After three previous…read morerhinoplasties and dealing with my overly crooked nose and deviated septum, I expected him to tell me--like other plastic surgeons had over the years--to leave my flawed nose alone. To my surprise, after his assistant took pictures from all angles and he examined my nose, he said he could help me and that I was a good candidate! Two months ago, I underwent revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Kim, and I'm extremely happy with the results. He guided me every step of the way regarding what to expect from the surgery. Firstly, he informed me that my nose would be swollen and appear "big" for several months and that it might take up to 1-2 years to settle into its expected shape. He also mentioned that some asymmetry would remain, but that it would be significantly improved. Even while still swollen, I can see a huge improvement, and I've already received compliments from three friends about my new nose. I can breathe better now and have less sinus discharge. Most importantly, I no longer feel self-conscious about my nose. Each day, it seems to be getting a bit smaller, which is exciting. The renditions he provided of what my new nose would look like closely match how my nose appeared right after surgery before the swelling began. I would recommend Dr. Kim to anyone unhappy with their nose. I only wish I had found him sooner.

I regret using Dr. Kim to do my first revision. It's been 14 months post Op and every day since…read moreavoiding mirrors and hating my reflection. This surgery cost $36,000, took 6.5 hour under anesthesia, was a painful rib graft and I have nothing but severe regret. I had a nasal valve collapse on the left side which caused breathing issues. Those breathing issues are still not resolved and now I'm left with a nose that looks worse than before and even more compromised breathing from the right side. We never discussed shortening my nose and he left me with a bulky, short nose that looks nothing like the morph we discussed. I should have trusted my gut when we couldn't align on a morph and walked away. My front view shows the uneven nostrils that no one would want to look at daily. Not sure why he shortened my SEG when doing so would reveal uneven nostrils. I'm a tall person and a short bulky nose doesn't fit my face. The day of surgery I was obviously super nervous and I tried to go through the plan again and he seemed rushed and dismissed the morph I brought with. My husband was shocked at how Greenbrae surgery center just dumped me in the car after. No one called him and Dr. Kim definitely didn't call him to let him how I did after a 6.5 hour surgery. My primary treated us much better and was 1/3 the price. Dr. Kim seemed rushed to start his vacation and I regret trying to schedule surgery when he was leaving the country shortly after my operation. The worst part is I still can not breathe from the right side. It's always stuffy and feels so bulky. Breathing out feels like the LCSG is obstructing the exhale. He used my own rib which he told me was calcified. Therefore I'm guessing calcified rib is hard to carve small. When I told him at cast off I couldn't breathe from the right side, he abruptly closed the left side to try to prove I could breathe better from the right side. Breathing out is still obstructed. Dr. Kim's demeanor changes once you start to question his work. Cast off was extremely traumatic as my nose was so swollen the photos they took I look like a troll. I assumed at cast off we would talk through what he found in my nose and go through his findings. This was not the case. For paying as much as I did I was basically rushed out. If he took the time to review his post op notes especially to a patient traveling from across the country it would have left me in a better frame of mind. Instead I cried my entire cab ride back to the hotel. My LCSG is hanging in my left nostril. It's huge and bulky and painful when it's cold outside. My left side nostril continuously run and its embarrassing and disgusting. Had he ever once explained that I would need LCSG grafts I would have waited on this surgery or sought another opinion. None of these doctors want to explain that this graft makes your nose hard as a rock and heavy. I still don't even think I needed it as my tip never was collapsed. The spreader graft was all we discussed to open the valve. It was the worst summer of my life where I spent every day crying and not recognizing myself. I am gutted every time I look at photos before this surgery with him. When I told him I was unhappy he tried to suggest BDD and said 90% of his patients have this. That is NOT the case. His lack of listening to the patients desired aesthetics and his lack of feminine aesthetics should not be turned around on the patient like that. The left side is full of scar tissue b/c I can no longer scrunch my nose. There is no after care with Dr. Kim. He takes the cast off and will take a few phone calls but he has no recos to tape, no HBOT recos, you will be driving that train with him. I now need to muster up the courage to start consulting revision doctors at my year mark and decide if I can withstand going through the emotional turmoil of a 3rd operation to my face/nose to correct the liberties he took with my face. The healing and swelling post revision is awful. The cost of a revision is high and the outcomes aren't always good.

