We scheduled an appointment two days out from when we spoke. They even sent an email confirming date and time. I agreed with a written response. Day of the appointment arrives. I am at my location early. About 10 mins pass from the time we agreed to meet, so I contacted Jim. He tells me his GPS has him all turned around, and he should arrive in another 10 mins. The 10 mins come and still no show. I text Jim that I had already left, and that 20 mins past our scheduled appointment was too much. What bothers the most is the lack of courtesy and respect of other's time. If Tree Busters had contacted initially about their running late, this review would have been different.

It is disappointing to have to give a less than stellar review, because Cloudy Sky did some…read moreimpressive work on the first job I hired them for. Unfortunately the second job went much worse. Cloudy Sky would not stand by their work, which left me scrambling at the last minute to hire another crew to finish the job. The first job was to cut down a 50' Aspen tree in a relatively confined space. Cloudy Sky's bid was very competitive compared to the other bids, so I went with them. Cloudy Sky did a great job felling a tall tree into a very limited space, and they also did not destroy the lawn, which the other companies warned me they likely would. I do wish they had warned me that Aspens respond to being cut down by sending out underground roots in every direction and sprouting up tens of little suckers in my and my neighbors' yards. There are ways of avoiding this problem, but I didn't know about any of this until it was too late. But I can forgive this oversight, as Aspens are not native to this area and many people don't know about this problem. Based on this good experience, I hired Cloudy Sky to grind the Aspen stump as well as another massive Cedar stump. This job went sideways from the start. A Cloudy Sky estimator failed to give me the information I needed to prepare the area around the stumps, so when the crew arrived they couldn't do the job, which was really disruptive as I was having to coordinate with my neighbor to cross their property. After I prepared the area, and we rescheduled to have the crew come back, they did grind the stumps. But when I shoveled the wood chips out of the area, I discovered that in some places it was not as deep as the 6-8" below grade promised on the contract. In a few places, the stump was basically still at grade (see attached photo). I don't fault the crew for this, as there were a *lot* of wood chips that obscured the ground and made it easy to miss spots like this. But I am very unhappy that even when I sent them this photo, they wouldn't come back to fix the job. Worse, for several weeks they led me to believe that they *were* open to fixing it, so when I finally realized they weren't going to come back (they never explicitly said this, they just sort of ghosted me), I had to scramble to hire somebody else at the last minute before my landscaping crew arrived later that week. Unfortunately, this experience led me to conclude that Cloudy Sky will not stand by their work.

The crew was extremely professional, efficient, and worked incredibly fast. Everything was done safely, cleanly, and exactly how you'd hope a professional crew would handle it. As a firefighter, my crew at the station immediately volunteered to "help" me take the trees down ourselves. Let's just say chainsaws, a ladder truck, and a bunch of firefighters with a day off could have turned into a very entertaining situation for the neighbors. In the end, I decided to leave it to the actual tree professionals--and I'm glad I did. The Ablaze team made it look easy and had the whole job done way faster (and probably with far less chaos) than my crew would have. Requested weeding, mulching, and trimming of shrubs, got invoiced for mulching and trimming, so that is what they did, so that's my fault that they didn't weed. Quality of work is subpar. Low attention to detail. Not great listeners even when talking prior to work being done m like when I asked them to not trim a specific section, but add mulch still. Uneven trimming of shrubs, mulch on shrubs and not under the actual shrubs. They were responsive, but that's the only thing good about them. Just wait for Olivia to respond to this with specific things like "look at your compost bin and cameras, we clean", despite there being noticeable trimmings leftover. PS. 'The Pink Guys LLC' is not a registered business in Washington state. Edit: as you can see the response from the owner. The guy didn't bring enough mulch so he spreads it thinly and then lies about what i said. Said cutting the neighbors shrub was a curtesy when I asked for it before invoice was created, but since they chose not to put it in the invoice, it's not their problem. I met with him once, then before I left to soccer practice, and asked him to trim the top cuz he didn't, despite my invoice stating he would trim. He was too lazy to bring out the ladder... I don't have your number bud.. only your wife's. Nevertheless, you definitely need someone supervising you every 10 minutes because there is a standard procedure of putting tires on a car correctly, not just hand tightening them... let my photos speak for itself... lol
