Chinese Donuts

I try to come here every few weeks now, I already left a review 4- months ago but this restaurant is just TOO good to not leave another positive review! My food is always fresh and hot! The customer service is AMAZING as always as well! :) 10/10 from me!

House Lo Mein, the best on the southside!!!
Antwynette R.

As others have mentioned, they have the best lo mein i've ever had on the south side! It has just the right amount of seasoning and sauce. The hot and sour soup was also good but a little too spicy for me. The honey lemon pepper wings were also good, but needed a little more lemon pepper seasoning. The shrimp fried rice had a good flavor, but they sure were skimpy on the shrimp. This is definitely a go to spot for lo mein and wings.

Philly Cheesesteak Egg Roll

I decided to give this place a try. During this quarantine, most places aren't open b it thankfully we still found one Chinese store open. First and foremost, customer service isn't there forte. There's a young lady at the register who would not make eye contact and answered everything in a nonchalant tone. She could care less about being there. Her attitude was poor. The wings were alright but I would not come here for them again honestly. The noodles were actually pretty decent. The Philly cheesesteak roll was an alright. In all honestly, I don't think I'll be giving this place a second chance. Due to the lack of customer service and poor taste in the food. I also thought the prices were a little much. I've had so much better for a few dollars less.

Pepper Steak Combo

July 2022 This is my closest 'family owned' Chinese spot, really close to my house, so of course I had to try it out! Happy Dragon is quietly sandwiched between a holistic smoothie spot, an American deli type wing place, a pizza place, a grocery store, and a sit down restaurant. So it's an easy choice for anyone craving Asian food in the Wesley Chapel area. I ordered the pepper steak combo ($10.xx). -This includes chicken fried rice( unfortunately they don't add any vegetables nor eggs but lots of onions and bean sprouts) and an egg roll.I was highly satisfied with the amount of food for what I paid. -Flavors were spot on, exactly what I expected for take out, except I believe my eggroll was fried in old grease and I couldn't eat it :(. There is plenty of seating available, but the vibe is definitely more of a takeout atmosphere. There is a dedicated area for takeout supplies like duck sauce, spicy mustard, straws, forks, and a couple of fountain drink options. Service: 5/5 Prices: 5/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Taste/Textures: 4/5 (egg roll needs its own grease and replaced often ) Value:4/5 Bottom Line : I'm loving this local Chinese food option, I did see they also offer seafood boils. Although there were a couple of things I would change, it's a solid decision for takeout on a weeknight, lol. Noticed that they have a philly cheesesteak eggroll so I will try that next time!

Sweet and sour chicken combination platter

An unassuming hole-in-the-wall, this place was admittedly not our first choice but we were impressed by what we got. The portions were huge, enough for two people, and the flavors were better than what we expected from the place. The cashier lady even gave us some free chicken after my friend spoke Canto to her!

This restaurant is an absolutely legend and staple of the Emory-neighborhood. Whatever you do you MUST go at some point in your ATL career. Everything they do, they do well, and you can feel like you're participating in a little piece of local history by coming to this spot that's been here 40+ years and counting! I mean truly, TRULY-- one dish is better than the next, so I couldn't pick just one. HOWEVER if you NEED a rec / crowd pleaser, you can't go wrong with the Mongolian Beef! Any way-- enough said-- make Golden Buddha a part of your ATL repertoire!

We ordered a variety Mongolian beef, rice, soup, spring rolls, and lo mein and everything had good flavor. No major complaints on taste. Where it lost points for me was the pricing and menu structure. It's a pretty expensive Asian spot, and unlike most places, you can't really mix and match smaller items easily. You're mostly choosing between full dinner plates or single items that run $20+, which adds up quickly. We ended up around $80 for two people, and for what it is, that just didn't feel worth it. Service was decent, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. Overall, not bad, not great just somewhere in the middle. Ratings: Price: 1/5 (for this type of place) Food Taste: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Overall: Around a 3/5, good food, but the pricing holds it back.

My…read morecoworker always orders from Chinese Dhaba and it always smells so delicious so I was very eager to try it. For anyone unfamiliar, Chinese Dhaba is actually a type of Indian restaurant called Indo-Chinese because it's the Chinese food that is prepared Indian-style. They do have some typical "chinese" food dishes that you'd find in another American Chinese establishment, but that's not the main attraction. I ordered Chicken 65, Egg Drop Soup, Chicken Spring Samosas, Chilli Paneer, and a mango lassi. First things first, the mango lassi was absolutely delicious and I pretty much licked the cup clean. I wish the rest of the country appreciated mango lassi the way that I do. The chicken spring samosas were just okay, they seemed to be missing something in my opinion. The Chicken 65 was great, yummy little nuggets of spicy fried chicken. The chilli paneer was also just okay. The sauce tasted more like a Manchurian sauce IMO. It wasn't very spicy, my Chicken 65 was spicier than my paneer. It was still tasty though. The only thing that I categorically did not like was the egg drop soup. It was very thick and totally flavorless. I tried adding my wonton chips to it and it didn't help much. Overall a nice experience and I will certainly order again in the future as I am a big fan of indo-Chinese cuisine!

Yet, instead of the Paneer Mango Masti, we were served a chicken dish. This was gross, humiliating, and deeply upsetting, especially for my mother and me, as we are strict vegetarians. The food itself was average at best, and unfortunately, our previous visit was also disappointing. When I called to complain, I spoke to someone named Berni, who refused to transfer me to the manager and tried to "resolve" the situation with a coupon for a free entree. This is not an appropriate response for such a serious mistake in serving the wrong dish to strict vegetarians- it's not about a free meal, it's about basic respect and proper service. Overall, this experience was unacceptable, and after multiple disappointing visits, this will be our last visit to this restaurant. (We've attached photos of the receipt and the dish for reference.)

The Mooshu chicken comes with lots of tender sliced cooked veggies in a light sauce. The pancakes that they are served with help wrap the food up nicely and then top it with the plum sauce for a nice finish. The roast pork lo mein was the winner though! Wow! This restaurant offers a wide range of scrumptious Asian foods…read more The menu is expansive and features Vietnamese, Thai and other Southeast Asian dishes. We stopped in as a group of three. All of us tried variants of Pho --- all excellent. We also tried fresh Spring and Fried rolls --- very tasty. This is first Vietnamese restaurant I've ever visited that does not skimp on the slices of fresh beef in Pho. All the ingredients are remarkably fresh and tasty. If you visit in the winter months and get cold easily, sit in the booths. During our visit, overhead air ducts were pushing out cold air on the chairs and tables situated in the center of the restaurant and it became uncomfortable for us after sitting for more than 30 minutes. Go and enjoy. You won't be disappointed. The food here is excellent. I wish this place was near our home!

The prices at this restaurant is actually pretty cheap in comparison to other restaurants I've been to so that is a plus! Overall, I wouldn't come here again for pho. I haven't tried any of their other dishes, so I can't speak on that, but if you want pho, I'd look elsewhere.