I am writing this review in the hope that others will truly think twice before choosing Karen…read moreHorton as their surgeon. I underwent a breast lift with implants. From the beginning after surgery, I noticed serious issues. One breast sits higher and is larger than the other, and I was told it would settle, but it never did. My nipples are now significantly larger due to over-stretching and are positioned so high that I cannot comfortably wear many normal tops or swimsuits. I also have permanent nerve damage. I have 0 sensation, and my scarring is uneven and extensive. When I brought my concerns to her, I was told by Karen I would need a revision, which was incredibly upsetting in itself. However, what was even more disheartening was the lack of care or follow-up afterward. The only communication I received from the office consisted of impersonal emails asking me to vote for Dr. Horton for "Best Of" awards or to leave a positive review, rather than any genuine concern for what I was going through. Before writing this, I sought out three separate consultations with other board-certified surgeons. All three confirmed the same thing: the work was poorly done, my breasts were completely botched, and I would require a full revision. I have since had my revision surgery with an amazing surgeon who did the absolute best he could to correct everything Karen had done to me. Unfortunately, much of the damage from my surgery with Karen is irreversible, and I'll forever have to live with a lot of the damage she did to me. Not to mention, Karen did not want to release my surgical records to my new surgeon so he could perform my revision. He had to personally contact her so we could finally get the paperwork. Once the paperwork was provided, we were surprised to see that Karen had self documented a diagnosis of body dysmorphia in my records, despite never having been diagnosed with that condition by a mental health professional. I actually love my body but wanted to make improvements to my breasts after having a child. Do not be swayed by awards, presentation, or the impression given during consultations and pre-operative appointments. I spent over $38k on this surgery with Karen to be absolutely botched. I don't believe she should be practicing at all after what she has done to my body and everything I have heard from many, many other surgeons after they saw my breasts and after my revision surgery as well. I would never want anyone else to go through what I have experienced. Fast forward to this year, I read that Dr. Rajagopal was the number one Renuva provider in the country and her website stated that numbing cream was used. I was terrified of more pain but hopeful that this experience would be less painful. At this office, numbing cream was literally applied to my face for 30 minutes and then ice was applied afterwards. Although the injections were still painful, they were much more tolerable. Dr. Rajagopal has a gentle hand, a kind demeanor, and good aesthetic sense. I've seen four other different plastic surgeons but Dr. Rajagopal has given me the most faith in doctors. I wish that I had known about her earlier. I would definitely come here for Renuva injections or other treatments as needed. They are not inexpensive at 2500 for 3 cc. Dr. Rajagopal clearly cares about people and their comfort. This is very important as any surgery or injection is a stressful experience so bedside manners and genuine concern is priceless. The only odd thing was that I was presented the bill during numbing by a staff member. Payment is expected after treatment and I knew the cost beforehand so it was strange to get the bill during the middle of the procedure and then after the procedure again. I would have been happy to pay in advance if they are worried about people leaving without paying. In any case, the office staff was nice. There was easy and free private parking provided. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Rajagopal for her keen aesthetic eye and caring demeanor.

I love my arms so much, even with the scars, which are still young and will heal and fade further. Scar tape works incredibly well and is a very low cost resource I highly recommend. For me, Dr. Xu's personality, her skill set, and her eye for esthetics are simply incredible. It is also clear that the office team is trying to provide an experience for their clients to feel welcomed, held, cared about, and supported throughout the process, including into recovery. One thing I would prepare others for who are considering this option is that the surgery center and anesthesiologist were an expensive part of the overall package. While I trust and feel confident with Dr. Xu, there are other people who also support the surgery. The anesthesiologist was trying to put an iv in my foot, which was painful, before Dr. Xu arrived and advised him to put me under first. That seems like something the anesthesiologist, with all his years of experience, should have known to do himself. The surgery itself went beyond the estimated time and both the surgery center and anesthesiologist had additional fees, increasing the overall cost by ~2k. With that said, I do highly recommend Dr. Xu to others. Go meet her and her team and hear her thoughts and see if what she can offer will meet your needs.

