I had to follow up several times and they said my insurance was the hold up, but when I called my insurance, they said they sent their estimate to Seattle Special Care Dentistry weeks before (just a few days after the appt). It wasn't until I called my referring dentist to complain about the lack of customer service that I finally got a quote the next day. Seattle Special Care Dentistry clearly doesn't care and doesn't want your business.

They found, after numbing my gum and a few quick races with their brand new little x-ray gun (which makes it incredibly easy by the way) that there were a few small cracks in the tooth, but actually no cavity. Since I have terrible insurance right now and couldn't really afford to pay for the service, Dr. Choi said "no problem. We can defer this and there will be no charge for today." it is so refreshing these days when so much in life is so transactional. I was told a couple of times that they don't do that anymore. My blood pressure went through the roof going there because of how painful it is for me, like torture. I was diagnosed as having PTSD because of the issue. They made me leave because of my BP a few times. That said, they make it as easy, convenient, and painless (as it can be) for you. I'm a wuss when it comes to pain anymore. The older I get the more I whine about pain. They do you right and keep you from feeling anything (mostly!). Also, a super convenient side note I'd add is they send you e-mails reminding you of your appointment! They even send "invites" that you can put on your calendar on your computer. You don't even have to think about your appointment. They do it all for you.

Everyone we've interfaced with so far has been so kind and you just get a feeling they care about their patients. We were able to get caught up on new x rays and fillings within just a couple of weeks with Dr. Travis Hackney- who was so quick, yet very conscientious- no pain at all. And because we are close by we got in for cleanings super quickly when other patients had to reschedule. The dental hygeinest, Crystal, was so nice, thorough, and non-judgemental. She gave us great tips to keep up our hygiene regimen and avoid future problems. The office staff are lovely, and have been consistently great in explaining what our insurance covers and giving us accurate estimates ahead of time. I couldn't be happier with our new local dentist. I live in North Bend a long ways from DR. Arimas Office in McLeary but I was willing to do whatever…read morenecessary to get someone to fix my eroding dental work. I had a horrible experience with a prior dentist in Bellevue who wanted to pull 7 teeth nearing 80% loss on each of them and put implants ($24,000) in my mouth saying,"they can't be saved your wasting your time." Not believing them and upon my fiance`s request (a Shelton native) her family had been going to "DR. Don" for many years and had nothing but great experiences so I said I will give it a try. When I first arrived Dr. Arima`s and his awesome assistant Jennifer consulted me and eased my fears as I felt very ashamed of my teeth and they began meticulously measuring my mouth, taking X-rays and checking each tooth and taking pictures to make sure the level of treatment was done properly. They even did a clay mold of my mouth so they could study it for the best possible path of reconstruction. Once they had a grasp on how to fix the level of damage from years of not cleaning properly they outlined a plan for me and put my fears to rest and we began on a 8 month journey of Root Canals, Build ups, Crowns and taking out a few back molars that were root tips. Already Dr. Arima was able to save every tooth that the other DR in bellevue had said could not be saved. The level of patience and absolute meticulous ability they posses is unreal. They spelled out each procedure and what to expect every visit and I experienced no pain whats so ever and if I had any concerns listened and answered every question. After each time I went there my level of fear dropped to the point I wasn't even scared at all because I knew they both were well trained and beyond professional at every facet of dentistry. I would be willing to bet that Dr. Arima is one of the best dentists in Washington state and isn't out to dig in your pockets like many dentists but instead provide you with the best level of care possible and continue to expand his knowledge of dentistry where other dentists coast on their knowledge. Thanks to Dr. Arima and his awesome staff I can feel confident when I smile and chew food again and there is nobody I will let handle my dental work going forward but them period.
