heavy eyelids and found Dr. Ransom on Yelp listed as an excellent, kind, friendly doctor. The consultation was great, Dr. Ransom listened to exactly what I wanted, assured me that not too much would be removed and was very kind. I felt like I was going to be in good hands. A woman at the office took me into another room, showed me some before and after pictures, (though I'm not sure she made note of which ones I liked), and I asked how long is the recovery time, she said "Oh just a week, you can have your procedure Monday and stitches removed Friday." Great, I took a week off. Monday, the day of procedure, before the procedure, we were in a room and Dr. Ransom was getting things together in a rush. I was surprised he didn't confirm what we talked about or go over what he about to do. So I said, "just a little off eyelids and subtle right?" He just said "right" as he was assembling things. I asked "can you please go over the procedure?" and he did. At the beginning of the procedure, his Assistant placed a slightly adhesive pad on the side of my belly, (to monitor my vitals during the procedure). He injected anesthetic around my right eye, then my left eye, (though I noted that he didn't inject/spend as much time injecting my left eye). The procedure was going well, I felt no pain as he starting on my right eye, (though it was unsettling that Dr. Ransom and his Assistant were having casual conversation while working on my eyes-I know he must have done this procedure hundreds of times before, but still - this is my face). Towards the end, Dr. Ransom spent a good amount of time with the stitches on my right eye, but when he started on my left eye, I really felt pain, said it really hurts and "Ow." I realized he must have run out of anesthetic in his syringe when he got to my left eye and just didn't bother to get another syringe. Instead of stopping to give me more anesthetic, he just kept saying, "we're almost done, we're almost done." After reeling from that, his Assistant proceeded to slowly tear off the adhesive pad on my belly, (which is slightly hairy), and I yelped "Ouch!" I was too caught off guard to tell him to just rip the pad off like a bandaid and the Assistant kept saying "sorry, sorry" as he continued to slowly tear off the pad. After I continued to say "ouch, ouch!", Dr. Ransom said, "Oh your little hairs." So in addition to being in pain, I'm now belittled. Feeling terrible from this, I got dressed, shuffled to the Receptionist and scheduled stitches to removed that Friday. Close to Friday, the Receptionist called me to say my appointment was moved to Monday. I said but I took this week off and have to go back to work Monday. She said the doctor said I would get better results if I waited a couple more days to have the stitches removed. It seemed like a lie because why did they have schedule the appt for Friday originally? Silence from her, implying there is nothing I can do about it. Following the appointment, to minimize scars, I was to have 3 small laser zaps at the ends of each eye, administered by the Assistant. I have deep horizontal creases at the ends of my eyes, (had them for a long time), and I asked the Assistant if there was a procedure to address those. He said maybe some filler can help with the "canyons." I had to laugh at the exaggeration and cruelty of the term. I looked at him when he said it and I honestly believe he wasn't trying to be mean, that really was the word that came to his mind. Although ultimately results of the blepharoplasty were perfect, due to the experiences above, I just can not bring myself to go back to that office. I do believe Dr. Ransom is kind, it just may be another situation of having too many clients lined up back-to-back.

Gross Lack of Medical Ethics -- License Should Be Revoked I…read morewas referred to this doctor by a gynecologist due to a hemorrhoid condition. When the doctor entered the consultation room, I attempted to explain my symptoms, but he completely ignored me and simply instructed me to lie on the examination table on my side. After approximately two minutes, he left the room without providing any explanation. A nurse then informed me that the procedure had been completed and that I could go home to rest. However, no post-operative care instructions were given, only that I would recover within a few days. Throughout the entire process, the doctor neither asked about my condition nor explained the nature of my hemorrhoids or the treatment being performed. Moreover, the procedure was carried out without my consent. After returning home, I experienced pain in the anal area, though it was initially tolerable. By the fourth day, three hemorrhoids (each about the size of a large grape) had prolapsed from the anus, causing significant pain and difficulty walking. By the fifth day, there was still no improvement. I called the clinic to request to speak with the doctor and understand what was happening, but the nurse stated that the doctor would not be available. Even if I visited in person, I would simply be told to go home and rest, and that recovery would occur within eight to ten days. By the tenth day, the pain had become unbearable, more severe than childbirth. As it was during the Thanksgiving holiday, I was unable to reach the doctor and had no choice but to seek help at the hospital emergency department. The medical staff were shocked by my condition and immediately referred me to the emergency unit. However, the doctors there were also unable to provide definitive treatment and could only prescribe pain medication, advising me to consult a specialist. An emergency physician later contacted Dr. Yee to understand the procedure and inform him of my condition, but he merely stated that I could see him again in two days. A responsible physician should have followed up immediately under such circumstances, and ideally should have come to the hospital to assess the patient's condition--especially given that he had personally performed the procedure. Due to the severity of the pain, which was close to the highest level imaginable, the emergency physician admitted me to the hospital and prescribed hydrocodone (opioid) 5-325 mg for pain management. I remained hospitalized for five days, during which specialist care was provided. Hospital staff generally believed that the surgical approach was problematic and overly aggressive, as attempting to treat three hemorrhoids at once led to failure. During my stay, Dr. Piyushu Aggarwal demonstrated great care and professionalism. By the fourth day, he successfully reduced the hemorrhoids back into place and arranged for three separate banding procedures, one per month. Each procedure was successful and involved minimal pain. I am very satisfied with his care and would highly recommend him. A doctor who lacks medical ethics, responsibility, and regard for patient safety and well-being should not continue performing surgical procedures. I also hope that no one else will have to endure the same pain and helplessness that I experienced.
