We ate there numerous times this last week and I have to say it was very good . The steak sandwich was as good as any I've had and that includes a couple trips to Philly. I'm not sure what people see in this place. We ate breakfast here and it was okay. It wasn't the worst meal I've even eaten, but it was far from the best. Maybe it's because we are from Philadelphia and naturally accustomed to really good food and filling breakfasts that we felt disappointed eating here. I ordered a cheese omelette. It was okay. It was a little thin so I folded it up onto an overly buttered English Muffin. The restaurant does something unusual where they put to black olives as eyes and ketchup as a smiley face on top of your eggs. If you like olives and ketchup I guess that works, but personally we thought it was strange. We also don't like ketchup so we had to throw out the part of our breakfast touched by the ketchup. If the smiley face thing was advertised, we could have expected it and then requested to not have it, but that was not the case. My fiance ordered a scrambled egg with veggies and cheese, which was suppose to be served on a bagel. It was not. It was a dish of scrambled eggs with a bagel on the side. If I was really hungry I guess I'd go back, but I'm positive there are better restaurants. Nom nom nom.. walking into Kaminsky's, was like stepping right back into the Big Apple. The smell of fresh bread, potato knish's and the sandwiches was enough to make my mouth start watering. I ordered the "Big Apple" - Turkey and Pastrami, with coleslaw and Russian Dressing on Rye. It was so delectable and it felt like I was grabbing a perfect sandwich at a little shop in New York. The establishment was filled with NYC swag and Police badges from all over the country. We all know them New Yorkers really love their policemen and I'm hoping I can send them a badge from Baltimore City Police soon! This a cute little Deli restaurant. The staff is incredibly friendly and focused on ensuring that you get food you enjoy. They're attentive and the food is amazing!! They also have a good selection of the old style sodas like black cherry and cream sodas which are sometimes hard to find. If you want a delicious sandwich, you need to come here. This NY deli is wonderful. I was excited when I was saw the sign upon arriving to Myrtle Beach. I knew I had to make this one of my stops while in town. It does not disappoint! It started with the big welcoming smile as I walked in. We had the breakfast bagel sandwiches, as well as, everything bagels with cream cheese. The food is fresh and tasty. My daughter had the chicken salad sandwich on sourdough bread with lettuce - it was moist and fresh. It didn't have grapes or raisins in it like most chicken salads I've had and because of that my daughter enjoyed it more. I had a specialty sandwich called the Special "K." I grew up eating in NYC delis at least once a week from the time I was 5. I have lived in different areas of the country and it always seems no matter what town I am in, someone always has to say they are a New York Deli. Therefore, I am always weary about trying these places because scattered Yankee and Giants pictures mixed in with FDNY bumper stickers and pictures of the towers does not make you a New York Deli!! However, Kaminskys has all the makings of the scene including the token NY'ers behind the counter who are very nice. The pictures on the wall are of course Yankees, FDNY, NYPD, and 9/11 memorials. The setting is a bit crowded with tables nick knacks and hand written specials on printer paper scotch taped all over. My sandwich was OK, not authentic Rye or NY Rye. No big deal I know where we are and I have overcome my frustration with the bread situation here at the beach. The Corned Beef - sliced out of a bag. A true NY Deli would do their own and slice it in front of you. The slaw was good, but the 1000 Island was bland. Tuna mac was great and the pickle was again, straight out of a jar. If you are going to use pickles from a jar and call yourself a NY deli, at least use Bah Tempe Sour Garlic. They sell them at BILO... C'mon man!! Over all great sandwich for a sandwhich shop. I would have sent it back at a NY deli and left. Now, this cannot be excused under any conditions. This is a foul so hard on culinary principles you should be shut down and run out of town. I ordered a cup of gumbo to go with my sandwich. After a stint in New Orleans, I started to really enjoy gumbos and the different styles in which people make them. This one wouldn't even qualify as a half way decent Vegetable Chicken soup. First off - NO ROUX!! You have to be kidding me. Thats like a burger with no meat. An iced tea with no ice, macaroni and cheese with no cheese. Ultimate sin #1. Ultimate sin #2 - PEAS. #3 no rice. What was this stuff?? the only thing I knew for sure was it was the furthest thing from Gumbo I had ever seen in my life... Over all, very nice people who run it, Decor could use so help. Go to Manny's deli it is so much better, you get more food for your money, and your sandwich won't be slathered in Russian dressing. Manny's will also toast your sub the right way using an authentic toastmaster. Here they simply heat up the bun on the griddle which makes the bun all oily. The potato salad was also a disappointment, all I could taste was mustard, again I hate to sound like a broken record but Manny's the other New York deli in Myrtle Beach is so much better, Manny's potato salad puts this one to shame. I did not give this place one star simply because the decor reminded me of the city I grew up in-NYC. One last note, I did not try the breakfast bagels, but they looked good. read more

Came in for lunch, and I was immediately impressed with the menu. It's large and has plenty of variety. I had the New York Combo, with is pastrami and turkey with cheese and Russian Dressing. You get to choose between white, wheat, or pumpernickel bread. I chose the pumpernickel and had tuna macaroni salad as my side. While I loved the tuna macaroni, the sandwich was just ok. I should have ordered one of the cheesesteak subs, like the other reviewer on here did when they went. The sandwich was just a good, solid sandwich, which I could have done myself at home. I and my girlfriend went for lunch, and the place wasn't that busy. It's a small joint, filled with a lot of New York memorabilia. I ordered the New York Big Apple, which was FANTASTIC. The meat was fresh, the cheese was hot and melted, and the Russian dressing was fantastic. My girlfriend ordered the Tuna Egg Salad, which was decent. She wanted to be healthy, so don't blame her. It was alright, not really our thing, but it was made fresh. The prices were good considering the quality of the food. On top of that, the guy taking our order (Mike I think) knew that we had never been there before and was very nice and clear about how we had to order and whatnot. Overall, very solid hidden gem.