Instructions were given, was prescribed a few things, shot was given and then asked for a follow up. Was out the consultation room in less than 10 minutes. What I didn't have a good experience with is the company's practice and lack of professionalism when it comes to billing and insurance / credit card retention. I gave them my insurance information 5x and they still did not keep my in-network insurance on file until I asked them to charge my $40 copay the afternoon of my visit after I realized that there's definitely a copay for that visit. I called 4x before someone answered. During the call to pay my copay, it turns out the front desk person I met did not put my information in despite saying she did. What she did keep was my credit card information that they refuse to delete despite me never signing any form to justify it. This practice will try to make you sign a form that forces you to keep a payment card on file, have it charged without notification when there is a bill and forgo your right to dispute the charge if there's a discrepancy in billing. I shared the image of the form below. The front desk personnel will also hound you if you don't put your personal address and ssn on the forms. I gave them my address but the fd still refused to acknowledged that I wrote it down. I generally have payment cards stored for copayments at other practices. However, I have never had practice (or worked at a practice) that has these terms and conditions. It feels almost predatory and extremely insensitive. I understand when bills are due they are due. However, not saving my insurance information when I gave it multiple times, refusing to acknowledge I had filled the health forms online and even written down my address. Is just terrible practice as someone who also works in the medical field. I even emailed the team and offered them to submit the insurance claim myself just to ensure that it does get billed to them first. I even asked for a patient ledger once it's done cause I need to know my claim gets billed correctly. Furthermore, they do store you whole card information on their computer system and not an secure off-site institution as they claim, cause the FD on the phone confirming my copay was able to repeat the card number from front to back. Trust me this is not standard practice at medical offices or even businesses. At most the only card info a business would have is the last 4 digits of the card and it's expiration. Not the whole card's information I did not sign anything (their green agreement policy) that authorizes them to charge my card without my consent or say so cause I am not tardy on bills. (If I was why would I called 3 hours later to pay my copay immediately) But treating every new or existing patient like they are out for free service gives the impression that it's money first before your health by a long-shot. Most practices I've been to are not like this The whole fiasco about not wanting to save my insurance so they bill me directly instead cemented my experience at this practice. The doctor may be nice but the billing system and practice is definitely flawed. It's almost like they operate more like a beauty spa/ clinic than an actual medical facility for people with skin conditions. The administrative staff seem unwilling to actually do their role besides pushing you to fill out the green agreement form (pictured below), give card information and your address to ensure they can bill you instead and then send you to collections. Everything but sending the claim to insurance it seems. Definitely won't be back and will follow up to ensure they do send my claims, and would not recommend this practice to any patient needing care without the administrative stress.

However, my last visit left me a little disappointed because while it was extremely relaxing and the service was great, I'm not so happy with how my actual nails turned out :-( I did the Volcano Spa service for both my pedicure and manicure which were absolutely lovely, along with gel remove and gel on both my fingers and toes. The 10 minutes of massage for both were so nice, especially the shoulders and upper back that came with the manicure. But during the gel remove, the gel on my fingers was removed with the drill. It was the same on my toes but I don't have an issue there. Normally I wouldn't mind, but my natural fingernails were drilled down so thin that even though I cut my nails short, they're ripping at the ends with normal daily wear and tear. I went on Saturday morning and I've had two nails rip at the ends already and it is only Tuesday morning. I'm not sure if it was because I came in with long nails already (imagine asking for a medium-long set) and they may have been mistaken for gel-x or something of the sort, but it was just my natural nails with gel on top. I can even feel on all of my fingernails just how thin they were drilled down because suddenly all my nails are very flimsy, even with several gel coats on top. The rest of the service and experience were great, so it's a bit disappointing to feel like I regret how much I paid because of how weak my fingernails became after this appointment. Regardless I would still return in the future if I want the pampering experience, but if I can do without the massage and just need my nails done I may choose another salon instead. Just something to note if you're someone who is worried about your nail strength. UPDATE 8/4 9:48PM: Another nail ripped pretty far down just from scratching my head :-(

Two stars off for a pretty bad experience today but three stars for the owner, Jenny, her kindness…read moreand artistry. Jenny did a beautiful job on my daughter's nails in early July, gel-x. A very tasteful, custom design for an 11 y.o. They lasted almost 4 weeks but finally time to take them off. We made an appt for 2:30 today and due to Jenny not getting the message we had to wait about 30-40 minutes. Not the biggest deal, really nice out and our favorite boba spot just a few blocks down Polk St. When we got back the other woman in the shop started taking off the gels, they were taking a while to saturate enough to fully remove so the cotton with acetone and foil had to stay on longer. My daughter's fingers started burning and when we let them know, Jenny prompted the other woman to take a look. Not ready yet so while the owner was finishing up with another client this other woman needed to take care of it. At one point a customer had to ask this other woman to help my daughter, that she would kindly wait. It took over an hour to remove and clean up her nails, no manicure after. Two hours later my daughter's poor fingers are still burning. Jenny was quite apologetic and adjusted the price as a courtesy. We love Jenny but maybe she needs some more support in her shop.

