The laundry was clean but could use more machines. The park hostess was very welcoming I think her name was Shari she gave us meal ideas in the area. The only problem was quiet hours I was told it was 10 pm so I was leaving and I seen quite a few people talking very loudly around the deck area. I told my sister she should notify office to complain but found out a manager was part of the party so if a manager is there quiet time doesn't matter.

My dogs are rooting to come back as the dog park was simply amazing. Roads in and out were well planned for big rigs and especially for big rigs towing a vehicle. Noise from the highway was very muted and just to be sure we slept well, we ran our a.c. fan on low. It was simply the best!

While there is no dog park, there is lots of room to walk the pups in the shade or in the sun. The trees are very mature and give a lot of shade but not on the pull-thru sites. The sites are level but a bit close. Still easy to get in and out. The kids have several different playground areas, a swimming pool, and lots of open areas to ride their bikes to keep them busy. The freeway is about 2 miles, easy off and on, but none of the noise.

I decided to find an RV park near Litchfield, IL where I could leave my camper so I wouldn't have to drag it back down South for a one day job. I called Lazy Days Campground inquiring about an RV spot for two nights, briefly explaining my situation. The gentleman whom answered the phone was initially helpful but made it clear that they could only accommodate me for two nights because they were booked up for the weekend. He then affected an extremely belligerent tone and warned me that he would hook a tractor to my travel trailer, drag it to the middle of the road and call a wrecker to haul it away if I hadn't returned by Friday. His remark made me laugh as I visualized him doing this and he became furious. I told him that I would be making other arrangements so as not to cause him any unnecessary distress and he blew-up at me saying that I wasted his time. I apologized and remarked at his rudeness and poor customer service skills before ending the call. He immediately called me back threatening to call my employer and get me fired. (I hadn't told him who my employer was.) In a very loud voice he informed me that he wasn't "Customer Service" but rather, "THE Manager!" Then he challenged me to drive to the campground so he could whoop me. After the second call, I began researching ownership of this campground so I could inform the owner, whom I learned is Lanny Leach, of the way his manager is speaking to potential customers. I'll be darned if I didn't receive another call from this guy asking if I was on my way over and making more threats. I told him I would be contacting Lanny regarding his behavior and he said that the owner was standing right next to him. When I asked if I could speak with Lanny, the man said that he didn't want to talk to me but rather, wanted me to dive over for a confrontation as well. This park looks beautiful but if my phone experience is any indication as to the customer service they offer... No thanks!

We did notice a stab spot on our door... my husband put his knife in it and it fit perfectly. So someone in the past literally stabbed the door with a knife... kinda creepy. But overall was a good experience. The mini golf is old and falling apart. The staff member said that they were planning on redoing it this year.

The roads in the campground are in need of repair and lots of potholes and rough driving surfaces. Bonus is the close access to Lake of the woods. We came here for just one night as we are on our way to Memphis…read more It's a bit off the highway to get back into here, but the roads were safe enough. They were super friendly at check-in and even offered chocolate chip cookies, which is a first. They also had popcorn. There is also Fatso's pizza place that is part of the front office and they give you a menu upon check-in. We were assigned to site two, which had a beautiful Lake view and was on the end so we had fairly unobstructed views of the lake. There's plenty of green space in this park and they had Disc golf as well as a pretty nice playground for the kids. The sites are fairly close together and there are 60 total sites in the campground, so seem like they had plenty of room. There are a lot of different site types that you can reserve, including one that is completely paved with some patio furniture. They also have cabins to rent if you don't have a camper. Loved all the shade trees too. We did not use the public showers or restroom so I cannot comment on that. With a good Sam discount, this place was $53 per night. Make sure to try the pizza, we ordered a small one just for a snack and it was fantastic! Make sure to ask them to make the cross extra crispy if you like it that way. All the utilities worked fine although I will say, even with our filter, the water had a little bit of an odor to it. Not sure what that was all about. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within about a mile of this place as well.

The staff was friendly, the site was level, and the setting was beautiful and serene. The camp even has a bar (lounge) where you can get beer, mixed drinks and pizza. They offer free cookies and free popcorn in the office. this was a great experience! They also have a central area where you can grill and a great kids area.
