I am in love with this place! The decor is amazing and the salon was easy to find. I followed Jordana from R Salon and I honestly will never go anywhere else now. I did the one no-no when it comes to coloring hair and used a box color to color my hair purple. I explained to Jordana that I had used 4 layers of color in the last few months and wanted to be blonde again. She did a strand test to make sure my hair could handle it and it did. What Jordana accomplished with my hair and the color correction is truly a miracle and I've never been happier. I knew she could lighten it but she more than exceeded my expectations. She takes the time to discuss with you the process and the results that you as a customer are seeking. I will, without a doubt, continue to give my business to Jordana at Kami Sori. I moved here three years ago from Buffalo, NY and struggled to find a hair stylist until I met Roger. Roger cut and colored my hair for the first time back in July 2019 and I will never go to another hair stylist again. Being from Buffalo, I usually wait to get my hair done for the holidays by my stylist of 7+ years once I am back in my hometown. However, I made sure that I was able to get a hair appointment scheduled with Roger before returning home for the holidays. I am very particular with the type of blonde color I have in my hair and Roger has been the only hair stylist in both Arizona and Buffalo who has mastered the blonde I've been looking for. He not only provides the hair service you need but the social aspect as well. Sitting in Roger's chair, you feel like you've known him longer than you have. Super disappointed. I have box died hair that is warm with ends that have been balyaged, and grays in roots but all blends in except the grays. I went in for cut w Carly. The cut was lovely, made my hair feel healthy. I should have left it at that and continued box dying, but went back for balyage. I showed her the picture I wanted and explained I want to stay light on the roots so my grays aren't so noticeable. She lightened by baliage and darkened my roots. When blow drying I literally was scared. It looked like those girls that had blonde hair over black hair with a line growing across that never did the roots and red streaks in the dark area from the ends that touched it. So I explained I cannot look like that in my profession. She recommended highlights. The highlights are ok but now my hair looks like a broom. It's all fried. I was charged for the whole thing without any remorse. $270 like it was my fault that I didn't like the half black top hat with the red streaks and the white horse tail. I did leave a tip bc I don't know otherwise but I don't think this was appropriate at all. Fortunately it's hair that will grow back but as soon as my roots grow in I'll go back to box dye. She used a technique I've never seen a stylist use when cutting my hair. She was very knowledgeable on how to cut my hair, and seemed to be very experienced. I've been to salons before that put off very judge mental and fake vibes, but I never felt that from Carley. She was very down to earth and easy to talk to. Annika is AMAZING!! She is excellent with both cut and color! I have brown hair which is super challenging to work with when highlighting as I like "cool tones" (not brassy) when highlighting. I was looking up hair salons near my home for a last minute appointment and reached out to Kami Sori Salon via Yelp expecting not to hear back right away as it was almost 7 pm on. Friday. I received a response in about 2 minutes and was quickly contacted by Dario who got me in the very next day! Dario was so knowledgeable and took the time to listen to my request and even some concerns I'd had with my hair. I had the best hair cut and style about two weeks ago. Jessica was my stylist and she was the best ever person. It was awesome. I paid a little more than I normally do at Kami Sori but I felt the end result was worth it. I have curly hair and it has a mind of its own. After two weeks it still looks and feels great. A bad haircut would be cow licks flipping up and I would be wanting to wear a hat when products do not work. I have been towel drying and shaping and it looks so nice. I was telling Jessica Schoeder that I can look like an aged up Orphan Annie Scullery maid when it grows out. You can just imagine and that is not the look I am going for. Carley is one of the sweetest people you could ever meet and does an amazing job. My hair is unruly and difficult and Carley is able to work wonders on it. The location of this salon is super easy to access, right off the freeway. The staff is always super helpful and the hours are great. Having a demanding work schedule, Carley always makes it so easy to schedule something that works for me. I was growing out the worst haircut of my life and Jessica took the time to understand my hair, curl texture, and exactly what I wanted. I went in with what I thought was a botched bayalage and she was quick to point out the good techniques and what she could do to make it look more like what I had originally wanted.