A time machine does exist and it is called Dr. Albert Chow. An Endoscopic facelift and brow lift was my 4th surgical procedure with Dr. Chow. I've seen him dozens of times over 10 years for filler and botox. I've referred dozens of clients to him for surgery, filler and botox. As a licensed esthetician I have received thank you notes for simply REFERRING him. At 52, I just felt I wanted the most natural result for full face rejuvenation of droopy brows and the beginning of jowls. A brow lift and endoscopic face lift was what he recommended. My husband was skeptical but he had to concede it was entirely worth it. One week after my surgery he simply said, "Astonishing. The face of your 30's is back." My biggest fear was looking "done." Once the swelling subsided I was stunned, truly stunned. Everything was back where nature once put it. No wind tunnel effect, no joker look, no Joan Rivers', may she rest in peace look, it was just me, like before with no visible scars. The pain was minimal, the cost reasonable, the care exceptional, and the results exceeded my hopes. Dr Chow has the patience of a saint, a kind and empathic bedside manner, the skill of an experienced triple board certified surgeon, and the artistic sense of Michelangelo. As an esthetician I KNOW people are scared to have surgery. I am scared to have surgery but with Dr. Chow, Patsy, Jennifer, and nurse Paula you are in excellent hands. EXCELLENT. I've also had different anesthesiologists and they have all been reassuring, board certified, and skilled. As an esthetician in private practice for over 15 years I see clients trying EVERYTHING to avoid surgery. EVERYTHING. I also see people really really frustrated with things that can be fixed, with surgery. Let me tell you this.. If skin issues plague you such as hyperpigmentation, scaring, etc then a laser may help. It will not help if age has caused your muscles to droop. Even the ones that claim to tighten will only tighten skin. Past a certain point it just won't make enough of a real difference for most people. I've seen countless clients try thermage, ultherapy, thermi-tight, Titan, etc and perhaps these people look better in the long run for having done it and stimulated the collagen. However these treatments in my professional experience, have never resulted in the natural yet WOW moment that a face lift provides. Also, some of these treatments may limit your ability to have a successful facelift down the road if you choose to so because of the scar tissue that is build up. That is for a doctor to discuss but it is very important to note. One other thing worth mentioning is Dr. Chow will only do what is in your best interest. He will not hesitate to tell you "No, not yet, better to wait." Also, he has the best eye. From lips to liposuction his suggestions for less and not more were spot on with me both times. I am so grateful I can trust him to do the right thing every single time. Dr. Chow certainly found his calling. Integrity, an artist's eye, and supreme skill as a surgeon make him a one in a million find. Add in his kind, competent office staff and surgical team and he can make a scary experience an easy one with thrilling results. read more

My name is John. I had a disastrously botched rhinoplasty when I was 20 years old. All my cartilage had been removed, my septum was twisted and perforated and turbinates damaged. For most of my adult life I've lived in excruciating discomfort. Dr. Jack Sheen, who is considered the father of Rhinoplasty revisions, said it was one of the worst botches he had ever seen. I'm 49 now and have had 11 surgeries to repair my nose. My last surgery was in 2008. Since then my nose had been stable with relief from discomfort. In June of this year I had a trauma to my nose that caused the lateral nose cartilage graphs to completely collapse and displaced and my nose become twisted. The collapse caused breathing problems and severe headaches. The pinching as a result of the collapse even made speaking difficult. It was a return to the dark days of chronic pain and discomfort. Since the surgeon who did my last four surgeries had retired, I had to start over again. I searched from San Francisco to Los Angeles to find the best surgeon. I researched thoroughly and met with no less than 15 surgeons, including several here in SF. Despite my pleas that I couldn't live with this discomfort, the surgeons nervously feared that -- considering my complicated history -- surgery would be too risky. In hindsight, they simply didn't have the confidence nor the skill needed for the challenge. I finally circled back with Dr. Albert Chow. He first insisted I wait two months to see what the "trajectory" would be in my recovery. He was wise and methodical in his approach. Once it was determined that my nose was not healing, Doctor Chow agreed to operate. The surgery took all day. Dr Chow -- a real perfectionist -- went above and beyond the call of duty. His attention to detail was unparalleled. The doctor removed the tremendous amount of scar tissue that accumulated, reset the nasal bone, surgically removed ear cartilage to use in the rebuilding of my twisted tip, and realigned the displaced lateral cartilage. While other surgeons buckled in the face of this challenge, Dr. Chow enthusiastically embraced it. It was like night and day. I knew I was in confident capable hands when he slid up that morning pre surgery with an excited yet relaxed smile on his face -- as if to say "this is going to be fun." The doctor is very skilled, confident and loves his work. He's a perfectionist. I am no longer in discomfort and the shape of my nose, which was twisted