No problems with theft or undesirables knocking on my door late at night or snooping. The John Steinbeck comparison is fine and the wonderful sound of the fog horn and sea lions barking makes for pleasant white noise when I fall asleep each night.... We were in site #207, a backend site under a huge cypress tree. The space was very long giving us room at the back as well as space for our toad in front. Site is packed gravel, level and included a cement patio and picnic table. Wide enough for slides and awning and offered privacy in back with a fence and line of trees between next loop. The tree blocked our satellite but free cable gave us approximately 40 channels. Internet like most parks was weak at best. They gave us free time on it based on our length of stay. Very dog friendly with multiple poop bag centers placed around the CG. Very easy to walk around and exercise your fur friends. Bathroom and laundry look clean but we never used them. Pickle ball, horseshoes and tons of room for catch or frisbee. Minutes away from redwoods, ocean and down town Crescent City. Walmart, Safeway, Ace Hardware, Home Depot and Big 5 are all minutes away if you need anything. We enjoyed our stay here very much and will come back on our next swing through northern CA.

Next time, I would choose a site farther back in the campground for a quieter experience. The campground amenities were clean and well-maintained. They offer showers, restrooms, tv hookups, and a small on-site store stocked with basic necessities. They also sell firewood, which was very convenient. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely consider returning, especially if we could snag a site a bit deeper in the park.

When we called, he told us where to put our rig for that night. He said we couldn't stay another night because it was reserved for someone else! He knocked on our door at 10:30pm to collect the payment, cash only, since he wasn't in the office upon arrival. The place is NOT near the beach. It's across a four lane highway and off the road. You cannot see the ocean or any sunset as advertised. It appears that most of the people there are long-term residents with old, uncared for rigs. Messy areas around sites, lots of weeds and an unkempt look to the whole park. In the morning, the manager, or his designee, showed up as were hooking up our rig and asked why we were leaving!!! He seemed to have forgotten that he told us the night before that we couldn't have two nights! We had gone out early and found another RV site in another park and left. We would never stay here again. Regarding the bathroom and laundry, we have no idea... I can only assume.

Plus the showers were clean and they have a semi furnished clubhouse that needs some attention that was open till 10pm with board games and toys. Would stay again if security issues were fixed.

Unfortunately the staff ! The maintenance guy has motivational issues and hides in a shop …read more.. nothing gets repaired. Ingvar moved on and the park suffered because the gal, Lisa who took her place is incompetent and talks rude to guests depending on her mood. They took accommodations away from the long-term guests and are very dishonest... Lisa bad mouths and gossips about the guests with other guests and slanders the company. My husband took a Dr.s recommended permission to use the showers which the Mngmnt demanded . He is disabled and required more space to shower as his condition worsened after we were there more than a year. Then they changed the pass codes without telling him on a Friday... no notice or explanation were provided. On the following Monday when we inquired why they locked him out Trish told him it was because I used the women's shower. When Trish gave Me the new code she said it was for " You guys" (my husband and I ). In writing! Then she refused to answer my calls and emails, even running away from me to avoid talking with me. (Very odd ) I cannot believe we were paying for extra dumpsters because the maintenance guy; Ray was throwing building materials and old tables , shelves and beds in our appointed dumpster. I suggested a community meeting and then Kelly lost his shower rights! People were leaving and moving away because the behavior of Lisa and increased rent and utilities were out of control. This is only the tip of the iceberg but enough to let everyone know what they may be stepping in if they stay there now.
