I have gone here twice and disappointed both times. The first time I was questioned about not tipping. I was planning on leaving cash not putting it on my card. The food here is just okay, nothing special. I only frequent this spot because it's near my house. I've had better sushi and hibachi but it's across town. It's a bit over priced in my opinion but it will satisfy my sushi cravings for now. If you don't mind driving to Buckhead or camp creek I say do it. You tummy will be happier. read more

First and last visit. When walking in I saw all these notices on the entrance obviously diners had been walking out without paying and not tipping hence a 15% gratuity is automatically added to bill. Restaurant staff is nice and approachable. They make you feel like it is all about customer service, "Whateva you like we do fo you"... only $20 dollar mo. In my opinion, entrees are OVERPRICED even though portions are pretty decent [I've had better]. This particular day I visited the fountain drinks were flat and had no flavor. The reviews for this place were on point. I would have chosen somewhere else based from the reviews but the location as convenient. I ordered shrimp and steak from the hibachi. Very rarely do I not eat the salad that comes with hibachi if ever. Welll this was a rarity in which I did not , the soggy lettuce had some ginger and watery dressing thrown on there that was not tast. I noticed my daughter didn't eat it either, which also is not normal for her. The soup was good. Then comes the chef with the fried rice they charge extra for! Well save your money, all it is is rice thrown on the grill add in some egg and soy sauce. No vegetables or anything in there. Just get the white rice and add your own soy sauce or the brown sauce they give you. The vegatables were good and varied. They included broccoli which was different and tasty. The shrimp and steak were okay. I would not go again nor recommend unless you go for the reason I did, convenience. The show was mediocreand service was, too. Had an early Father's Day dinner with the family and wow! Wow in a not so good way... First off we had a party of 8, maybe 9 and with 7 of us there we still weren't allowed to sit down... Okay fine. Then we got seated and ordered, and all was fine until chef had every square inch of grill in flames which caused my 8 year old son to jump back about 3 feet retreating toward the door, caused the ice in our cups to melt and for us 40 something ladies a mini hot flash where layers of clothes had to be removed. Towering inferno!!! REALLY??? Then as we prepared to leave, the hijinks are JUST starting at the table next to us and suddenly we see a gigantic flame and milliseconds later the flame spreads onto the serving table and then onto a woman, quickly engulfing her shirt, her arm and possibly her hair. I later found out that she was pregnant and now know why her insticts went against our cries to drop to the floor and roll; she did however get her shirt off as she ran out into the restaurant/sushi bar area. That couldn't have been a welcoming site for anyone waiting on a table... Anyway - I sincerely pray that the stress of the situation doesn't affect her unborn child and that the burns were only topical or singes. So in a nutshell, I think the mega-flames should be a thing of the past. I've been here several times for lunch hibachi, and each time it gets a little worse. They've gotten cheap...mostly cabbage instead of zucchini...no onion volcano...no shrimp appy. The sauces have changed as well; I'm certain the seafood/chicken sauce is merely mayo and ketchup. Everything was kinda bland, and the chef had no personality or special tricks for us. Awful, the waiters kept serving alcohol (strong liquor) to very drunk guests, burnt a small child and the poor kid had egg all over her. Food average but cold and soup made from packet mix. In trying to celebrate my nephews promotion 9 of my family members and friends gathered at the Kampala restaurant. To my surprise as I begin to start eating my shrimp and a roach crawled across my plate. I gave my plate to the cook and he immediately picked up the roach with his hand and threw it to the ground and stepped on it needless to say none of us paid tonight. So we came for an early Father's Day dinner because my kids are leaving in the morning for the week. As the Hibachi chef was doing his show he put WAY too much oil on the grill and the fire was WAAAAY too big and hot! We ate and then as we are preparing to leave the table next to us went up in flames and a lady was covered in fire!!!! Luckily everyone moved fast and she ended up being ok. Thank God but what added salt to the injury was when the paramedics came he informed us that they JUST burned a 2yrs. old baby the week before. Beware!!!!! I give them NO STARS!!! The food was delicious but the "manager" Cindy made our experience awful! We got our tab and there was a 15% service charge on the bottom for no reason. We called Cindy over and she told us that the reason was no one tipped in the area (but it said it wasn't a tip on the check) and because we were white she should have taken it off (really that's what she said). We told her it was illegal in Georgia to put gratitudity on a check anymore and she laughed at us. She also didn't card us for our drinks and tried get a to go cup for my glass of wine left, but that was the least of our worries when we saw the scam they are running. Yall!!!! I am yelping today!!!!! Disappointment is a understatement. The only reason it gets a one star is because my son said the sushi was good. We went here last Sunday to celebrate my son birthday. My son and my husband got sushi and I got the hibachi chicken. First my salad and soup came out. The lettuce was wilted and soaked in dressing. Nothing about this salad was fresh the soup was alright; mostly just broth. When my hibachi chicken came out it was on a fajitas skillet!!!!! All it was missing was the steam. The chicken was not cut in bite-size pieces like it usually is and was tough as all get out! Then they separated my vegetable and rice. The only vegetables was onions and zucchini.What happened to the carrots and broccoli?!! For $16.95, I could have went somewhere else!!!! Please don't waste your time, money or energy at this place. Service was bad waiter never came to give us any condiments that we asked for. She messed up our order and never came back to ask us how we were doing. The sous chef however was awesome he really made our night and was sympathetic for the lack of service the waitress was giving us. Went here for lunch on a Friday and it was pretty good. We decided to stay for the Hibachi. I got the salad, soup and sushi for starters. My salad was ugly, it looked like some orange grainy goop that was poured over it in a puddle of more liquid; it didn't taste too bad but not pretty. The soup was a little salty so I didn't end up eating much of it. The sushi was really good, we got the crunch roll which had avocado,fish and fried shrimp, so it was cooked. The hibachi menu didn't have much to choose from except for chicken, steak,shrimp,scallops,salmon and vegetables. I settled for the chicken and fried rice. The fried rice was pretty good and they gave me ALOT. The vegetables looked like a coleslaw mix from Publix, I would of preferred fresh cut veggies. The chicken was good and they gave you a good sized portion. I didn't like all the sauce that was on everything the salad, rice,veggies and chicken all had some type of sauce on it. I did have a really nice waitress who catered to all our needs with a smile on her face. Its not a place that I would really recommend to anyone but Ill go if I have too. read more

Got shrimp fried rice and the golden roll. The fried rice was a huge portion with big shrimp. The golden roll was really tasty too. It was only 8 pieces. The salmon wasn't smoked like it said on the menu. It was more just baked and had a sweet creamy sauce on the bottom. I also got a sea weed salad which was pretty good too. The hostess put our menus down and RAN away so fast we weren't even sure if we were supposed to sit. We were asked immediately what we wanted and we hadn't even opened the menus. I have been here many times with my family. It has changed over the years and the prices have went up. Last nite 25 family members went here for a birthday celebration. We saw on the front board- Today special- Steak and shrimp with fried rice for $14.95. Seven out of the 25 asked for special for $14.95. Service was slow, our cook had started to cook before we received our sushi. We are and now we receive our bills, it's showing $24.95 for the special. Now they tell us that is the lunch price. Nowhere on the board does it say lunch. Before could take a picture, they changed the price to $24.95. The 1 was changed to$Z4.95. I will never go here again. read more

Please avoid this location as the service is HORRIBLE! The female manger is rude. They charge an automatic service charge of 15% if you dine in and 10% if you take out. However, this service fee is not applied consistently among all patrons as I have asked to see others receipts!