from the trauma, has been improved I know this sounds dramatic but the doctor changed my life. There is something special about Doctor Chow. He is both unassuming and yet has an almost spiritual aura to him. He's not a tireless self promoter and -- to be honest -- I think people, such as me, can be fooled by those who are. My nose history is complicated, and after an accident left me with a collapsed valve on the left nasal passage, I couldn't breathe, sleep, or concentrate. Bloody discharge. Crusting. Infections. An inability to speak clearly because of the congestion and pinching sensation. The unescapable pain made maintaining life impossible. Initially I went through my HMO Kaiser, where every plastic surgeon trivialized my condition. When the issue was pushed further with the department, it was acknowledged that the team of doctors did not have confidence in their abilities to perform the surgery and to protect their reputation trivialized it. Simply put: none of them had the skills by Kaiser's own admission. Dr. Chow did have such skill, experience, confidence, and courage. The surgery was complex. He took bone from my skull and embedded it carefully on the bridge to open my nasal passage. He performed the surgery in June. It transformed my life. He even took a video of the surgery to show the inside of my nose to show the collapse and prove the necessity of the surgery to Kaiser. Talk about going above the call of duty. Dr. Chow deserves the many fine reviews! I was happy to recommend that my best friend consult with Dr. Chow and he was delighted with the thorough, patient, and knowledgeable interview as well as the excellent suggestions for improvements. In addition, his excellent office staff made processing for surgery expeditious and was always available to arrange scheduling changes to accommodate my friend's business schedule. As a retired anesthesiologist, I have worked with more than 14 plastic surgeons over 30 years, Dr. Chow is among the best! He is excellently trained with three medical board certifications, including the most relevant and important one specifically in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Observing his operations, I have been continually impressed by his analytic conceptual approach, esthetic judgment, surgical skills, and excellent results. He has a doubly accredited office operating room approved for outpatient surgery by both Medicare and the American Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers. This facility is well maintained and well equipped for surgery and anesthesia. All of his anesthesiologists are Board Certified and the surgical records are periodically reviewed by the whole staff for quality control and opportunities for improvement. Dr. Chow is personable, attentive, and enthusiastic. He and his office are happy to spend the time to respond to patient's preoperative and postoperative concerns. First i want to say that this must be one of the best investments i have ever made in my life! Dr Chow was truly amazing!!!!! I went in for breast implants and the result was extremely natural and exactly what i wanted it. I was my first plastic surgery, i was really nervous when i went in for the free consultation. Dr chow and his colleagues (Hi Cassandra!) gave me a detailed information on the different options that i have and also the risks involved. They are just all sooooo nice~~~~ They also let you try on the different sizes in order to help you picking out the right size for your body shape. They are not pushy and u can tell that they are all very professional and experienced. Even after the surgery, Cassandra would follow-up with you and Dr chow will also schedule a several free follow-up sessions for you to make sure that everything was going the right direction. I'm really relaly satisfied with the result, no one can tell it was implants, it looked so good and perky. I was always self-conscious with my original size, i didnt even go for too big, now i have very Full B/small C, looks so much better!!!!!!! Made me more confident and my tops just fit better(byebye NuBra and thick paddings) They are Very soft too, even my mom said it looks natual and different than what she expected from *asian mom, tsk tsk* Anyways, DR chow is always very nice and professional, make u feel comfortable. Dr Chow just finished revising the fat grafts to my undereye area, this is the 4th procedure after tummy tuck, breast implant replacement, and forehead lift, all four done at the same time. The fat grafts didn't take and he repeated the surgery and revised the tummy tuck scar which was "puffy at the ends" for a very reasonable surgery room fee of $500, no charge for his time or repeat surgery. It's been 5 weeks and I can honestly say I am beyond pleased with all 4 surgeries! My breast implant replacement from saline to silicone are so much more natural and softer. He removed a large amount of excess skin from my stomach from three pregnancies the second one with twins left me with sharpei like skin, originally I just wanted the skin removed but the doctor felt my muscles were stretched out as well and recommended a full tummy tuck, he was right! My stomach is back to my prebaby days! I wouldn't go anywhere else and would highly recommend him to family and friends. He's an artist, meticulous, patient, and generous with his time. I was in need of some emergency work and searched and googled for surgeons to consult with. Dr. Chow was one of several I wanted to speak with and after meeting with him, I knew I didn't need to look any further. I decided on Dr. Chow after reading positive reviews on him and knowing that he has great educational and professional credentials. Many people said he was very personable and kind, which were important characteristics to me. Everything turned out beautifully, from the first appointment to the surgery and the post-op visits. This is a long overdue review of the fantastic job Dr. Chow has carried out. I have undergone rhinoplasty surgery with him and he put all my fears aside from the first appointment. I was very scared of the post operation condition which I thought I would be in, but it was painless! He is so experienced that his incisions caused minimal to no-damage. I found Dr. Chow from a recommendation on the Berkeley Parent's Network. I have had plastic surgery a couple of times before and never went back to the same doctors. I visited many doctors but finding the right one isn't easy. Everyone can talk about the benefits of plastic surgery and show you pictures but finding the right surgeon who is highly competent, patient and artistically gifted is everything with this type of work. Over the course of a few years, I've had different major procedures w/Dr. Chow (rhinoplasty, eyelid, fat-transfer) and that's because I've had great results and trusted him to do additional work. I'm a fairly discerning and critical person, so in my book he's the best. read more

Dr. Chow did my lips last month and I love them!!! First he gave me a "dental block" so I did not feel any of the injections. I was really worried about them being too big and they are perfect! Some of my best friends have noticed (and are super jealous) but anyone else just thinks I have amazing lips! I had my lips done in Los Angeles a year before and had really had bruising after. Dr. Chow did such a good job that I had no bruising and the swelling was gone after the weekend! His pricing is really reasonable for San Francisco. Two weeks ago, Dr. Albert Chow did a fantastic job on removing my huge mole from my face and underarm. The incision procedure was painless and it went extremely well. I just have my stitches removed yesterday, and it was also quick and painless. The incision sites are healing up pretty well. Dr. Chow is not only a very talented and skillful plastic surgeon, but he is also a very kind and caring person. I would highly recommend him to anyone for cosmetic surgeries. Where to even begin? I LOVE Dr B and his office crew. Dr Bermudez is not only exceptionally skilled…read moreat his craft, his practice is run with an exceptional level of integrity andd transparency. He leans just a bit more conservative and natural in his aesthetic sensibilities vs that average already very conservative and natural approach in the Bay Area and he has a sculptors eye, in addition to being an excellent plastic surgeon he is also an artist and created all of the sculptures adorning his office! I met Dr B when my infant son needed earwells and the wait at UCSF was too long to get in within the recommended treatment window - little did I know what a stroke of luck this was for my family. I'd done my research ahead of time and watched countless videos of earwell treatment (a non surgical ear reshaping procedure for newborns) where a doctor just pops the mold on real quick so that was my expectation. Not Dr B, he took time consulting with me and assessing my son's ears and their symmetry, I think he sensed that I was a little nervous and he told me that he had done his own daughter's earwells which I found very comforting. Then I watched as he very carefully and precisely used the earwell components to sculpt and shape my son's ears into a perfect shape being careful that both sides would come out the same. The level of care and attention that Dr B gave to the procedure was like nothing I'd seen in all my research. Quality was top notch for sure but then his office worked their magic on the billing and I was able to get my son this treatment at no out of pocket cost which was an extremely pleasant surprise. I decided to see Dr Bermudez for injectables when I started noticing some issues that needed a careful eye and Dr B came through for me again. It wasn't my first time getting Botox but I'd never gotten this level of care or patient education. Dr B first talked with me about options for the issue I wanted to address including risks/benefits/long v short term cost - he followed my lead but offered his opinion when asked. Then he took a look at my face and walked me through his thinking as well as a cliffs notes in facial musculature and anatomy. I have never felt so comfortable. The injections were super easy too thanks to his super powerful numbing cream and the results are truly extraordinary. You pay more per unit with Dr B but it is so worth it. Most of my friends get Botox and even so they were shocked to learn that my refreshed look was thanks to the tox too. It just looks like my face reverse aged with none of the telltale frozen cheer mom look, IYKYK. I will never let anyone else touch my face with injectables again. Finally, when I first went to see Dr B I read his reviews and saw folks mentioning bringing their family members to Dr Bermudez and I admit I thought that was weird but then I brought a family member in because when you trust someone like I trust Dr B you just don't want your family going anywhere else. Anyways Dr Bermudez won over my family member with his bedside manner and talked them out of a cosmetic procedure they were considering (this guy is the real deal with the integrity). They ended up deciding to see him for injectables and got some great aesthetic and medical advice in their consult and walked away feeling confident in their next steps. Dr Bermudez and his team are the best.

I had CO2 laser of face, neck and chest over a year ago and still dealing with redness around eyes…read moreand chest area that wasn't blended to have less of a demarcation to skin that wasn't lasered . The eye redness he noted was from something I did (false, I followed his post-op regimen) and he had no remedy for it . I sought outside opinions and most noted it was a bit excessive and to wait and if the eye redness didn't fade to then try to laser it with a laser specifically for red or get an injection 5fu to help the deep red scarring. The chest after a year still doesn't match and was told if I'm lucky the pigment may come back . He also took an additional Hour of OR time which cost me another $1000 at Hayes valley surgery center in SF. I've been told by several laser experts it should have taken less Then 1 hour if equipment and skill were correct. So as a retired OR nurse I've never spoke poorly of a surgeon but as they say there's a first for everything ! I'm hoping this saves others from the anguish and cost of a poorly done procedure ! Do your homework - I should have done more !

I had an appointment scheduled, I called that morning to ask if it was possible to move the time up. The lady on the phone said yes and moved my appointment to 45 minutes earlier. I arrived on time, checked in, and was told to have a seat. After waiting 45 minutes, I went back to the desk to ask when I might be seen. The brunette receptionist rudely said, "It's gonna be a while." When I asked, "Longer than the 45 minutes I've already waited?" she coldly replied, "Yup." She never apologized or explained the delay, and I don't understand why they agreed to move my appointment earlier if they were already overbooked. I wasted a lot of time on a busy day. It's unfortunate because Dr. Struck is wonderful, but some of his staff made the experience very disappointing.

VERY DISAPPOINTED AFTER 4 YEARS…read more We are extremely disappointed with the outcome of my daughter's surgery and with our experience with Dr. Mehta. From the very beginning, we made it very clear that improving the tip of her nose was extremely important to us. My daughter specifically told Dr. Mehta before surgery that she wanted the tip to look nice and hoped for a feminine, refined "Barbie nose" appearance. This was a major part of what she wanted from the surgery. After the surgery, when Dr. Mehta spoke with me, the very first thing he told me was, "I didn't do the tip. I didn't want to cut the sides." I was shocked because we had repeatedly discussed the importance of the tip before surgery. At that point, I felt that something we had specifically asked for had not been done. For the past four years, we were repeatedly told that her nose would continue to improve as she healed and that everyone heals differently. During those years, my daughter also had to go through multiple injections and treatments in an attempt to improve the appearance of the tip. Unfortunately, after four years, we have seen essentially no improvement in the tip. Her nose tip remains uneven, and she is now being told that she may need a second surgery to correct it. What is most upsetting to me is that if Dr. Mehta believed from the beginning that he could not or did not want to address the tip in the way we requested, that should have been clearly explained to us before surgery. We could then have made an informed decision about whether to proceed. I understand that every patient heals differently and that no surgeon can guarantee a perfect result. However, after four years, our concern is not simply that the result is different from what we expected. It is that an important part of what my daughter specifically asked to have addressed was apparently not performed, despite our repeated discussions about it beforehand. My daughter has been unhappy and self-conscious about her tip for the past four years, and it is extremely difficult as a parent to watch her go through that after trusting a surgeon with such an important decision. We chose Dr. Mehta believing that he would listen carefully to what my daughter wanted and communicate honestly about what could and could not be achieved. Unfortunately, that is not the experience we had. We sincerely wish we had received clearer communication before the surgery, because we would have made a different decision if we had known the tip would not be addressed.
